If you know anything about planning a funeral during this time then you know how extremely difficult it was getting things done. This was the first place to treat us with a little warmth. We got to come in and design our stone. We seen sample stones. It may not seem like much but considering we had to pick out his casket, flowers and burial spot from a book this was nice to be able to do. The ladies that assisted us were VERY accommodating and any time I needed help with questions they responded very quickly. We got a very nice and beautiful headstone. Hopefully, we will not have to use them any time soon. But will definitely bring our business here when that time comes.

They were able to get the urns filled and given to us in a timely fashion even with covid. We were able to see my father before her was cremated. That was very much appreciated as I was unable to see him in ICU or on the hospice floor because of covid. I saw him, spoke to him and said my words to him. I wanted to personally thank the staff at Holy Cross Cemetery for the excellent service and…read moreassistance I received during my visit to the cemetery.  I wanted to specifically mention John McIntyre and one of the groundskeepers (I was not able to obtain his name, but he was very helpful as well).  We do not often hear the compliments and praise for the work we do, and I wanted to reach out to you and let you know that your/their hard work is noticed and appreciated.  I was able to locate the graves of both sets of grandparents at Holy Cross Cemetery with their assistance, placed flowers on their graves and tidied/cleaned up the area around the graves - although, not much was needed - just some trimming and cleaning but I found the grounds to be well maintained and the staff very helpful.  One suggestion I would make it to repaint the numbers/letters on the small stones that denote the sections and repaint/refresh the street/road signs for easier use.  I appreciate your dedication to those of us that want to remember, visit and honor our families at Holy Cross Cemetery. I couldn't find the grave the last time I made a visit. However there was a stone down and broken. It may have been on top of our loved ones grave. I have called, e-mailed with no return call or e-mail. I'm trying to find who the CEO of the cemetery is so I can report John. Why is it so hard to look up the Section and Lot Number for me? This is bad business practice. I will be reporting them to the better business bureau.

She had dementia so we were already grieving for some time as parts of her memory and function continued to slip away. My mother first met with Clinton and she was so impressed by how detailed he was in aspiring to create an experience that honored my grandmother's life vs simply directing a funeral. She said he even opened with a prayer. When we met for the second time, the whole immediate family was there and we got the same compassionate, professional experience that opened with a prayer and a review of EVERY single detail of the experience he wanted to create for us - including the sermon, music, flowers, programs, and prayer cards. I liked that he had a working professional relationship and friendships with so many pastors, musicians and florists in the community and knew them well, so his recommendations and observations were also spot on. It felt good to walk out of there knowing that even though we were approaching our darkest hour of grief, we were in steady, capable hands for he exudes such confidence and professionalism that you know he can be trusted to deliver. And deliver he did. If you know anything about dementia, one of the worst things about watching your loved one's mind disappear is watching them physically waste away to skin and bones. My grandmother was always a pleasantly plump woman, known for her delicious dinners that packed the house every Sunday and holiday, so to watch her unable to even process how to hold a fork at the end was devastating. She might not have even weighed 100 pounds when she passed. Clinton did such a wonderful job with presenting her like the queen she had always been, such a good job with restoring her beauty and resplendence to her former healthy self that she looked like she was just resting elegantly, perhaps having an itis-induced slumber that her meals were known to induce. LOL What suprised me even more was the fact that he sang as well! When I saw his name on the program, I thought he was going to play something but he got up there and BEAUTIFULLY sang the perfect song to really illustrate my grandmother's unchanging love and kindness despite her journey with that awful disease: "My Soul Has Been Anchored". From start to finish, from plan to execution, from picking us up at the house to dropping us back off at the church after the interment for the repast, everything was seamless and amazingly done - a true balm after enduring the trauma of both the illness and final days before her passing. I cannot recommend Clinton and his services more highly enough. Thank you so much for taking care of my family and grandmother as we honored her transition to her heavenly reward.

