Same story as others. Received what looks exactly like an invoice (and no where does it state it is not an invoice), but is actually a completely untransparent attempt to confuse businesses into sending money to this company for services they have not requested. Tried to call - no one picked up - "because of the long wait time, 24 min., we will forward you to a voicemail box." SCAM. Not sure if this company even provides any services, but I would encourage everyone to avoid them and if you are using them now, move your business to a company that doesn't try to gain customers by sending confusing and low integrity advertisements. read more

This is a SCAM. They send a bill , as if you do business with them, I DONT. Some people must pay by mistake. The people at Website Backup should spend some time in jail with a fine, and all money returned to the poor people that paid them. read more

BEWARE!!! FAKE, FAKE, FAKE....We also own a small business in Los Alamitos, CA and received what looked like a legitimate bill for $70 with an account number and all. I called the phone number listed (866) 273-7934. The wait time on hold said 20 minutes and to leave a message. I could not get a live person on the phone no matter what number I selected. I left a very FIRM message that I would be contacting the BBB and my attorney regarding their company trying to scam businesses. This has to be illegal!!!!! read more

The small business I work for recently received a "bill" from these guys for a service we hadn't chosen from a company we had never had any prior contact with. Will report to AZ Attorney General and BBB when I get the chance. They may well provide a legitimate service, but they certainly go about selling it in a very illegitimate way -- posing as a vendor with an existing relationship with your business. Hopefully the Yelp reviews will warn others away. read more

This company send what appears to be an invoice via the US mail. The invoice is for $70USD for back up service for a website. When you try to call the company to inquire further the automated system requires you to put in the 10-digit "account number" that appears on the invoice. Wait times will be extremely long 20+ minutes. Essentially they are searching the WHOIS database to see who will simply pay the $70 and who won't. Pretty much a scam. They protest that they are not a scam company, but if that's the case, why send out the fake $70 invoices? It's an advertisement, and I think by law they're required to state that somewhere on their "invoice", but I can't find it anywhere. It's interesting that all the reviews seem to be one star (pissed off recipients of the advertisement/invoice) or five stars (they all look a little suspect); nothing in between that would indicate legitimate customers. Our accounts payable department asked me about our website hosting and domain providers. I told her the names, and she said she got a bill from this company. From the moment I heard the name, I shook my head. Really? Can you come up with something a bit more legit? Anyhow, I told her to file the bill in the trusty ol' circular file because it was a scam, and they weren't getting $70.00 from us for any alleged service. read more

This company is a scam!!! I just spoke with two people in costumer service who told me what I received was strange to them. They never saw a charge of $70.00. Low and behold all the comments below were charged $70.00. Plus they lied about how they got your information. I checked with my server and they did not authorize anything. Apparently, everyone you talk to is just a customer representative who is working for themselves so they do not know who owns the company...imagine that! They just want companies who are too busy ,to check all invoices, send them a check! CROOKS!! read more

I got a letter too. Thanks to the others who posted. Scum bags these people are that send out these letters. I got one once that claimed my domain was up for renewal. I paid it thinking it was. It wasn't. They sold me a search engine listing that was bull crap. read more

Thank you everyone posting about this scam. My company also received a very legit looking bill. After consulting with our IT, we realized it was a scam, and the posts here in Yelp confirmed that. I'll be contacting the AZ Better Business Bureau and Attorney General's office to report them. read more

Sent a scam bill for $70.00 to me too for my small business. They will not respond to your calls or email if you attempt to question the bill. My webmaster told me not to do anything with it as he had not heard of the company before. read more

Please note this is a scam!! The office posted on the invoice is an hourly rental facility and we NEVER have requested their service whatever that might be. If you check once the payment is made you have only 10 days to cancel so I hope you checked them out before you sent them any money!! read more
