Everyone was staring as he smashed carts, slammed stuff into the ground, and ran around yelling. The teenage staff laughed and said there was nothing they could do but they agreed it was a problem. I finally asked to speak with the owner (grandma) who didn't seem to take it seriously at all. Customers were shocked and gossiping about it. I've never seen this happen before so I'll go back but if it happens again I won't return.

On our last day in Minneapolis I happen to notice that we'd be able to attend this Sunday event. Farmers Markets in California all range in size so I didn't really know what to expect for this one - holy cow! It was huge and lots of different local things. They had Minnesota grown produce, handmade products, fresh flowers, baked good and so much more. I was introduced to Ty's Gingseng (https://www.tysginseng.com/) who grows and sells 6 year old ginseng powder - which is very high quality. I also bought relish from Red Ron's as well as some sausage links from another vendor. To be honest I probably could have spent at least 1.5 hours here if I wanted to really study all the booths and check everything out, but we had brunch plans and needed to depart within 45 mins. I was able to get a great sourdough round and some baguettes for dinner. My daughter loves these spicy cheddar rolls from one of the vendors (keep a look out for them). You cannot go wrong. It is in a central spot that makes this easy to get to, free parking and it is open fairly year round. As a tidbit, it is right next to my favorite coffee shop that makes a great Vietnamese coffee!!! There are no dogs allowed in this market. There is often live music and there are also vendors selling breakfast sandwiches, tacos, Asian eats and everything in between. There's about 7-10 local growers of produce, 1 flower seller, 0-1 Breadsmith, occasionally a honey and jam stand, and maybe 1-2 produce resellers. Since it's set up in a large park, families will head to this market early, maybe get some breakfast at the creep stand, listen to a musician or get the kid's face painted (depending on if entertainment is hired by the city), and take a stroll on the path or sit in the grass. They also have a good selection of other snacks and local goodies worth checking out. Mary in the Country Store was great, friendly, helpful, and made sure we had everything we needed. The sweet shop hardly had anything but caramel apples and few stuffed animals. It's still pretty early in the season so it's weird to see the space so empty same with the other shop/cafe. Not much going on. The cafe where you order food was odd looking. Like a counter in the back of a warehouse vibes. Floor was messy and just didn't look like somewhere you should eat out off. I got in like to grab a cider flight. There was one person working the bar but it was basic pours. The line stayed consistently busy. By time I got to the front ~15 min of waiting I was told they were out of the cups they needed for the flights so he told me he would flag me when they restocked them. I came back about 10 min later and they were restocking cups and the line was still consistently long. Never was flagged down and ended up waiting another 10 or so minutes in line. When I got to the front they were having issues with the payment system. Just wasn't my luck. I did end up getting my flight, 4 ciders, pretty good but I'm generally over the experience. I also got a cider float w/ a donut. I guess because they were so busy despite the menu saying one thing (that you can choose the cider flavor) they used a basic cider for all of them. It was decent. I literally bought 60 bars last year, which he gave me a deal on at $3 a bar (usually $4 each). The meat vendor has the best brats I've ever had as well. They are pricey at $7.50 for only 4 brats but they are worth it. They also cook and serve fresh brats during the market. My favorites are Italian Mozzarella and the chicken brats. Send me a comment if you have one of those 2 brats and they aren't the best you've ever had, I would like to know where I can get better Fresh bouquet of flowers for only $5! I'm sure this is available at most markets, but have to mention it. If I ever get remarried I will speak to those guys about furnishing my wedding. They have an EBT station which is a great idea but don't see many taking advantage of it. Saw my first food truck this year (2013) so maybe this will be a good spot to eat each Thursday if more catch on. However the brats are so amazing that I'm not sure if I would stop getting those anytime soon Perfect place for someone who wants to juice. Most veggies are only $1 to $2 a bag so you can budget $20 and have a weeks worth of juice.
