The director and the teachers truly love their job. Prior to Covid, I was able to come into the center and nurse my baby. I saw firsthand how well the infant teachers handled their kids. They were all held and attended to as if they were their own. We now have two kids in this center. Their Covid precautions are strict, but we feel safe and clean here. My toddler son is learning so much at the discovery preschool level, much more than I would have been able to expose him to. It truly is like a play based school before school. Only cons are high teacher turnover, but this is common in other daycares from what I hear.

I witness on 3 different occasions a less than ideal tone used with my toddler. I also witness him being off on his own on one occasion very sad. I asked him what was wrong and he said he felt alone because the kid had taken a toy from him. Meanwhile the teacher was on his cell phone (Seen a lot of that when picking up my toddler). At 1st I didn't say anything as I am overprotective of my child, but his other parent went to stop by mid day with some lunch and over heard the teacher using that same tone. Immediately we had a group meeting and the teacher apologized and stated that she was a bit stressed due to a behavioral health child acting out in class, and she took it out on my toddler and the other children, I am still wondering what that had to do with my child?!?? Or why this teacher wasn't given some assistance. I also asked how many times does this happen, as the director continued to use the behavioral child as an excuse to the behavior of the staff. My child was removed immediately. Nothing is worth my child's well being. These teachers and directors need to meet these children where they are. If they are in need or talking you should bend down to their eye level to console them or understand them so you can assist them with care. My son said he was scared to go into the school on his 2nd day. I assumed he was hesitant with a new place and would adjust. I was wrong!!!!! I feel like I also failed my choke because if I had listens to him after day 1, I should have save him the exposure of mental, emotional and verbal abuse!!! i beg any parent that loves their child not to drop them off at Scott swamp RX in Farmington ct.

Watching their growth over the past few years has been truly incredible, particularly under their current teachers Ms. Lia and Ms. Kiara. They have absolutely flourished in this setting and genuinely love going every single day. All of the teachers are exceptionally strong, skilled, and caring. Not only in terms of learning, but the love my girls receive from every single teacher is nothing short of fantastic. They are deeply invested in each child's development and well-being. The skill building that happens here is impressive, with a wide range of creative, engaging, and developmentally appropriate activities that keep the children excited and wanting to participate. My girls come home daily with another project that they created at school and the sense of pride on their face is amazing. Over the past year especially, we have seen many positive changes that have made an already great program even better. Communication, organization, and programming have all improved drastically with the director, Ms. Allison. Check-in and drop-off are seamless and stress-free on the school's end, which makes a huge difference for us. My girls take forever to leave because they need to make sure they say goodbye to all the teachers and Ms. Allison. The car ride home is a flurry of stories about what they learned and how great their day was. Even the school itself is impeccably clean and well maintained, which gives us so much peace of mind. Above all, it's clear how much the staff truly care about each and every child that enters through their front door. We feel incredibly grateful to have found a place where our daughters are safe, happy, challenged, and so well loved. The overall environment lacked professionalism and respect. Several staff members were disrespectful when communicating with both parents and children, which is unacceptable in a place that is supposed to support young kids. It often felt like concerns were brushed off rather than taken seriously. One of the biggest issues was the lack of supervision. Teachers were frequently on their phones instead of actively watching the children. In a daycare setting, supervision should always be the top priority, and it was alarming to see how often this seemed to be ignored. Unfortunately, the leadership from the director did not improve these issues. A daycare director should model professionalism and ensure a safe and respectful environment, but that did not seem to be happening. Some of the concerns included: * Allowing teachers to be on their phones while supervising children * Failing to ensure proper supervision in classrooms * Not addressing staff behavior when it is unprofessional or disrespectful * Dismissing or minimizing parent concerns instead of investigating them * Poor communication with families * Lack of accountability for staff actions * Creating an environment where staff do not appear to be held to high standards A daycare director should be actively ensuring that children are safe, staff are attentive, and parents feel comfortable raising concerns. Unfortunately, that was not our experience here. Parents trust childcare centers with the most important thing in their lives, their children. Professionalism, supervision, and respectful communication should be the bare minimum, and sadly those expectations were not met in our experience.

We've watched our son blossom under their care, supervision and gentle direction. Art, play, music, special guests and performers - every day is a new learning adventure that our son excitedly talks about when we pick him up from school. Other pluses = There is a full kitchen and the kids and teachers often prepare food together, the playground is fully contained but in a relaxed, wooded environment, the school is right off of the bike trail, close to the Canton library and downtown Collinsville, and Mrs. Doran (one of the teachers) is a gifted puppeteer. She won our hearts immediately, along with the other wonderful faculty, who are highly educated and LOVE working with this age group (3s and 4s). The open house happens twice a year, but you can always call to schedule a visit. Their summer camp is great, too! We truly will be sad to say goodbye when our son graduates from the 4s program at Trinity Nursery School.

Then I realized she was sleeping a lot more and upon questioning of the staff, they gave my infant NIGHT TIME teething tablets which really upset me. The final straw for me was when they left my daughter to cry for 20 minutes claiming she's "spoiled" where another parent had to come inform me of the neglect. I had to not only remove my child but also contact OEC. Go on the 211 website you'll see the report. They had staff who were inexperienced with childcare handling my child along with having small babies with older toddlers. I just did not feel as if my child was safe and that's why I removed her. She's at a much more safer daycare with cameras.
