1 Star - "Lifetime Warranty" With a 48-Hour Memory Limit…read more Do not be fooled by the words lifetime warranty at CT Auto Sales--because apparently that lifetime only lasts as long as the owner remembers your face. I was flat-out told that if I had bought the part two days ago and she personally remembered me, the warranty would have been honored without a receipt. Let that sink in. But because more time had passed--even though I provided a time-stamped photo proving the purchase--suddenly the warranty no longer applied. So the rule isn't documentation, proof, or good faith. The rule is her memory and her mood. When I asked to speak to someone higher up to resolve the issue like adults, I was told she was the owner. No escalation. No accountability. No interest in finding common ground. Just arrogance and a take-it-or-leave-it attitude. They admit they don't keep a purchase database. They refuse reasonable proof. They show zero empathy. And they hide behind technicalities that conveniently shift whenever it benefits them. A small-town business should value trust and reputation. This one values control and excuses. If you expect professionalism, consistency, or a warranty that actually means something--never go here.

I then received a charge of $280 for 26 gallons of fuel. They said my truck wasn't left on full. So I made a few calls and after a day the charges were reversed. They said I had a faulty fuel Gauge and when they opened the tank it was full! The fuel Gauge was NOT faulty. It was on F at drop off. Also why did they put on my charge that they put 26 gallons of fuel in when they obviously didn't do anything with the truck? I'm not wondering if there some how keeping that fuel money they're screwing people out of!

We called at about 7:45 Monday morning and Kevin, the owner, was able to take our truck in right away. Our Ford diesel had a coolant leak, and after diagnosing the problem he carefully inspected the rest of the engine and discovered two additional hoses that were also failing. He ordered the correct parts from the Ford dealership and the staff at Elite Auto & Fleet took care of the parts installation. What really stood out was the customer service. Kevin personally drove us back to the KOA RV Park after we dropped the truck off, and then picked us up when the repair was finished. That kind of service is rare these days. Kevin is extremely knowledgeable about diesel engines, very personable, and clearly has his customers' best interests at heart. The price was very reasonable for diesel repair, and the work was completed quickly--we dropped the truck off Monday morning and were back on the road by about 10:00 AM Tuesday.
