Instead, because my work schedule consistently conflicts with my appointment times at Brightview, I am treated like I'm fresh off the street. On one occasion, my employer was in a code yellow (disaster) due to critical staffing levels during a snowstorm! Still being held against me. God forbid you have a death in the family. They will not work with you. The only options that I was given was to drive 2 hours back to Centerville (during the funeral) or run out of medication. If you need to make that first step, please do! There are a lot more options out there today. But research, and always advocate for yourself and your care. You deserve a good life and to be treated with respect. UPDATE! Now, before you see the practitioner, you are required to put all of your things in a locker. (That wasn't even locked) Then go back out into the waiting room and sit until she gets you. I wasn't even allowed to have my phone while waiting. They are increasingly more rigid and I feel like they treat us (as addicts) like we are an inferior group. I'm completely over it. I have booked an appointment elsewhere. (It's easy today) AND, I found one that will do telehealth appointments, if needed. Just because you have a history of addiction, does not mean you deserve to be treated this way.
