I went with my wife and toddler to see the tulips here in May. While the farm and flowers themselves were quite nice, there were several factors that made this a negative experience. The primary one, that I'll write about here, was very poor line management and a huge lack of clarity. They have "Tickets" and "Wristbands" buying a "ticket" makes you eligible for a "wristband, but they are not the same thing. They had a terrible solution. Where you wait in an insanely long line (literally an hour long) to get a "ticket" then you have to go all the way back to another insanely long line to get a "wristband" in order to get in the hayride that takes you to the flowers (they would not allow people to walk). There was not clear signage which lead to a lot of confusion that really slowed things down. What made things worse is that we were there right at opening time, so we completed the idiotic process properly. But about an hour in the staff realized how bad their idea was, and tried to combine the lines which led to a ton of people being able to budge us, which was really unfortunate and frustrating. I certainly would never visit this place again on a weekend. It was such a poor experience. Maybe going during the week when visitation is not at peak could be feasible. read more

Went back after a few years. It was a lot busier which is to be expected however they can not handle how many people are going. There are no signs telling you where to get what. We bought tickets online in advance, but there was no sign for online sales. Then once we finally found the right line there's only one iPad so the guy had to walk away to get it to scan our tickets. Once you get out of the main area (we ended up walking because only two trackers were going and the line was super long) it was good. We liked the lower area but the front was a total mess and took way more time than it needed to. Pretty disappointed. Hopefully they can fix the front area before next season. Also, there were SO many bees. read more

Brand Farms really is a one-stop shop for fall fun! It gets quite crowded during the weekends but there is plenty of free parking after going down the gravel road leading up to the farm. There were attendants gesturing where to park which was helpful. After parking, there's a small shopping area where you can purchase baking and dip mixes, meat, eggs, jams, honey, and more. This is also where you can purchase empty bags for apple picking. You can pay with credit card or cash here. I tried the maple syrup breakfast sausage links and they were delicious, but definitely on the sweeter side. There is also a food truck where you can get apple cider donuts, and there were baby cows to see too! After exiting the shopping area, you can ride a wagon with straw bales over to the other area of the farm, or you can walk. It's a bit of a hike so I would recommend riding the wagon. The next area has so many activities: pumpkin patch, apple picking, paintball shooting, bouncy mats for children, and other little games and activities for children. There were so many photo spots as well. My favorite activity was the apple cannon, where you can pay $5 (cash, credit card, or venmo) for a bucket of apples, load them into a cannon, and blast them into old cars. The cannon is SUPER loud so bring ear plugs or ear protection -- my ears still hurt a little bit the next day. There was also live music and a couple food stands selling items such as apple cider and walking tacos. If you walk a little further you'll reach rows and rows of apple trees, sorted by type with clear signage. There were a handful of varieties to choose from, such as honeycrisp, sweet tango, sno-sweet, and crab apples. There were a lot of bees and mushed apples on the ground so I would wear appropriate clothing and shoes that you don't mind getting a little dirty. read more

Went this past weekend with family and got to pick some fresh apples. Although there was a map online I think it would be beneficial to have a sign up front near the hay rides and store for people to know the route. This would help all the new comers, walkers & people who just happen to come by without knowing the website existed. When we went up to ask how it worked we were never told there was a walking option which I think was odd. Why not tell customers about the hayride and walking option? ( We only found out by other visitors talking about it near us) There was a ride variety of age groups there so posting how long the walk is would be beneficial as well. All though the walk was fine for my family & I, it was not for others walking. When getting to the apple picking area the employee at the gate got asked by multiple people where certain apples could be found or if any were left and the employee had no idea. That definitely bummed some of us out. We were able to find the ones we wanted but I just wish there was better communication & knowledge across the team for a better experience for visitors. read more

Visited Brand Farms for pick your own apples on a weekend. They have different bag sizes to choose from and you can pay in their outdoor market. From the market you can take a tractor pulled wagon ride to the orchard. They had two tractors running so we didn't wait for too long. At the orchard they had food trucks, live music and many activities to do besides picking apples. We tried the Apple cannon which was very amusing. The pick your own apples are available in a handful of flavors. Each row is labeled so you can choose which row to go down. Back at the market they have many goodies to purchase. We had a great time at this farm and will plan to come back next fall! read more

What a fun place to visit! We brought our daughter here to try and start a new family tradition and it was a hit! There are so many things to do and so much to see! We skipped the apple picking this time around but will definitely be checking that out next year. We picked our own pumpkins, bought a ton of goodies from the little market/store and enjoyed an apple cider slushie concoction that was absolute perfection. I love being able to support local and felt like we got a great value from what we spent! We are sold and will be return customers year after year! read more

We come here weekly year round. They only have their daily market in the fall but we purchase fresh eggs from their barn every week. Very fresh. They have lots of products: eggs, apples, apple breakfast sausage, apple bratwurst, apple cider, apple pie, apple crisp, apple donuts, apple slushies, dehydrated apples, etc... Too many to list. Fall is our favorite season. The colors are changing, cooler weather, football and of course apple orchards. Ever since our favorite orchard closed several years back we have made plans every Fall to visit a new orchard and enjoy the day together. We had read some good Yelp reviews about another orchard. In this new world of Covid, things are understandable different. We made our reservations a few weeks in advance and were pretty excited to make the trip to this orchard. The night before we were checking our plans and the orchard we planned to visit changed their hours and they were not going to be open this day. Good thing we checked as we did not receive any notice and this orchard was at least an hour away. Some more research we located Brand Farms which was near some other stops that we had planned for our day. Brand Farms is an actual farm. In fact as we drove down Biscayne Ave, we drove past a few farms. When we arrived it felt like we were at someone's house as that is the first thing you see when you arrive. Up the driveway there are a couple of buildings and on the left is their shop. It's a smaller shop but they had lots of goodies in there. There were plenty of apples. There were also farm fresh eggs, apple brats (one of my favorites) maple syrup, salsa, and a few other goodies. There was only one other person there when we arrived. Brand Farms is the closest we have found to our favorite orchard that closed. No doubt this is a family owned farm and known to the locals. Our type of place. read more

First time here and definitely not the last. I saw on Facebook they are featuring their apple slush with vanilla soft serve ice cream and an apple cider donut on top. This was $7 and super good. Not overly sweet either. I literally only wanted to buy 4 apples but was told $9. I did buy 1/4 peck of sweet tango. They encourage you to fill the bag to the top. A lady gave me a first kiss apple. These aren't as sweet. I also bought a dozen brown eggs for $3 and Italian olive salsa for $9. I came alone and didn't partake in hay ride. The 1/4 peck of sweet tango apples was 11 apples for $11.00. I did see a packaged bag of 3 varieties 1/2 peck for $15.00. Some lady had a smaller portion and they just made up a price for her. Received their eggs as part of my CSA through Pahls Market. They were big and rich. They were so good I felt bad adding anything to them. Used them to make omelettes and breakfast sandwiches. Highly recommend. read more

Great customer service at the farm shop. Follow their Facebook page to learn about big events, or to learn the general open barn shop hours. Self-service in off hours. Eggs, meats, and some holiday specialties. You're driving up to a working farm so be respectful of animals about, and where to place your car out of the way of farm equipment. It's a well cared for farm and location that has clear parking and pick up space. Haven't met any angry animals, and the feathered ones seem friendly enough while you pick out your goods. Just make sure a cat doesn't try to hop a ride with you. Don't kiss out in their apple specials. The donuts are the BEST and the apple chips are our winter favorites. read more
