Absolutely love going to auditorium shores during my runs or walks around the lake on the weekends…read moreor whenever. I went here yesterday with my boyfriend and my family and all his friends and had the best freaking time celebrating the Mexico vs South Africa game which is the FIRST game of the World Cup and they held such an awesome celebration!! There was food and drinks and there were so many people but it was perfect because we got there a bit early and waited in line with everyone then brought picnic blankets to spread out and got such a good spot! We stayed there for like 5 hours just drinking eating watching the game it was super super fun! Absolutely recommend coming for future soccer celebrations or just during your weekends for a fun time.

A great spot to have a picnic, meet up with friends, do a workout, etc. Always good people watching too. We have attended so many events here from the Austin Wine and Food Festival to Sips & Sounds, to the MLS soccer party, Turkey Trot, Statesman Cap10k, etc. We are here very often and it is just such a nice area. There is a parking garage at the Palmer Events Center that is usually $12 if you're looking for somewhere close to park for a full day. Otherwise there are small lots and other garages just across the bridge downtown that are convenient. I am not sure if the bathrooms are open. Every time I have tried to use one they are closed and only have porta potties outside.

They said I needed to pay the $25 and then start the membership next time for $50. Not a great policy. I paid $40 a month and was happy with the environment. I must admit on a surface level, this is the best dog park in Austin. Amenities include a completely astroturfed playground, large flatscreen TVs, and fans for each of the guests. Caution, the glamour hides ugly business practices. Come to find out, the women employees get paid less than the male employees. The owner consistently disrespects his employees by yelling at them. I've seen employees cry because of the way he treats them. My experience: Many dog parents throw birthday celebrations for their pet. We're all responsible and we clean up after ourselves. They're peaceful celebrations. I had the decency to ask for permission to throw my dog a birthday party. They told me they were going to charge me a $500 fee even though I wasn't asking for anything beyond permission. I purchased gifts to give out for all attendees. my generosity was met with malice. Mid-celebration the owner texted me a long, unfriendly message telling me to FaceTime them. My membership was then suspended, but I guess they decided to revoke it without communication. They continued to charge me for the membership, even though I no longer had access. They chose to lose my business of over one year, which amounts to almost $500, over a dog's birthday party, generous of all guests. Choose wisely where you spend your dollars. A membership here supports unethical practices.

However, when I arrived, no one was at the front, so I had to check in at the bar. I wonder how that process works for dogs that may not follow all the rules and are already in the park. The concept is quite similar to Yard Bar, right down to the mulch. The bar offers canned beer, wine, cider, sodas, and water. The restrooms are porta-potties, but the one I used was clean. The park features many large trees and plenty of shade. Three Rufferees were present at all times, and I thought the use of walkie-talkies was a nice touch. The front desk informs the Rufferees of the dogs' names, which is quite cute. I do wish the bar provided water for humans; instead, you have to purchase a can of Liquid Death. There was ample parking available. Overall, it was a decent experience, and we plan to return when we have more time to make the drive.

Stretching along Shoal Creek, the park offers a mix of shaded walking and biking trails, open lawns, and beautifully restored natural areas. It is hard to believe when you are in the park that you are in the heart of central Austin. The park is especially family friendly, with a large playground, splash pad, treehouse style observation area, and plenty of seating. While we were at the park a school was hosting a picnic for its students. The northern portion of the park is even more quiet and scenic, with winding trails, limestone bluffs, and creek views. It's a great area for dog walks, leisurely strolls, picnics, workouts, or just relaxing under the trees. The park is well maintained and welcoming to all ages. This park is very special.

Water stations and waste bags are usually stocked, which I appreciate, especially on hot Texas days. It can get a little busy during peak hours, but honestly that just adds to the social vibe if your dog likes other pups. Solid neighborhood dog park--simple, convenient, and reliable. If they can build amazing parks for human kids, why not for ours too?! The park needs grass, trees, shade, more seating and space for dogs to roam comfortably. It just doesn't seem like a spot that's designed with pets in mind, but more of a item on their checklist of spaces to create for the park. Mueller Dog Park has been overrun with the stench of urine and uninvolved parents. Mueller is supposed to be a nice, safe, and more sophisticated spot. But after a few minutes, my three fur kiddos were ready to head home... don't think I'll be coming back anytime soon.

I can see how most times people just drive off.. me being the curious person I am just started walking by myself in the woods on a trail. I fortunately just so happen to see one woman walking her dogs and followed her in that direction but i swear to you she was walking fast as to not give this place away hahah! She actually disappeared onto another trail and couldnt find her.. (like Alice and Wonderland and the white rabbit style).. finally I heard splashing! I looked to my right and saw a weird trail that went down a steep side hill. So I followed the noise.. its pretty steep so be careful! After the brush and trees cleared THERE IT WAS! CLEAR, COOL WATER!! It was shallow when I got there and only about 8 people were there at 1pm during a Saturday. As time goes on it gets deeper and the water rises! Also more people start coming too. It feels sooooo amazing! You can grab a chair and just sit in the middle drinking and cooling off. Dog friendly! I spent a few hours with my boy before heading back. I live for finding places like this!
