Often, there is a wait, but it has a large waiting area. Prices are average for oil changes and other minor things I have done over the years. The location is convenient. The last time I went in was for an oil change and tire rotation. They also aired the tires or said so. I paid the bill and got out to my car to see my tire on the driver's side flat. It was packed inside, and I didn't want to mess around any longer, so I aired it myself. My checklist showed that everything worked, which was amazing since my Windshield fluid container has been broken for some time. I will continue to go there until I can get moved from this horrid area. I don't see much promise from any place around here, and this is one of the better places.

Three days after getting the car back, so called headed gasket that they said they fixed, failed. She had the car towed back to the location where it has been sitting for 7 months!!! And they keep saying...It'll be next week, it'll be 2 more weeks, we didn't order the part, we have a new district manager, wait the old DM is back, opps we forgot this part. Over the course of 7 months my daughter wasn't even offered a rental car, she has been renting her grandmothers since this has happened. Called car-x corporate. Just a dead end of garbage. Called Monro a month ago, who apparently owns most carx locations and tried to get somewhere there, only to be hung up on because I referred to their corporate office as "you people". Was informed that she wasn't "people" and was a person just like me. Asked for someone in charge to handle this and was informed that this was the first they knew about it. You can't be serious? Then she hung up. Woke much? This company is an absolute joke. We were supposed to get her car back yesterday. Guess what?! We still don't have it. At this point it just seems like a running charade of lies and they could care less. Next stop for us is the Illinois Attorney Generals office for a complaint along with the BBB. Maybe we'll get the car back before 2024. Doubtful Then you message and tell me to select Option 6 and that option isn't available. Absolute joke of a company.

Once I left the Center I checked my car for money that I had set aside to run errands for the day, but it was missing! I immediately went back into the Auto Center to tell the desk worker, but they didn't believe me and refused to ask the Associate who had actually worked on my car if he had taken it or seen it. And after seeing that I had become angry they had then told me that the Associate had conveniently just went on break! I decided to call corporate to better handle the situation. Then they expected me to pay for the part they broke. Owner became very belligerent on the phone and even called my daughter a "Tramp" and we had to get the police involved to resolve the bill. STAY AWAY!!! Update: It also appears that they broke a piece of the molding in the wheel well. URRRRGGGG! Another Update: Looks like they did a bunch of damage to the rotor and some other parts under the car. HAD HAMMER MARKS ALL OVER THE ROTOR! Had to replace it. About $800 in damage! I just had my oil changed while I waited. (I did have an appointment.) Terry is a professional who knows what needs to be done and recommends schedule for future service. It is always fun chatting with Frank if he is around. Prices are comparable to most places, but the service over big dealerships is so much nicer. No fancy waiting rooms, but you don't need one when you get this quality. Highly recommend you visit Minus Muffler & Service in Macomb, IL for any mechanical, muffler, or other service. I recently purchased new tires here, also and they are great!
