If you're looking for bridesmaids dresses, this is the place to go! Katie and Morgan has outstanding service! I came three times to try on dresses and they were so patient with me! With the bride living out of state, it was difficult having to choose styles and colors without her being there in person. Katie and Morgan made sure everything went smoothly and gave us good insights before making final decision. If you live out of state, you can get your dresses shipped to you or if you live in town, the dress gets shipped to their location and they double check to make sure the dress arrives in perfect condition. They do not have a seamstress there but can recommend someone. Their fitting rooms are big and enough space. There is free parking on the side but it's usually filled so best bet would be paid street parking. read more

We waited at least 25 minutes before someone would even get a dress for us...meanwhile, two women chatted in the backroom (which we could hear clearly). Once we were stuffed (and I mean stuffed) into a room we never heard a peep out of anyone for the rest of our visit. No one checked on us...and what's worse, no one said goodbye or acknowledged our departure. The room was barely big enough for two people, much less a slew of large gowns. To top it all off, the mirror in this glorious room was not made for anyone over 5'1...unless they prefer to see themself headless. Before I go, let me get one more thing off my chest. This is a quote from their website: "We welcome walk-ins at any time, but also encourage appointments, especially for Saturdays, to ensure the hospitality that a bride deserves." I guess since they've moved locations, they've hired more attentive and kind workers that what a.w. had to deal with. I regret that I can't afford the dress I found at Wedding Belles, because I had a great experience there. I made an appointment, and came in a day early to sneak a peek at the racks. I was greeted by Ali, who works for The Stationer, which is partnered with W.B. in the same building. "One stop shopping," she called it. I explained what I was doing and she offered to show me around the stationery part of the store. I felt like I was talking to a friend about the ins and outs of wedding stationery, and her cheery, practical attitude was reassuring and inspirational. When I came back for my bridal appointment with my friend Mel, we were beautifully attended to (I can't remember the girl's name). Our clerk waited for each dress to be tried on, and offered pertinent information on each gown, remarking on them as if they were individual pieces of art. We were still trying on gowns- huge, lovely, selection- after the store closed. I was aware of the time and hurrying, but I was never made to feel rushed or inconvenienced. Our clerk politely reminded us that this process sometimes takes awhile. I got a thank you card in the mail from her a week later. W.B. does have some budget-friendly items (designer Jenny Yoo) and the clerks reminded me that their bridesmaid selection could also be ordered in white (options! a gal likes that!) but overall, the dresses were out of my budget range. However, because of the great attention I received, I now know exactly what I'm looking for in a gown, and I'm going to get it from a store that offers the same standard of service as Wedding Belles. read more

I had a great experience at the Wedding Belles sample sale! Since I live nearby, I called a couple months back to make a non-sample sale appt. They let me know then that their prices start at $2k (good to know!) and suggested I follow them on Instagram @weddingbellesnola for sample sale announcements. Done! This sale lasted for three days. I wanted to make sure that they still had all the dresses I was interested in so I booked the earliest appointment they offered on the first day. Looking back, I don't think this is necessary but wouldn't hurt to do. My budget was $1k and there were at least 30 dresses at that price and below. I was pleasantly surprised at the wide selection of styles. They listed all of their available dresses with price and designer on their Pinterest, which was super helpful! I just showed my consultant, Olivia, the dresses I had in mind and she helped pull them all, including some similar looks. Olivia was the BEST, clipping up the back of each dress and gently offering opinions without being pushy. I ended up buying a rad dress in like new condition. Know that samples aren't all in the best condition and might need some cleaning or sewing. It could totally be worth it for the deeeep discount you're already getting! My appt went over by 30 minutes and it wasn't a big deal. Nobody seemed to care. There was no pressure to get the dress altered there either. They even offered to hold onto the dress for me. I giddily walked out of there with my dress! Highly recommend this shop! read more