Our family's experience with the Cremation Society of Pennsylvania has been extremely frustrating…read moreand disappointing during an already very difficult time. It has now been 16 days since our grandmother passed, and we still do not have her ashes. Throughout this process, communication has been inconsistent and unclear. Each time we contact the organization, we are given different explanations for the delay, including state paperwork issues and staffing shortages, but no one has been able to provide a clear timeline or proactive updates. In addition, our cousin specifically requested that our grandmother's fingerprints be taken as a keepsake, and we later learned that this request was never completed. Discovering this after the fact was extremely upsetting for our family. Today, our cousin was even told that she could not pick up our grandmother's ashes because "another family was coming in." Being turned away under those circumstances only added to our frustration and made us feel that our family's needs were not being treated with the care and urgency they deserve. We have repeatedly been told that our loved one is being handled with compassion and care, but unfortunately our family has experienced very little communication, accountability, or follow-through during this process. Families place an enormous amount of trust in funeral and cremation services during one of the most vulnerable times in their lives. We hope the Cremation Society of Pennsylvania will address these issues and improve how they communicate with and support grieving families. At this point, our family is simply asking for clear answers and the prompt return of our grandmother's remains so we can finally lay her to rest.

It was the combination of the sights and sounds of St Pauls, a place that holds so many memories for me, most of them now bittersweet. The weight of these visions, weighed me down in the pew, and I could do nothing but let them wash over me and let the tears anoint my cheeks... If you are searching for a comprehensive, useful review here, stop reading. Instead, you will have to endure the muddled recollections of a broken man. St Pauls is a fine enough church with a friendly and welcoming congregation, the only possible criticism is that its a little too traditional and it possibly puts too much emphasis on the external beauty of itself more than the internal (soul). I grew up here, St Pauls was (is?) my home church. I was "forced" to come here as a teen by my Godmother/Aunt, who was worried about my spiritual upbringing. My adolescence was not a fun time. An absent father and an alcoholic and mentally ill mother were wearing away at my soul and I could have gone a number of directions in my social life- all of them damaging. I credit my Aunt with getting me to the right place at the right time thus steering me into the right direction. At St Pauls, I found the perfect family in their Youth Group, affectionately known as SPY (St Pauls Youth). In them, I made friendships and connections that have lasted throughout my life. My fellow teens became like brothers and sisters and the Youth advisers became like parents ( or maybe more accurately, cool aunts and uncles). It was this motley crew, that kept me in line and sane throughout the tumultuous High School years. Upon Graduation, we, who were left behind, didn't want it to end so we volunteered to guide the next generation of SPY and formed our own group of 20somethings, who met with the singular purpose to play some intense Volleyball...and maybe talk about that God guy. It was at our weekly Volleyball meetings that I met my future wife, a beautiful , shy but courageous German au pair, who found our group by flipping through the phone book. I was almost immediately smitten and what followed was a great relationship, that yielded a marriage and 2 wonderful children. So many of our milestones happened here. We weren't married here ( it took place in Germany) but we did have a quasi-reception for family and friends, who didn't make the trip to Germany. There were baptisms, Christmas pageants, play groups, and of course, our weekly Sunday school and church. St Pauls was as much a part of our lives as any family member could be. St Pauls was the epicenter of everything good and positive in my life Sadly, mental illness reared its ugly head in my life once again and claimed both my wife and a beloved member of my SPY youth leaders in a way that intertwined us in the worst of possible ways. No details only to say that all of the good and positive in my life had become a negative of itself. To look back at the "good" times was torturous and instead, I distanced myself from St Pauls. A place that was once the epicenter of good was now the epicenter of pain. So many memories, so many ghosts, swirled around the church and I, in my anguish, avoided it altogether. ...Until this year. I don't know what possessed me to attend the Christmas service with my estranged wife and children. They ( the kids) always loved the candlelight service and singing Christmas Hymns and I have to say that St Pauls does it right. They had a string quartet complete with the most melancholy of instruments, the cello and I cant even explain to what it was like for this soundtrack to accompany the ghosts of my past like that. It was tough indeed, but by the end, I feel like I had forged an uneasy truce with the building. Its hard to say, whether or not I look at St Pauls as a place where everything good began or everything bad began. I cant blame a building for the acts of man (and women). Those tortuous memories dwell inside of me, regardless of if this Church still stands or how far I am away from it and its up to me to keep the ghosts from chilling my heart. What I'm trying to say, St Pauls, is that I forgive you. Oh yeah, did I mention that Captain Noah goes here? Awesome!

St. Pauls is a wonderful church from end to end when I entered. Beautiful inside with 100 year old…read morestained glass windows. A very solemn place but with an active parish with most all parishoners particpating at the service as I looked around. There is young,middle and high school age kids. The pastor did a very nice job and was a seasoned preacher. The message was nice and the service was traditional. After the service they had a nice coffee hour and the parishoners were as friendly there as they were when I entered. That made me feel like everyone was truly genuine. I learned there was much activities offered for kids, adults and families. I will definately attend again.
