Yet they charge $130 for you to build your schedule for their "orientation". So when you actually start campus as a commuter student you are lost. Then you pay $250 for a parking permit thatvis suppose to allow you to park almost anywhere on campus, only to be blocked because parking fills up fast! So if you have a later morning class, good luck! This is ridiculous. This school needs to do better. They should have PLANNED TO ADD ADDITIONAL PARKING NEAR THEIR CLASSROOMS INSTEAD OF BUILDING the sports stadium/parking garage far away. Very disappointed in this whole situation! After your admission counselor speaks to you and walks you through admissions you are basically on your own. Talking to staff is difficult because of the time zones, and getting a hold of them is quite frustrating. Some professors were good and others weren't. Half of them cared, but the lack of transparency was evident when you needed extra help. The final straw was when tragedy hit me twice losing my grandparents and taking a tough course with a very mean, unsupportive teacher. I ended up failing the class, which was the first time I ever failed a class, and I appealed two times. The first time they gave me approval, but I didn't want to take this class again with this teacher. I took it again and passed with a low C, and I appealed and got suspended from school. Nobody tells you anything until it's too late. The faculty is messy, and the religion aspect I thought the school cared but they are just out for the cash, unfortunately....

Every professor I had during my program worked a full-time job else where. It was nearly impossible to meet with them, and in most instances, meeting with them was useless. The professors provided almost no direction, nor did they actually instruct or teach. An example of this would be my Software App. And Design (ISM -464A) class. The professors told us to research everything because this is how it works in the "real world." There are two problems I have with this line of thought other than the blatant laziness of the professor. First, I am not a programmer, I am trying to learn how to program and code. Second, I am paying the professors to teach me how to program and code. If I wanted to research how to code and learn it on my own, I would have. Instead, I decided to enroll in a college class to learn how to code. Almost all of my professors have been similar in their approach to teaching, telling me to "research it" rather than teaching. With the exception of one professor, none have taught me anything. In my opinion, save your money and go to a school with real educators.

[ 3.5* Review ] I'm…read moregrateful I had the chance to start my academic journey at Pikes Peak State College, where I completed my Associate's Degree. My experience has a mix of positives, meaningful strengths, as well as areas that could be improved and frustrations, which is why I feel a three-plus* star rating reflects it honestly and is fair. *Positive Aspects* Being connected to multiple campuses gave me access to diverse professors, inspiring instructors, and well-designed classes. Even though I studied fully online, I always had access to academic advisors, supportive counselors, and helpful IT support. Whenever I didn't understand something, I could reach out directly to instructors, teachers, operators, or talk things with classmates in group chats, which made the online format feel more connected. Their majors and electives were interesting, and the classes were structured in a way that made learning enjoyable. One tip for future students: don't overload yourself with too many classes at once. Giving yourself space for research, homework, tutoring, and life outside of school makes a huge difference. Another highlight was the support available around graduation time. It was great to have access to career scouts, the ability given to attend career fairs, connect through honor societies, and mix and mingle at graduation-related events across different campuses and arenas with fellow graduates, professionals, and likeminded individuals. *Negative Aspects* My college inbox was constantly hit with random scams and spam (unwanted emails), which meant I had to keep sorting, blocking, and reporting them. Communication wasn't always consistent - some students responded unprofessionally, and some instructors didn't respond as promptly as promised. I also had a few back-and-forth issues with the campus bookstore. On some occasions, certain digital or open educational resources were free of charge! Yejjj! ;) At other times though, I was billed more than expected for required study materials, supplies, and taxes.. ! :/ In one case, I was even billed for books for a class that ended up being cancelled, which was very frustrating.. Thus, the biggest issue for me was the drop policy. Be aware that if you drop a class after just a little more than 10 days, you're charged the full cost of the course. I really wish the school would extend this decision window to three or four weeks, giving students a fair chance to determine whether a class is manageable without being financially locked in so early. Otherwise, your only option later is withdrawing and ending up with a W on your transcript. *Overall* The Northern campus is gorgeous to visit, featuring a top view and ample parking! The staff members and faculty are supportive and welcoming. Despite the challenges, I'm happy I earned my Associate's Degree here. It is wonderful to be able to transfer forward with an accredited credential and continue my education. The journey can look tricky at times, but it (is) doable - and ultimately rewarding!

This place shouldn't even be called a school…read more To start with, I had the worst experience with the Director of Student Affairs Ms. Manislovisch when I was trying to resolve an issue created by CTU. Absolutely nothing can be done to resolve my issue even though though it is due to CTUs incompetence and communication failures. Not to mention staff is unprofessional, uninformed, and untrained. The CTU staff refuse to speak to me. They refuse to communicate. They are only skimming partial notes from their screen. Not one member of staff is willing to have an actual conversation with me, engage with my points, answer my questions, and/or ask me any sort of clarifying questions. They destroyed my change at higher education based off of partial notes, misinformation, and assumptions. The staff is able to be unethical and unprofessional, while the school violates its own policies and procedures. They school acts against the guarantees made in enrollment materials such as the student handbook, and there is no recourse for students at all. This has proven to me, imo, CTU does NOT care about their students beyond the money they can wring out. We, as students, do not matter to CTU at all. We don't even matter as customers. All of the ads, everything said by admissions and in orientation were bold faced lies. I really needed to speak to someone from the grievances and ombudsmans office but no one would ever call me back. I was then completely kicked out of the school because of my complaints against the student affairs leadership. This was indescribably horrible. I don't ish I never went back to school at all.