I wanted to love this place. It is so beautiful from the outside. My bridesmaid tried to request an online appointment, with no response. We called later and made an appointment--- we were the only ones in the store, with 2 associates. Both did not move from their chairs and instructed my friends and I to look around and pull what we liked. When asked if they had any suggestions, and showed a few pictures of the style I was interested in, I was told no, just pick out what you want. No one helped me in the dressing room, I had to exit with the dresses unzipped while my friends zipped me up before the associate came to assist with the clipping. I liked a dress on the mannequin and was told that there was a similar dress on the floor (but with different lace), and to try that one instead. I'm sorry, but it's my wedding dress, and I am not shopping the racks of JC Penny. Stand up, help make selections when I ask for your input, and take a dress off of the mannequin if it's the only one in the showroom and I want to try it on. I actually liked some of the dresses there more than others in different stores- but the customer service was so lackluster that I would not consider purchasing from this business. Only reason for the second star is that there were some pretty dresses in the shop. I'd just never spend money there because of the poor attitudes of the employees. read more

I think the merit of a business is apparent in the way they sell their stock. I thought the bridal business would be like car sales but with lace and satin. To be honest, I've had some great experience, and one in particular that I'd love to highlight is my experiences with Wedding Belles. Wedding Belles was my first stop on the wedding dress hunt, and while there were some serious contenders (and still ones I dream about) I kept looking and ended up finding the "one" in Houston. During my experience at Wedding Belles, Katie was so incredibly laid back and sweet, offering suggestions and assistance when needed, and made sure to let me know about any sample sales with some of the dresses that I had tried on. She also followed up with a lovely hand-written note. I will also say a few years ago I was on the bridesmaid side for my friend's wedding and found them to be very much on top of their communications then. I thought I had maybe found my bridesmaids' dress in Houston, but wasn't totally sold so I popped into Wedding Belles again. While I would 100% suggest making appointments, they were nice enough to accommodate me and let me try on a few options for my bridesmaids and snap photos for me. They also showed me various materials and color options, as well as informed me of an upcoming trunk show that would help to lighten the price for my gals. I ended up going with a skirt/shirt option. I wanted to give my ladies a third shirt option with another shop, and at no point did Katie give me a hard time about this, and has been in contact with my bridesmaids to make sure they're all on task for ordering. Besides the wonderful customer service, I think the store itself is very lovely occasionally changing up their super cute window displays. They also have various sparkly accessories that I may need to visit a third time to check out, because third time is a charm, right? I went here in an attempt to find my dress and was pretty disappointed. The store itself is beautiful and spacious, and they did have a lot of pretty accessories. But their dress selection was very limited and most were very plain. We only found three dresses in my budget (under $3k) worth trying on, compared to Bliss and MaeMe's, where we had too many options! The service was also below expectations. They did not seem excited to see us and my stylist did not pick out any dresses for me! I felt like I was interrupting her. She did warm up a little by the end of the appointment, but it was hard to get over that initial impression. I came to wedding belles in search of bridesmaids dresses. Maria waited on me and my gals and she was a doll! I had been dreading making a decision on bridesmaid dresses. I visited a couple other bridal saloons before coming to wedding belles. Their service was by far superior to any other salon in the greater New Orleans area. I wanted to give my girls the option of choosing their own dresses in the same color/material. Maria pointed us towards the Amsale line. Success! The girls loved the dresses and everyone is happy. Wedding Belles has a pretty large selection of bridesmaid dresses and Maria listened to what we wanted and was very attentive. She had a great attitude and was super pleasant to work with. The dresses here are very "designer." At so many other saloons the BM dresses look like prom dresses or cheesy and stereotypical. If you are in search of a fun dress your girls are sure to love and wear again Wedding Belles is your place! Ask for Maria to wait on you. She was really incredible. I loved working with Wedding Belles every step of the way. I purchased an Amy Kuschel dress during their sample sale in the spring, had all of my alterations done there, bought my petticoat and my veil there, and also my wedding jewelry. I made an appointment to view dresses for the sample sale, and they gave me a 90 minute appointment (although I only ended up needing 30 minutes of it). From there, I made appointments directly with their seamstress, and felt very personally taken care of, as the store was never crowded, and they were very prepared for my arrival. - Their customer service is excellent. The staff are friendly, patient, and very professional. - Vinnie, their seamstress, was an absolute pleasure to work with and she did a superb job changing my size 10 sample dress into a dress that felt made for me. She was even prepared to re-hem the lace until we realized it would work fine with a petticoat underneath and some high heels. - Their dress selection is remarkable. Although the store is small, there are so many dresses with just the right combination of youthful and classy. They are very fresh and very romantic. - The sample sale also had a great selection! I think I lucked out in particular though because I fell in love with the third dress I tried on. - Their wedding jewelry and accessories, although probably less variety than the big name places, are beautiful and again very romantic. I spent days and days searching for the right wedding earrings on Royal St., fine jewelers, and Saks Fifth Avenue, but ended up snagging a pair I saw and loved at Wedding Belles at one of my fittings. - The atmosphere is spotless. I had called ahead and let them know my budget when I made the appointment and I felt like they were respectful of my price point. They showed me dresses within my range and I felt no pressure to go up in price. Morgan was my bridal consultant and she was extremely helpful and down to earth. We visited Wedding Belles this past Saturday while looking for a wedding gown for my partner's sister. This was one of three places where she had made an appointment to try on gowns, and it was easily the worst one of the three. When we walked in, the shopgirl introduced herself, but she acted as if she did not want to help us. She was very downcast in her mood, and did not move any of the wedding gowns to the dressing room until we pointedly asked her too. May I also point out that she was attending to no one else, and we were the only party in the store. Were we supposed to move the gowns ourselves? Additionally, the dresses themselves look quite manhandled. The bottom of nearly all the gowns were black from brushing the floor too often, and two of the gowns had tears in the gathering of the skirt. The dresses are arranged on racks according to price. The rack that held dresses $5,000 and up were not impressive. One would think that the interior construction of the gown would be superb at that price, with inner corseting and/or boning, but we did not find that to be true. Some of the most expensive dresses were only a few layers of thin feeling fabric! We all felt that we could not, in good conscience, recommend this store to anyone seeking a fun attentive shopping experience, quality dress, or reasonable pricing. Yikes. read more

