From wonderful references to all of our vendors, to fun creative ideas that I never would have thought of, Stephanie and Dana were on top of it all. I was extremely happy with the service that I got, and although I'm sure they were planning tons of other weddings simultaneously, they always made me feel as though I was their top priority. They were willing to take on as much or as little as I wanted them to (I erred towards the former), but I always felt that I was in control of all details and decisions. The price is certainly a bit more than many other event planners in town, but as far as I'm concerned, it was worth every penny. In addition to the fantastic service we got for the price, we received tons of discounts on various vendors and services because of Stephanie's relationships with seemingly everyone in the business. My friends and I are at the age where we've all been to tons of weddings, and I got so many comments that ours was among the most fun, creative, and beautiful they'd been to. I don't think the person we talked to understood where we were in our process and wasted my time with questions that didn't apply to what we were looking for. I also told her about some ethnic traditions I wanted to incorporate into my event. She then started talking about ethnic traditions that had nothing to do with my ethnicity. The cherry on top was her blatant racism. During our discussion she mentioned something along the lines of "Chinese, Japanese, or Whatever you are." If you're looking for someone who is sensitive to ethnic traditions, skip this place as I don't feel they have a clue.

Stacy does everything to make your day perfect…read more We had hired her for day of coordination of our wedding, which involved separate locations for a double ceremony, 2 cocktail receptions and a dinner reception--definitely not your typical. In the beginning, I did have some reservations about Stacy due to lack of communication, but when it came to our wedding day, Stacy went above and beyond to make everything run smoothly and with ease and professionalism. Even when I did needlessly worry, I didn't have to because Stacy had everything organized and under control. During the planning process, Stacy provided us vendor recommendations and gave us helpful insight on process. She helped create the floor plan and schedule for the day's event and made sure all my vendor contracts were secure and that they had what they needed. She even caught missing napkins from our catering rental order-- which would have been a complete nightmare! When we didn't have a secure place to store our decorations or beverages overnight, Stacy took care of it all and made sure everything was where it was needed for our wedding day. She also took care of setting up all of the decorations-- so that when we arrived at the reception, everything was amazing. In the year leading up to our wedding day, Cassie provided a high quality of services including periodic check-ins and to-do lists to help us stay on track, multiple venue walkthroughs, logistical communication with vendors, and leading our rehearsal. Throughout this period, Cassie brought to our attention many tiny details that could have spiraled into a bigger problem if there was no one to point it out to us -- including making sure tables were an adequate size, how various elements would need to move across the space during a room transition to avoid problems or delays, and various aspects of cleanup and takedown we hadn't accounted for -- and suggested helpful solutions. By our wedding day itself, Cassie had made sure every vendor knew exactly when and where they were needed. This meant that absolutely no one came to me or my wife with questions or problems. Even when the zipper of my dress ripped completely open and I thought everything was going to be a disaster, Cassie and her assistant were able to keep me calm and collected while we waited for the necessary help to arrive. If this hangup affected the schedule of the day, or if our vendors faced any other issues throughout the event, my wife and I were kept blissfully unaware. I highly recommend hiring Kirstie of Simply Wed!…read more Kirstie was the "day of" coordinator for my wedding at the Golden Gardens Bathhouse in July 2012. She went above and beyond the "day of" role and was the best money we spent on our wedding. We communicated frequently the months leading up to the wedding, she ran our ceremony rehearsal the night before, and she worked a 15+ hour day the day of the wedding making sure everything was just how I envisioned it. She also provided a wedding day timeline and contacted vendors for me, among many other tasks I don't have room to list here. I was a type-A (read, anal) bride with a very clear vision and a tiny budget by Seattle standards ($15,000). Kirstie was extremely professional, prompt, and easy to work with before the wedding and during. Although she was planning many weddings at one time, she made me feel like mine was the only one. I picked out several of my vendors myself becuase I knew exactly what I wanted, but Kirstie gave suggestions for the ones I didn't have, and they were all amazing! She has great connections. The set-up for my wedding was tough. There is nothing at Golden Gardens so everything had to be brought in and set up the day of (and taken down and cleaned, which Kirstie did). I also had a lot of DIY details that I wanted arranged a very specific way. Kirstie and her crew worked a crazy, long day arranging flowers, setting up tables, hanging decor, getting everyone in order, etc. Your wedding day is such a blur that you need to spend time enjoying your guests, your new spouse, and just enjoying the moment. You don't want to worry about decor, music, food, etc. You will not be disappointed with Kirstie - she can do as much or as little as you want and need depending on your budget and vision.
