My experience with Dr. Raees and Evergreen Pediatrics has unfortunately fallen far short of expectations, and we have now switched to a new provider. After a sudden need to find a new pediatrician for my daughter at 8 months (we were originally going to Stepping Stones), we turned to Evergreen Pediatrics based on positive reviews, only to be sorely disappointed. At our initial appointment to establish care for my daughter, we were greeted not by the doctor, but by a nurse who handled basic procedures, such as vital checks and milestone questions, leaving us feeling detached from the personalized care we had previously received at Stepping Stones. Moreover, Dr. Raees arrived 30 minutes late, attributing her tardiness to personal matters, which set a discouraging tone for the appointment. Her communication style lacked warmth and came across as judgmental, rather than supportive. Our questions about milestones for her appropriate age were dismissed and no other information was given to us when it came to development and things to expect. As first-time parents, this appointment was not helpful. Administrative mishaps further added to our dissatisfaction. Not only did the front desk fail to return my ID (for verification), but they also neglected to inform me of an outstanding balance until I arrived for my daughter's 1-year check-up. This lack of communication and attention to detail was concerning. Additionally, the medical care provided was subpar. Despite having my daughter's blood drawn, I was left without updates on her results until I proactively pursued them through their outdated patient portal app. The final straw came during my daughter's 1-year check-up, where the lack of attention to detail and professionalism was glaring. The presence of an inexperienced individual administering vaccinations, whose trembling hands added to our discomfort, underscored the overall disregard for patient care. In conclusion, my experience with Evergreen Pediatrics has left me dissatisfied and questioning the level of care provided. Stepping Stones, our previous pediatrician, set a high standard that Evergreen Pediatrics failed to meet, leaving us deeply disappointed. I urge prospective patients to conduct thorough research and consider meeting with the doctors before committing to their services. While we are relieved to have found a better provider, I earnestly hope that new parents will choose a practice that prioritizes thorough, compassionate care over expediency. So I was in a search for a new pediatrician for my daughter. When I first came to this clinic, the front office was very short. It took them forever to give me back. My idea I had to come and ask them a handful times to hand me back my ID and my insurance card. Then when I went to see the nurse practitioner that was seeing my daughter to get her immunizations, she was very pleasant kind so it kind of set the tone for this clinic. After returning for my daughter's nine month check up I seen Dr. Raees I was very disappointed with her aggression towards my daughter, trying to get her to stand up, and she was very judgmental towards her for the first time of her meeting her she has expressed her concerns at my daughter is not yet crawling around and standing up on her own, which she just turned nine months and I reference back to her that every child is different and this is your first time meeting my daughter for you to express your concerns and refer us right away to specialist. I didn't like how she handled my daughter and making her upset and forcing her to do something when knowing that kids that are under stress, don't cooperate very well. Besides those things I called and left 3 voicemails in three day regarding my newborn and never received a call back and it's been a week. If you're looking for a pediatric office that cares for time management and the well being of your child I would look elsewhere. read more

I brought my 2mth old for her vaccines as her regular clinic was unable to see her in time and we were looking for a new clinic. I wasn't impressed and will not return or recommend. I waited over 30mins to be seen for our appt and the wait wasn't even acknowledged. Once back in the room, it wasn't cleaned from the previous patient. They didn't ask me to bring her previous vaccine records and made me wait for another 15min while they looked them up in the state database. It had been an hour since showing up and my baby was restless, she was crying and fussy and I almost just left because the wait had been so long. When the Dr finally came in, she spent a long time talking about formula and that she didn't like what I was using. I supplement with formula and take my prenatal supplements with DHA so my baby is still getting an appropriate amount of DHA with my breast milk and formula, which she felt was still not enough. I did not ask for advice on formula and am not interested in changing from what we found works best for our baby. She really fixated on it and it felt like I was being chastised and almost like she just wanted to argue. She finally started examining her and I said she has some baby acne or possibly eczema as she has small bumps all over her face and neck. She disregarded this and said, no, she has cradle cap. She gave me a handout for a shampoo and didn't look at the bumps or offer any advice for them, which are clearly not cradle cap. I could have taken these interactions with a grain of salt and tried them again but then the Dr said the right side of my baby's head is flat and told me to use a pillow in her car seat and her crib. She said it's the only pillow that's approved for use in their beds and carseats. I was shocked. I know for a fact that there are NO approved pillows for use in either and that the FDA and AAP both state nothing is to be placed in your child's sleeping area. And if you use anything else in a carseat, it can affect its performance in an accident. This is the biggest reason we will not be returning. I can't believe a pediatrician would recommend something that could increase the risk of suffocation or SIDS. I would use caution with any advice they offer that isn't explicitly medical advice. Pillows are not FDA recommended or approved and there is no benefit to using one even if there is slight flatness as it will resolve on its own more often than not. There were additional issues but these were the most important to relay for a review and advice to any parents looking into this place. read more