Let me start off by saying that while I did not end up getting my dress from here, (my dad ending up falling in love with a dress from somewhere else) the service I received at Wedding Belles was unparalleled. Scarlett is amazing. She had done her homework on my venue and worked so hard to match the kind of dress I was envisioning, she was super mindful of my budget (I loved that the dresses were separated by price range, that's brilliant) and I never once felt pressured to make a decision RIGHT THEN. I have been meaning to write this review for awhile. I got my bridesmaid's (MOH) dress here for my sister's wedding in October and the staff was super helpful and attentive. When the dress came in though, I thought I had ordered the wrong color and was so distraught! The staff did everything they could including sending me emails and checking with the designer to see if I could switch the dress out. They were very helpful and super sweet about everything even though I was, admittedly, kind of rude about the whole ordeal because of my stress level pre wedding. I like Wedding Belles for an odd reason. I set up an appointment to try on dresses there, and had a lovely time. Their dresses are gorgeous, and my attendant pulled some things for me that I never would have chosen, but actually really liked. After talking with me about my fiance, my personal style, and my plans for the wedding, my attendant actually recommended to me that I NOT buy an expensive dress there. She judged, correctly, that it wouldn't make a big difference to me to have on a $2,000 dress. I really appreciated her honesty and lack of pushiness, both of which are rare when wedding planning. Also, this is the only store that didn't do a double-take when I shared I was engaged to another woman. I took her advice and bought a $300 dress somewhere else, but I always drop by there to buy trinkets and cards because I appreciate the great experience I had. read more

