I wish I could give Julia 10 stars. I can't thank her enough for bearing with me and keeping me sane through our wedding planning process. We booked her about 18 months in advance and I spent 9 of those 18 months stressing about all of the details that it was too early to even make decisions about. I really wish I had saved myself the stress and brain power because as soon as Julia got started everything was done in two shakes. I must confess that I am a procrastinator, and that characteristic became even more pronounced during wedding planning. I didn't want a wedding because I knew all the stress that goes into the planning process, but I went with the wants of my husband and parents and agreed to throw it together. Julia gently kept me on task and set me up on her wonderful planning tool that made all aspects of planning accessible and organized. I think one of her greatest talents was figuring out what our needs/wants were and narrowing the plethora of options down to 3 or 4 that fit our budget and vision. It was so helpful for a bride-to-be that is somewhat easily overwhelmed. She also took on the task of going through all the boring paperwork and giving me only what explicitly only I could deal with. Her professional network is well curated and she is very good at keeping it fresh. She doesn't work with just anyone. Our wedding day was so extremely imperfect. So many things that were not in our control went wrong. I was so stressed and up to the point where I walked into the venue I was even regretting going through with it. But when I walked into the venue and saw Julia there, bringing my dream vision into life, all of the stress melted away. I knew that with Julia there, everything was going to go as planned. If you think about the effort, time, and money that goes into wedding planning, a Wedding Planner is incredibly valuable because of the expertise, advice, and connections they bring to the table. Deciding to work with Julia was hands down the best decision I made during the entire wedding process. My now husband and I moved across the country away from all of our family to Seattle last year and were engaged shortly after. My husband and I got married on Labor Day (Sept. 7) 2015 Julia was absolutely AMAZING! We could not have asked for a more flexible, professional and just a overall nice person to plan our wedding. My now husband and I were studying abroad for our masters program for a year, so it was practically impossible to plan a wedding from abroad for here in the states. We decided to hire Julia, and it was the best decision we made during our wedding planning! Not only was her price for her services reasonable, but she was amazingly flexible with our situation. She was prompt in her emails (same day, if not within a few hours), she answered ALL of my questions, even when it wasn't in her contract to handle some of the items, and she was very organized with everything! Being abroad and planning this wedding would have been so tough, but with Julia, we felt like there was no stress and we could finish our studies with ease. We came home three weeks before the wedding, and besides the things that we needed to complete (DIY projects and paying everyone), everything was done, three weeks early!! We had all of our vendors, everything was selected (besides a few minor things we needed to complete in person), and there was no added stress. When we met Julia for the first time (after working with her for 9 months already), she had everything organized for the meeting to run smoothly, but was not in a rush to leave or didn't mind the conversation steering elsewhere. In other words, she was extremely friendly! On the day of the wedding, she was on time and handled everything wonderfully. My husband and I got married on Friday, August 28th, 2015! When we started the wedding planning process, we hadn't looked into a wedding planner. We felt we could take care of everything ourselves. I say this with 100% sincerity - my wedding would not have been the absolute perfect day that it was if not for Julia! There was not one moment on the day of my wedding that I stressed or even thought of vendors or schedules and that was all due to Julia's superb planning and attention to detail. I booked Julia about a year out from our wedding but because we only required her day-of coordination services, I was concerned that we might not hear much from her until a month or so before the wedding (having heard stories of other couples' experiences with day-of coordinators). Nothing could have been further than the truth! Julia was so friendly, pleasant and professional and went above and beyond in our initial consultation to make us feel special. I was able to reach out to her at any time with questions and she would respond promptly with great, detailed answers. I truly felt safe asking her any and all questions, be they stylistically-related or process-related. Julia also blew us away with regards to our overall look and feel for our big day. Because I am a bit type-A (ok A LOT type-A), I had already figured out most of what I wanted with regards to look/feel and vendor team by the time we first spoke with Julia. But rather than try to impose her own style, she fully embraced our ideas, theme, and vendor choices. She really shared in the vision we had for our day and ran with it, day-of. What impressed me most, however, was how flawlessly the wedding day was executed. Julia was faced with quite a challenge, due to the very limited time frame she had to decorate and set up our venue before our guests arrived. We had A LOT of décor as I DIY'ed a good majority of our wedding, but rather than make us pay more money for extra venue access time, Julia ensured us that she would have everything put together and decorated in the initial time frame we had proposed. From stringing hundreds of feet of bunting to setting up and decorating a gorgeous ceremony altar, Julia did it all and with such poise and professionalism. Julia was the day of coordinator for my wedding this October. I was planning my wedding from across the country, and interviewed a few potential coordinators via phone. Julia stood out right away as super sweet and professional, and I knew from our first conversation that she was our coordinator. Julia is incredibly organized, which is exactly what you want as a bride planning from afar! We were able to meet up about a month before the wedding. At that meeting she already had my timeline put together and had thought of questions and details that in all my months of planning I hadn't thought of (which coming from a Type A bride means something!). One thing that stood out to me was that even though she'd just be coordinating the day of our wedding, she let me know that she'd be involved much earlier. She was always available to answer emails and questions. For example, not being from Seattle I had no idea where to suggest friends go for drinks and dinner. Julia came up with a long list of her favorite places which turned out to be great recommendations. Julia also said she would handle communications with my vendors a week out from the wedding so that I didn't have to be stressed. That last point was huge. I was able to let go and relax with my friends and family knowing my wedding was in safe hands. When I arrived at the wedding, I saw my vision come to life.