I am kinda mom who always call visit doctors especially my first born son. Both doctors managed to see my kids and made me comfortable. My both kiddos were patient in Evergreen Pediatrics over 3 years. Even though we moved to Bothell we would still visit there because they genuinely care my children. Both Dr.Raes and Dr.Brennan are caring I can tell they love children. During the flu season, I usually can make appointments on that day is pretty awesome when kids are sick. read more

This clinic has become like a family and will bend over back for their clients. I can tell they truly love there clients and through ups and downs, they always show they care and improve their practice. I've been coming for 4 years now and they are always flexible if I need to bring my child in with my or am running late or need to reschedule. I have no trouble getting in to make an appointment when it's convenient for me. They have a newer answering system so someone always answers my calls and attends to me right away. I see Dr Brennan and she is great, she always fights for my healthy and my son was a patient of the owner Dr Reyes and she's an amazing business owners. Prior to Covid she even made a house call to check on my son. That's not common now a days so I defiantly recommend them to everyone I know. read more

Such an unwelcoming experience. My husband and I went in for our first newborn check up. The front desk girl didn't say "I can help you here" so it was confusing who I was supposed to talk to (there were 3 people behind the desk who all just stared when we walked in). The room was very cold and stale. Not very great for a first experience. The nurse or medical assistant was not very welcoming either. Never got her name or introduction. She didn't seem to care at all about us or our newborn. She seemed discontent that we forgot a diaper--we should have brought our diaper bag but we're new to this whole parenting thing! They didn't have any newborn diapers so she brought a size 1. What pediatrics doesn't have their facilities stocked? The stocking issue came up multiple times where the doctor offered to give samples or more information and it ended with "oh, we're low on all of our supplies." No apologies. The doctor (Dr. Brennan) was the worst. She asked basic paperwork questions but when I brought up concerns or questions of my own, she just prescribed medication instead of explaining what is causing the issues, talking through the healing process. Her tone was dismissive and seemed like I was talking to someone who was "done for the day". She also asked about the latching for breastfeeding (to which she said the latch was good and I told her it wasn't painful) but then she recommended and pushed for a frenectomy. She never explained the procedure outside of saying "midwife will clip, the dentist will use laser". I haven't had any issues with breastfeeding and looking at our daughters mouth, it looks like she's doing fine. This is SUCH San invasive procedure and she brushed it off like it was nothing. Instead of helpful pamphlets, she kept saying "open your phone and search this" to my husband for over the counter items. Her tone was rude and demanding. Later she left to get a frenectomy pamphlet (which we didn't want anyway) and walked in with a cup of espresso in her hand. It was such a rude gesture in my opinion to A) not offer a drink to us (not that we wanted it) and B) to not wait until our appointment was over for her to grab it; we were at the end of our appointment anyway. She then told us to go to "Coral 5th Floor" which is in the evergreen hospital. I didn't know where it was or what she was talking about so I asked "Coral 5th Floor?" And she just said "yeah, go there for the lab". Thankfully with some deduction, my husband realized it was at the hospital. I am baffled by her tone, demeanor, and overall presence. SO UNWELCOMING. We will not be going back. And we will be getting a second pediatrician's opinion on all our concerns. One who actually listens to us and addresses the issues instead of cutting me off and saying "oh yeah, I'll together you a prescription". I don't want a prescription until there's an explanation! Oh, she did give a free cooler bag to hold breastmilk. I could not care less about it--it doesn't make up for any of the upsetting experience we had. read more

Both of my daughters go to this clinic and We are really happy with Dr. Basma because she made us feel like we're in safe hands. During our appointment she listens patiently, examines thoroughly and accurately diagnose the illness. Every-time we leave the clinic we feel satisfied. I have been to this place many times now and I must say it is a great place. Doctors here spend time and do effort to take good care. They have a nice play area to keep kids busy. I have had appointments for my toddler with both dr.Brennan and dr.Raees. I'm satisfied and would definitely recommend them. I'm surprised to see the reviews. We had our first appointment for our newborn here, My fiancé was called twice by the receptionist about setting up an appointment 2 days after we had already set one up and her excuse was always "oh yes, it's right here I must have missed you". We show up 10 minutes early to our 10am appointment and are told sorry you can't come in until 10am when there sign clearly says open at 9am. When we are brought back to the room the nurse began acting very strange, she almost seemed extremely nervous and her accent was so thick it was quite hard to understand. The nurse asked us to undress our one week old daughter and place her on the exam table before I can say anything, the nurse places her finger in my daughters mouth without hand sanitizer or washing her hands and no gloves. My fiancé and I both just stared at her in disbelief, she looked at us then went and put on hand sanitizer after the fact. Our Doctor "Dr Brennan" was nice and polite however she continued to tell us that every ointment and the shampoo we were going to use was bad and wouldn't give us a solid reason on why, just the response of "oh yeah I don't like that.". Neither the nurse or doctor wore gloves throughout my daughters exam. We won't be coming back. read more