NOT for ordering dresses through, brides or bridesmaids. The owner is rude and spiteful, and PRETENDS the company has a refund policy which she will then not uphold. Please don't let your maids be stuck in the same situation, order dresses through a reputable company that will let you change a size or offer a partial refund in case one of your friends has to change sizes. If you order here, you're out for 100% of the cost of the dress no matter why, even when you cancel two weeks after the order is placed and five months later it still hasn't come in. Avoid at all costs! Go somewhere with pleasant service and understanding staff. read more

Although this shop is nicely done, the experience is not pleasant. I was a bridesmaid and the bride chose a dress from this store. The staff seems to not want to assist you, and the prices are double of other shops. To top it all off, they do not offer alterations for bridesmaids!!! For me, planning a wedding was not the magical thing other people describe: I'm not a natural planner, and I didn't have family or close friends nearby. To top things off, my dad was ill, so my mom did a lot of her planning from the hospital waiting room. Enter Wedding Belles. They were so patient and nice. They listened and made suggestions but were never overbearing or pushy. I felt like they were transparent about pricing (and about the designer etc of the dress), and they didn't try to "stretch" the budget. Even though I tied up their dressing room for a LONG time, I didn't find my dress, so I ended up going all over town. Weeks later, I went back to Wedding Belles because of that combination of great inventory and honest staff. They brought out a sample dress, which was enormous but perfect for my wedding. The absolute best part of Wedding Belles is their seamstress, Vinnie Summers. She's amazing! I never have known anyone as skillful and, at age 68, I've had my share of bad and intermediate alterations. Plus, she listens and explains, in details, everything. It doesn't matter how lovely the dress, if it doesn't fit right, it won't look right. It's that simple. If you're not sure of your shoes or jewelry or the correct undergarments, ask her. Wow the service here is fantastic! My fiancé and I decided to have a quick ceremony in the French Quarter and I only had 4 weeks to find a dress. On a whim, I walked into Wedding Belles without an appointment and a consultant, Amy, immediately helped me out. She was super busy with another bridal party but that didn't stop her from taking the time to say hello and point me to their in stock sample dresses. She gave me advice on what type of dress to wear, put me in a fitting room, and helped me into all of my dresses, all without feeling rushed or given a sales pitch. Even when I said I wanted to go to other stores to look at more dresses, she said no problem with a sincere smile, and said "the dress will be waiting for you if decide by the end of the day." On top of all this service, she gave great recommendations for a florist, hair and makeup, and a seamstress. I'm new to the area so this is a real help. So long story short, I left Wedding Belles and as I pulled into the other store's driveway, I thought "What am I doing?? That dress I tried on looked fantastic, the service was amazing, and the price was to die for!" So I immediately turned around, and got the dress, paying pennies on the dollar. I highly recommend Wedding Belles for excellent service, especially Amy, with no pushy sales pitch, and their sample sale dresses look fantastic with a great price tag... think way below $1,000. This place is awesome. Sadly, I did not get my wedding dress here (only Town and Country had the one I wanted, which I would personally not recommend) but I did go with one of my best friends for a fantastic girly day of bridesmaid dress shopping! We literally must have picked out about 25 dresses to try on and our consultant, Olivia didn't bat an eye, she just smiled and was happy we found so many good ones. She even gave us some recommendations when we started out. I was "modeling" the dresses for the bride and Olivia was so attentive and clipped and unclipped me in to every single dress. It took forever and yet she was so pleasant and didn't leave our side once. She even got the idea of what type of style the bride wanted and was excellent with showing us color swatches/materials. We had made an appointment with no problem on Tuesday for that upcoming Saturday and we were the only ones in the store trying on dresses. They even had little cakes to snack on! We were probably in there for 1.5 hours honestly and did not even end up purchasing the dresses, but Olivia was terrific in writing down all the info for us for the future. This was genuinely such a pleasant experience and when I went looking for bridal gowns I went to so many stores in a few different states (including say yes to the dress atlanta) and would definitely say I had the best customer service here - and I wasn't even the bride! I ordered my gown and the dresses for my bridesmaids and I couldn't have asked for a more seamless experience.
