Some people do very well using only the online (core) membership. I attend meetings in Westfield as much as possible because the members are "my people." They are supportive and we cheer one another's successes and share what works for us and what challenges we may have. I soak up all of the information I can (i haven't talked during the meetings yet). I've been to the 8:00 and 9:30 sessions on Saturdays with Valerie leading the meetings and she is fantastic. She filled in one Saturday at my closer location and I knew that she was the perfect leader for me. Westfield is the second closest location for me but worth the trip. The Millburn location is okay but the acoustics are terrible for me. I wear a hearing aid and it's very uncomfortable for me at that location (difficult to hear). The members there aren't as lively as the Westfield folk. I think it comes down to the leader. Once you find your leader, you'll know.