Terrible. I was a patient there back when Dr. Ibrahim was there. I recently got accepted into UW and needed to provide my immunization record for enrollment. I called a couple weeks ago but they said they'd need my information and call me back. They never did. I had to call the clinic again, and this time they finally told me they didn't have my records because Ibrahim left and apparently so did my immunization records. Irritated, I asked if there was anyway I could get my records from another source and the lady gives me this random address with no phone number. I asked where exactly was the address was going to lead me and she said she didn't know. So I hung up, looked up the address and it brought me to a random street house. Angry and confused, I called back and they rejected my call. What. The. Eff... Thanks for the help. read more

Very bad experience here. My first impression of the place was that it was unprofessional and they lack charisma when dealing with kids. I first noticed the unprofessionalism when I wouldn't receive any documentation of my sons vaccines, growth charts or even information pamphlets; they would just jot down all of his measurements on a piece of paper and I would never know if they were actually being documented into the system. My sons pediatrician was initially Dr. Basma Raees and right off the bat we didn't feel like she was the right fit for us so we switched to Dr. Mahendran and she was wonderful until she left the clinic. She didn't inform us or gave us a heads up, which I thought was very unprofessional because normally when a doctor moves they should notify all of their patients. Dr. Basma Raees was the one that did my sons 18th month check up and this was the last time i'll ever step foot in that clinic. My son is at that stage where he is very timid in clinics especially when new people try to approach him. Dr.Basma obviously saw that my son was very upset and scared, but instead of trying to approach him in a friendly way to gain his trust she was just sitting there with her arms crossed. She then made a comment saying she did not understand why he's acting like that. She kept asking me if he had eaten or if he had slept. Dr. Basma was not patient whatsoever and did not try to approach him slowly or in a friendly way. It felt very rushed and forced. read more

I can't believe the reviews on here! I have a completely different experience to write about. But I guess my theory about Yelp is that a majority of people write to complain so I only write when I have something positive to say. The front desk staff has always been helpful and considerate! I haven't had to call the office much, so I can't speak to phone etiquette. What I got on here to write about is both Dr. Raees and Dr. Brennan. They have always been accurate and attentive. I think it's so great to have both a pediatrician and a naturopathic doctor in the same office. Dr. Brennan always thinks of research based, creative solutions (which I can appreciate since I'm in the medical field) to complement tradition medical treatment. And she gives handouts so I don't forget by the time I get home. Dr. Raees is an expert pediatrician. She has so much wisdom. I especially appreciate her counseling about healthy eating and kid's diets (she knew it wasn't realistic to have the kids eat no pizza so she emphasized healthy side options with lots of veggies). It's the best of both worlds, in my opinion. Plus, they've been super flexible with my schedule. read more

I am so thankful I found Evergreen Pediatrics. The Pediatricians are so kind and caring. They always spend a lot of time with me at visits and answer every question. What I really like is they recommend non-medication solutions whenever possible. I especially like the new Pediatrician, Dr. Mehendran. She is very thorough and always giving evidence based advice. She is also very encouraging and gentle. I highly recommend this practice. The front desk staff are wonderful and responsive. We have never had a problem getting in when we need too and they are open on Saturdays! read more

The care provided is excellent however if you want to make an appointment you might as well go do it in person because apparently return phone calls are not a part of services provided. Seriously, twice now after weeks of calling and not hearing back I've had to just drop in to schedule an appointment. No apology and no explanation regarding the lack of responsiveness beyond "we've been getting that a lot lately." And that's not a sign you might need either a new system or new people????? Worst experience thus far!! I am not about being rude and writing reviews unless it is absolutely necessary. Yesterday my hubby took our son into the doctor to address an issue he was having on his back. Initially my thought was that this marking was an allergic reaction to antibiotics he was prescribed two days beforehand. The visit started off completely wrong my hubby checked in with the front reception who then proceeded to giggle and pull necklaces out of a bag after checking them in. Now small talk is okay but for you to be reception and conducting yourself like children is absolutely unprofessional. When he was taken into the room the nurse asked why Archer was there, nobody notified her the reasoning of the visit. Dr. Raees came in to examine my son and long story short determined that my child's marks were burns. She did not do any testing or take any further measures other then just looking at the marks and feeling around the area. She proceeded to tell my hubby to continue with the antibiotics. With that being said she called CPS on us saying that she was highly concerned about my childs safety. I had to deal with a social worker and police who when seeing the markings did not believe they were a burn just as I suspected as well. I did not hesitate in knowing that I needed to grab a second opinion. I later took my son to Childrens hospital, they determined that my son suffered from a bug bite that he had an exaggerated reaction to. PLEASE THINK TWICE BEFORE taking your child to Dr. Raees, this has not been my first bad experience with her and I find her to be incompetent and negligent. read more

