Wow, what an amazing experience! Dana (owner) is extremely accommodating and really has an eye for fabrics and colors. He is very passionate about his craft, and makes you excited about your renewed furniture. At first when we walked in, we weren't even sure exactly what we wanted. But after 15min with Dana, we couldn't wait for the finished product. And we didn't have to wait long! Our 8x dining room chair seats were reupholstered with a gorgeous new fabric and extremely thick padding in 3x days. Clearly our chairs will now last another 20yrs! Dana truly loves what he's doing and is really good at it. I took an old, tired, lumpy chair in to be reupholstered, he helped us pick out fabric, and assured us the result would be beautiful when he was done. He wasn't kidding. I needed the cushions from two office chairs restuffed. I checked pricing online to try to do it myself and was shocked by the cost of the material. I'd used DS before and was happy with their work so, at lunch, I dropped the cushions off. The owner greeted me as soon as I walked in and took a look at the cushions. He quoted me an amount which was just a little more than if I had done it myself. They do want a deposit of 50% upfront. Without cash, there is a 7-11 in the plaza with an (expensive) ATM, but I got the cash and paid the deposit. So, it was about 11:45 AM and he asked if I could pick them up by 4 PM the same day. I didn't expect I could get there so early so told him I'd be back the next afternoon. The day passed and I was ready to leave my office by 5:30. I checked Yelp and saw he was open until 6 PM so headed right over. But I picked the day he closed early. At lunch the next day I went to get the cushions. He showed me his work saying he put the right amount in (2 inches), but it looked like he could do better so he added an extra inch at no extra charge. The cushions are now back in my office, firm and comfortable. He really does great work. read more

Dana is the eccentric owner of this odd little shop, tucked away in a corner-ish location in the Park Place Shopping Center at the NE corner of Thorntree Lane and Algonquin Road. But make no mistake, he can do miracles with your recoverings! He is a chair whisperer and the very extensive rolls of material he has piled everywhere in his very claustrophobic once-upon-a-time showroom are augmented by some very extensive catalogues that can produce just about any look and quality that you want. I have worked with this guy several times now, over the years, and he has never disappointed me once. He is good with deadlines and the dates he gives out seem to be dependable deadlines and as word continues to get out, because of his good quality, he's going to be busier and busier so make sure you get your orders in quick. He's got a boisterous, humorous demeanor that becomes very endearing once you realize that he's a very nice man who's trying to do the best that he can . . . and it has worked out just great for me, quite a few times now. Had our dining room chairs reupholstered at DS. Dana provided input and guidance on the project and when completed, the finished chairs were better than the original. I brought my sectional sofa to be reupholstered and new cushions made. I dropped off a section of the sectional part of the sofa and all the cushions. I told them that the back cushions collapse and want that corrected. I picked up the new cushions and within a year they are worse than ever. He now tells me me he should have made it taller but i will have to pay for new cushions. I paid $1700 and he will not stand behind his work. I would not ever bring anything to that place again. DS reupholstered the seats on six of our dining room chairs. The chairs are 25 years old and their seats were not correctly supported by the original furniture maker, causing them to sink in over the years. In one week's time-- only a few weeks before Thanksgiving, nonetheless--this company completely and beautifully revived the seat cushions by adding wood supports and new cushioning that makes them better than when first purchased. They are skilled and talented craftsmen who do careful and professional work. Their little shop appears cluttered when you walk in, but it's only because they're so busy. Highly recommend. read more
