Extremely disappointing experience with Swedish Hospital pediatrics…read more I was billed twice for the same visit, which was a routine infant wellness appointment. One charge was around $320 for the wellness visit and another around $340 labeled as an outpatient visit for the exact same appointment. Previously, I was also charged separately for a 20 minute visit, which is not a short visit, and another longer visit. It felt like I was being billed by the minute without any clear explanation upfront. The breaking point was during a wellness visit when the doctor asked about a prior sinus issue and briefly checked it. That alone triggered a second charge. I was never informed that answering a question during the same appointment would result in additional billing. After multiple calls, they refused to correct it. This feels misleading and unacceptable. Parents should not be penalized for basic care during a scheduled visit. I have since switched providers to a practice that actually prioritizes patients over billing tactics. Take your loved ones somewhere else where they care about providing care more than ripping you off.

My daughter is 5 and not fully potty trained, some basic research would tell you that this is very typical behavior in children with ASD, especially of her level. I say this because: Looks I can ignore, but one of the nurses had the audacity to walk into the room and say "A little old mom".. those exact words. With FULL confidence and little attitude. I immediately was shocked and when they came back to the room, I (as politely as I could) said I was going to take my daughter somewhere else and that it is extremely unprofessional (and rude!) to say something like that. She then tried to say "I'm sorry you feel that way" to which I said "no, you took a direct jab at me and that's not right. Especially as a nurse." I explained that my daughter is learning at her pace, her father and I ask/offer every single day (with much praise) to have her use the toilet, but we aren't going to force her.. that's more psychologically damaging than what we are currently doing. She did try to come and apologize as I was complaining to the front office, but the damage was done. I did my best to not raise my voice and even ended on a "I hope you have a good day" to everyone, like I did every single time I came in before that.. It was a younger pregnant lady, but she is well old enough to know better. So take that as you will, I HIGHLY do NOT recommend this pediatricians office to anyone, especially children on the spectrum. Thank you for reading.

I was told that it would be handled by the next day but when I was told to expect a call or call them, It was impossible to get through to them for the durability of a week. prolong my child's ability to get his broken bone treated. when I left a voicemail expressing the urgency, I never received a call back nor any response or apology for dropping the ball when a child cared for by them had a broken bone. I eventually felt unsafe with them caring for my children and found a much better primary care physician who handled everything in just a day. which is also a previous physician that worked at stepping stone while under the previous management. if the management was still under the previous owners, the rating would be much higher.

The staff is great and so helpful explaining things to me. They work really well with my baby regardless of how well rested he is. Scheduling and payment with insurance is easy. They also were happy to decrease frequency when we made progress and want to make sure that we're set developmentally before completing our time with them. My son probably loves this place the most since there are so many fun toys .

As others have noted, there is free parking and the office staff are friendly. We took our daughter there for years and were basically happy. However, I would not recommend if your child develops anything more complicated than bronchitis. When our daughter became ill with what at first appeared to be a "stomach flu" but persisted for several weeks, they minimized her suffering, told us she would be fine and to come back in a week if she was still having problems. They did not take us seriously even as our daughter lost weight and stopped being able to eat without feeling nauseous. We saw two different doctors there in addition to our primary doc because the primary was never available after the first visit. Eventually (more than three weeks after our first visit), after they finally sent her for tests, they found she was, in fact ill and it was serious after she went more than three weeks without help. Fast forward a few months and she started having different symptoms. They again minimized her symptoms and told us to come back if it continued. This time, I took her to a different doc in a different practice because I had had enough. The new doctor worriedly sent her for tests on her first visit and found that she had developed another serious condition that was brought on by her previous illness. I'm not listing the doctors' names in here because we saw three different doctors during this ordeal. The one that finally ordered the tests was Dr. Fillipo, if that helps, but we only saw him once and that was three weeks after our first visit. I rarely write reviews and typically avoid writing negative reviews, and as long as your child is normal and healthy, you will probably be fine here. My son has active insurance and Swedish is in the network, but for some reason, the clinic did not send any claim to the insurance and the billing department sent us a bill of $340.00 for this visit. They sent us this bill every month (3 times so far) and each time we contacted the billing department and the clinic, and they supposed to fix it, but we were surprised with a new bill every month. We contacted the insurance company several times and they said we did not receive any claim from Swedish. Also, I checked my insurance account online and I do not see any claim from Swedish pediatric clinic. Finally, we paid $340.00 OUT OF POCKET for just annual wellness check. I scheduled this appointment 2-3 months in advanced and the clinic scanned my son's insurance card. They have enough time to verify the insurance. (this is active insurance), Now, 3 months after the appointment, they still did not send any claim to the insurance, and I end up paying $340.00 out of pocket. I am really disappointed with this clinic; I never go there again or recommend it to anybody.

He's outstanding with young children - he gets on their level, explains what is going on (even lets them check out his stethoscope!) and speaks to them in a way that made our toddlers look forward to visiting the doctor's office. He's extremely current on medical research and the latest standards of practice (which changes often in prenatal care), and he went above and beyond to research various questions we had. Overall, we can't recommend him highly enough, and will miss him now that he's moved to Lynnwood to practice at Group Health.

It's a huge bonus that they have urgent care- so many kid issues require last minute appointments and we've never had trouble getting in. Appointments do not feel super rushed.