We have been bringing our 15 month old son here to see Dr Brennan since he was a newborn and have always had a positive experience. My husband and I first met with her a couple weeks before our son was born and felt confident choosing her as our pediatrician. At times our son can be pretty shy and nervous around other people but he has always felt very comfortable and behaves perfectly with Dr Brennan. We also like that she is a ND and we share similar views about health and nutrition. Our nurses have all been very patient and nice and we have never had any trouble scheduling any of our appointments. This is a very convenient location for us to get to and we appreciate getting an appointment reminder call a day or two before. Overall we feel good about coming here and will continue to do so. read more

Your baby will get hurt here, you will notice it if you are a qualified parent or even you don't notice it if you are not. There are no professionalism in this office. After take my baby home, I found that the bandage they use after the vaccine shot did not ever cover my baby's needle wound! Your time can be wasted in various ways, They can keep you waiting for your appointment for over 1 hour! They can keep you waiting for your records for 2 month, and finally you want get done with them, they will still keep you waiting for another 2 hours, to get just a copy of records, the record you just signed where the signature is still warm! Their baby vaccine can be out of stock for over 1 weeks, and they just notice you one minute before your baby get it, without any apology. The way they speak is "One vaccine is out of stock for 1 week! But I prepared others for you, What do you want?" What do I want? I want professionalism, I want get noticed earlier, I want my time not wasted, I want respect! read more

For five years I had no complaints about Evergreen Pediatrics, but this last week and a half has absolutely changed that. They did not answer any phone line for a week and a half; neither the front desk (option 1) nor the records department (option 8). The message on the front desk line said they were "experiencing a higher volume of calls than usual". I went to the office in person after three messages over five days were not returned, and in the decent amount of time I waited for the front desk girl to come back, the phone did not ring once. When she did finally return, I was informed that their printer was out of ink, so my kiddo's records would be mailed that afternoon. Well it's Wednesday now, and after getting a hold of someone over in billing earlier (the only line that would answer; I tried the business manager, records twice, and front desk twice), they are *finally* answering at least the front desk line and claim to have mailed the records yesterday. Let's hope USPS Informed Delivery is wrong and the records are indeed in today's mail, but my hope is minimal and I'm finding a new pediatrician. read more

Dr. Basma Raees is my son's physician. I am absolutely thrilled by her competance and conduct. Being a physician myself i admire her for the fact that she takes time to do a through physical examination and rule out every possibility of illness, even when the child is seemingly normal. This helps relieve the concerns of anxious mothers. She talks logic in a way that is easily understandable. I feel my child is in safe hands, everytime i get to consult her. read more

DON'T GO THERE.... Our daughters used to be Dr Ibrahim's patients for years and we loved him. After he retired he referred us to Dr Basma Raees. Despite of some strange comments about sweets intake, or losing my daughter's medical record, she is nice and seems a good doctor. OMG...This office is the most disorganized, messy, and unwelcoming office that I have ever seen. The receptionists are rude, unprofessional and unfriendly.The immunization record got lost and when they provided us a new one all the dates were wrong. Last week I visited them in their new location, after leaving hundreds of messages (all remained unreturned for 5 days) to consult with a travel nurse or any doctor for what was needed in our upcoming trip for our 5 years old in case of emergencies, the receptionist were looking at me like I just landed from the moon and speaking space language. Had no idea what I was talking about. What? What kind of medicine? for what? what do you need? I said these are the kind of questions that the doctor or travel nurse should answer, that's why I am here. They were acting like how dare I have such a request. I found another doctor and asked them to send my daughter medical record to that office, they were not even able to find the authorization form to release medical records to the other doctor. The three receptionists ...with attitude...were just whispering when were looking for the forms in EVERY single drawer, three times each. First of all I want to say that Dr.Basma Raees is one of the most kind with a quiet approach with kids person that I ever meet I really high recommend her, she always try to find a nice way to talk with kids and parents. UNFORTUNATELY SHE HAS THE WORST STAFF EVER!!! The receptionist is the most disorganized, rude, unfriendly, and unwelcoming person ever, she NEVER replied to any phone calls or voice messages, her and the nurse always pretend to be super busy (when you try to call on the phone) but I saw them (not only once) shaping their nails during the work time with patients in the waiting room they are really unprofessional. They NEVER remind the annual check-up or any incoming appointment. Last year I ask to the receptionist to have an appintment with the allergist and she fixed me and appointment with Dr.Lisa Brennan but she is a Naturopathic Medicine specialist and the receptionist didn't tell me anything about her specialization, I'm really sorry about that but I think that she doesn't have any clue on what happens in this office. read more
