Paul Ward is a class act and runs a very professional high quality shop at Wehrli Furniture. They did an amazing job reupholstering my sofa, love seat and throw pillows. My project was far more challenging than expected because I had acquired special floral fabric from a Laura Ashley archive collection. Wehrli spent a lot of extra time taking a high professional approach to ensure that the floral pattern would flow continuously across the seat cushions, back cushions, and all around the front, sides and backs. Other vendors might have cut corners and blown off the pattern continuity, especially on the back sides, to limit the amount of time. I wouldn't be surprised if Wehrli didn't make any profit on my job and I offered to pay extra if they actually lost money. Paul appreciated the offer but said he doesn't like to do business that way. I took my antique furniture pieces to Wehrli in 2019 to refinish them. A few of the pieces needed wood repair. They did a great job in the finishing of all the pieces. I was very happy with the finished product. The reason I'm writing this review 3 years later is because we had a spill on one of the tables that was refinished, and it took off the finish. It looked terrible. I called Paul at Wehrli furniture and asked how much it would be for them to fix it, and he said to just drop it off and he would fix it for FREE! So that's what I did, and now the table looks as good as new. He did not need to fix it for free, but he did. Thank you, Paul! read more

I am so glad I found this place! I started to reupholster my grandmas chair, but once I was at the point of no return, I realized I didn't know what I was doing. So I called around to furniture repair places and everyone's bids were sooooo outrageously expensive until I found Wehrli Furniture. They were so helpful and patient as I decide on fabric and design, and the chair turned out even more beautiful than I could've imagined. And, they dropped the chair off at my house bc I couldn't get over there w a truck- great customer service! Will def be back with any furniture repair needs in the future. read more

I had a chair break from the dining set I inherited from my grandmother. I was pretty upset by it because it was from Denmark circa 1960... Pretty much irreplaceable. It's​ teak and I was terrified by the repair cost. I am so glad I found Wehrli! They did an amazing job. They carved a whole new leg, fitted it in perfectly, and stained it so you would never be able to tell it was repaired unless you knew what to look for. I am so pleased with the results and thought the cost was pretty reasonable, considering the cost of the materials. I will definitely go back to Wehrli if I need furniture repair in the future! Asked for a quote and ideas for a simple shelf project. Was told no problem, took the time to meet at my home then was given many empty promises that I'd get calls, info and cost estimates to no avail. After 3 weeks patiently waiting and being put off I was presented with: we will paint a piece of wood black for $900. Insulting and ridiculous, I had to repeat back that this was really what I was being told after 3 weeks. I had less than a week left until I needed at least the dimensions, which they were well aware of, at this point so I was left in a bind and frantically trying to find someone else to help. There are no words to describe how bad a job was done stripping finish from my antique door and wood trim. All pieces stiil had some or most of the stain still on and the details in the panels were still filled with dried stripper, varnish and stain. The workers persisted in saying that this result was good as it gets and the rest of the residue should be sanded off. I can't imagine what they would have done to my wood trim if I had let them sand it. I used a contour sander, a palm sander and sandpaper held in hand to try to get the stuff off without obliterating the detail. The dried on varnish and stripper left shiny spots that caused the stain not to soak in uniformly. An F minus for workmanship and a low score on character as they insisted that the residue could not have come off when they were stripping. read more
