I contracted with Weedman for the 2024 summer. In the fall when I received an invoice for the 2025 summer I decided not to pay since I knew I would be moving in the spring. On March 31 they fertilized my lawn and billed my charge card $70.25. I called and told them that I had not contracted with them for that summer and she told me that because I had been a customer the previous year they assumed I wanted them to do it again this year and that they would not refund my money. Since it was on my charge card already, I just let it go and learned a lesson. Now it is September, I have moved out of Michigan and I am receiving bills for the March 31 fertilizing even though they already billed my charge card. I do not recommend this company to anyone. Do not use this service. They killed my lawn the 1st day they touched it. They came back and made it worse. They laugh at you and tell you to file with the Better Business Bureau. The Attorney General etc. I did. I've also contacted an attorney who is in the process of filing a demand letter. I've gone door-to-door in my neighborhood. And I've reported these people on every mode of social media. They are also Bible fumpers, collecting money for their religion. I don't see a man of God with thirst in ministries. Robbing the public, killing their lawn and charging them to repair it. Lying to customers telling them that they're taking soil samples and sending them to Michigan. State and then telling you that you have a mold in your heard. I have 3 video cameras not once. Did they take said soil sample? But then David Thurston called me back. Apologized for lying about the soil sample and wanted my permission to take yet another soil sample. These people are liars and thieves. Stay away from them. They have the location and Flint Lansing and halt. They keep changing their websites and addresses to avoid this. This company is beyond terrible. If they give you a quote they won't honor it they will just come out and do it then try and charge you double and then play off like they never quoted you that amount. They also won't show up to look at a property they will just show up do it when you're not there and then bill you. If this company "Weed Man" ever wants to do any type of service for you DO NOT DO IT!. I've tried canceling in 2019 and they still showed up and did a service then sent a bill. I am willing to pay the bill but I'd like to cancel the service. They will not call me back so I can't even pay the bill let alone cancel. They use very predetory sales techniques saying they are only sending you information but they just show up and provide the service assuming as long as you didn't call them back to say no, you've committed to the service. read more

Buyer Beware! After using Weed Man for a few years, last year we switched to another service because it also provided tree service (spraying), which we needed. Nevertheless, once the grass began to grow, without any contact from, or contract with, us, Weed Man showed up and fertilized our lawn. When we refused to pay, they argued that someone from our house had called and requested their service a few months earlier. As neither of us could remember for sure if we had forgotten that we'd made the switch to the other company and accidentally rescheduled them, we paid their fee but made it clear we no longer wanted their service. But this year, they again showed up and sprayed without a call or a contract and billed us. When I complained, they said they assumed we wanted their service because we had before. We told them, we hadn't used their service last year and wouldn't play for their unasked for fertilization. A few weeks later, they called and again asked for payment, but I again refused. Then they tried to talk me into paying half the bill, saying they record all their calls and that someone from our number had called and requested service, and that they would call us back with more specific information. No call back to date. My overall impression of Weed Man is they are more interested in collecting money than in being an honest business. As for the safety of the products they use, I am unsure. However, another person who posted a complaint about Weed Man about billing problems said she had requested info about the chemicals used, but Weed Man wouldn't respond. Just got off the phone with Gabe, threatening to turn me over to collections for work they never did. I originally contacted them about services and they quoted me a price. A week or two later, I called, left them a message that I wanted to talk more about my needs and to call me. They sent a tech the next day (never called back), but I didn't have him do anything as we were just over-seeding ourselves and doing some other things (that's why I wanted to talk to someone before any work was done). A week later (still never a call) I receive a confirmation (contract) email with the services and the prices, but they are higher than what we discussed. Within 30 minutes, I respond that this is different than what was discussed. I never got an email response or a call back until a collection call from them. So Gabe finally reaches me, I explain that services were never performed. He insists that his records show otherwise and says he'll take me to collections. I push for more details and he does find notes about not doing the service, next he tries do find the paperwork from the tech that is usually left with the customer. He can't find the finished service records. He finally tells me he will "write it off". You write off a bad debt when a client does not pay. You remove the charges and correct the billing when the service was not performed. I am so fuming mad at the disrespectful, unprofessional, threatening, actions of Gabe that I had to share my thoughts. Honestly, I hate taking the time or the energy to post a bad review unless someone goes out of their way to be unprofessional or really does a bad job. I wasn't unhappy enough with them before the call to post a negative review. I realize some things aren't meant to be and just let it go. I had my lawn treated for probably 15 years before switching to Weed Man. 3 years ago I finally made the switch and I have never been happier. They have great customer service. I always get a phone call before they come out, they never show up unannounced. My technician is very knowledgeable and friendly, and he always has great tips to help me win the neighborhood lawn wars. My lawn has never looked so thick, so green, and so weed free. My neighbors use TruGreen and there is an obvious difference in the color and thickness consistency between their lawn and mine. I have been screwed by these people for work they have yet to finish. They never informed me when they were going out, so I would have gate open to finish with the back yard. Not technically a customer, yet. My son received a cold call from them and asked them to send him a quote since they called him on his work phone during working hours. Well they sent a quote to my house under the name of a previous owner of my house from many years back! My son called them because i had some questions about what kind of chemicals they would be putting on my lawn. The wouldn't answer the question. We did not commit to the quote but someone came out, spread the fertilizer over everything and left the bill on our front door. My son called them back to let them know they had the wrong customer name and we never ok'd them to spread their chemicals and reminded them that I needed to know what was in the fertilizer and weed killer. They said they would send someone out the next day to talk to me but they never did. Don't think i will become their customer! read more

Their phone people call relentlessly, Finally answer the phone and listen to their pitch. Highest price I've been quoted!!! Then guy then offers to lower the price but he'd have to get it approved. I told him at this time I'm still not interested. At this point I get an "Alright Bye" and then hung up on. Lets just say if I do get a lawn service it won't be with these people. read more
