That's the only redeeming quality about this gym. The service is terrible. Staff communication is absent. The facilities are under repair for months at a time. For the last few months prior to writing this review, I had been going to this gym regularly to swim. I went to this gym at all hours of the morning, evening, weekdays, and weekends. Everytime I came into the gym (most) of the front desk staff barely acknowledged my existence. I'm fine with not being greeted although I think it is unprofessional. NOT ONCE did any staff member communicate to me that there may be an issue with my account despite several opportunities to do so. Finally, on a HOLIDAY weekend, I'm informed by a front desk staff member that my account was not only canceled, but the passed due amount had already been SENT TO COLLECTIONS?!?! I was literally just in there the day before on a Friday morning where NO ONE said a single word to me concerning any passed due amount. It turns out that months ago my card was stolen and had to be replaced. Most subscription services that I did not remember to update had the decency to send a reminder or an alert whenever they attempted to charge my account. Instead of a call, text, email, smoke signal, or generally make the slightest bit of effort to communicate to me that there may be an issue with my account, ALL THE STAFF chose to remain silent when I walked in. I find that kind of behavior incredibly cowardly and incompetent.

Plenty of treadmills, two amt stride machines, some ellipticals and a couple bikes. They have a smaller CrossFit station which was nice, but a little tight if you had three folks there. But the gym? That's what needs some attention. I don't know for sure if when the rubber comes off the plates it's affects the weight of the weight itself. I assume it does, and for that assumption this place needs new plates. There are kits that have the rubber completely peeled away. The weights are mixed and matched, missing end caps on the dumbbells, and what I found strange is they didn't have a seated cable row machine. Not that it's bad but it's weird. They do have a hazard next to the dumbbells. Decent size sunk in portion that needs attention. If you are all jacked up on preworkout you'll roll an ankle. So be careful. You can get a great workout here don't get me wrong, just have a few small things to fix. And based on the new cardio equipment, they're on their way. Would workout here again next time im in town.

The equipment? Glorified coat racks. The staff? Half-asleep corporate clones who care more about wiping fingerprints off the smoothie machine that doesn't exist than basic hygiene. I've seen cleaner restrooms at gas stations that sell meth pipes. And don't get me started on the free pizza days. What? Who thought this was a good idea for a GYM? They even have a nifty kiosk in the lobby for you to view scheduled group exercise classes too! Lockers, showers, and bathrooms are readily available as well. It's nice to have a well-equipped gym option available in the West Monroe area, especially since this area is not accustomed to having fancy equipment like I'm used to in the big city.
