This is specifically for Ryan Zimmerman at Weickert allison and Jeter. Would not refer him at all, I used him a few years and he did "alright". This year I called in to have my taxes done and he was the only one available. Was hesitant to use him and should have trusted my gut. The receptionists I will say are very accommodating and understanding. I went back and forth with them to get a call time with ryan because we don't live close had to reschedule a few times which was unfortunate. Once I did have my phone call appointment with Ryan he never called and I had to call them. Never got to speak to ryan directly only the receptionist who said he never received my email ( highly doubtful). After that she told me that ryan all of sudden isn't able to my taxes anymore after I already had an extension. Completely unprofessional and unwilling to call me himself and had to have the receptionist do it is also unacceptable. I will not doing business here anymore and I will also tell my family not to. I had a conversation with Tony Allison. First of all, he returns a phone call after 5 days (this is happening in August, so outside of the busy tax season, imagine how slow he responds your calls during tax season). I wanted to test him and see how his process and his level of knowledge is. It turns out he is very expensive (and he always quotes prices saying "assuming XYZ it costs that much" to leave himself room to jack up prices even more. Then I asked him a simple question to see his level of knowledge and he refused answering because I'm not yet a client. Finally he put the cherry on the cake by saying: it's better if you go elsewhere. If you're looking for an inexperienced, spoiled, overpriced CPA with an awful customer service and an attitude problem, then you're in good hands with Tony Allison. congratulations! read more

After many years of loyalty to this firm they have raised their rates once again. We understand EVERYTHING has gone up but when it takes 15 minutes to do taxes for people who have minimal deductions and are already in the computer you could give a little consideration and customer appreciation. If you drop off your paperwork instead of a face to face appt. you can save $25. Chris was always efficient and nice but unfortunately we won't be seeing him this year. This company did my taxes. I think they did an okay job -- hard to say, as I'm not an expert. But, what I do know is that I needed some easy number crunching to find out what taxes I'd owe if I sold my house. I emailed all the pertinent data to my accountant at WAJ in April. I emailed again. And then again in September, at which point the info was critical. Plus I called and left a voicemail. I have gotten zero response. Not a "we don't do this," or "doing this will cost ___," or anything. So unprofessional. I'm not naming names here because I think it's rude and the name partners can contact me if they want to know. But I sure won't use them again or refer anyone to them. read more

My family had their taxes done here this year and the experience was NOT good. Usually we have some sort of a tax refund at the end of the year. This year, Randy Jeter helped us owe the IRS an extra 15,000+ dollars. Being that there is no way we can pay that, we went to another firm that made amendments to the forms that resulted in our usual tax refund. Since I did not have any experience with the other professionals in the firm, I do not want to unfairly advise against the company, but I would not recommend Randy Jeter. read more

Beware of partner Dave Allison!!!!!!! He and his staff lost our signed efile docs and instead of letting my wife and I know, filed an extension on our behallf. We only found out a couple of days ago when his secretary called to request docs. I follwed up with Dave to find out what had happened and his respose was: "We deal with over 4,500 clients and while we strive for excellence in the service we provide, achieving perfection is obviously impossible. Unfortunately, the rare occurrence of something falling through the cracks can happen. I apologize for this inconvenience and can't give an explanation of what happened with the earlier e-mail you sent with the forms. I will submit them electronically today." From this I may be able to derive: 1. It's OK if one client is mishandled as Weickert, Allison, and Jeter have 4,499 more. 2. Weickert, Allison, and Jeter do not have systems strong enough to alert clients that have deficiencies in their filing/tax preparation. In lieu of this, they will file an extension without notifying the client. 3. Weickert, Allison, and Jeter are unable to track incoming documents and/or safely store them for later retrieval. THERE ARE TOO MANY TAX PROFESSIONALS TO BE SUBJECTED TO THIS POOR LEVEL OF SERVICE. Caveat Emptor! read more
