Dealing with vendors in the city of Austin has proven to be extremely stressful and disappointing. Many show up late or worse, don't show up at all. With that being said, I was beyond grateful for the responsiveness and promptness of Weird Window Cleaning! Highly recommend! Joseph just left the house after doing all our windows inside and out and the screens as well. He was on time, very courteous and respectful of our property. I called a few window cleaning services, noting that I had a near-term, tight deadline for cleaning exterior windows with a hard stop. Some companies said they could accommodate it, some said they could not. Weird Window Cleaning said no problem, "our tech will be by around 2pm." He showed up at 5pm, clearly exhausted from a full day of work, and I actually felt bad for the guy seeing how tired he looked. Within 30 minutes of when he started on a window and he became ill, probably from mild heat stroke, and almost passed out. We gave him water, let him rest inside our house, and told him not to worry about it- we could just resume tomorrow. The next morning we were supposed to start between 6-7am, per a phone call with the manager (to catch up on time and work when it was cooler out). The gentleman showed up after 9am, which is a normal start time (especially after being so ill), but I was at home waiting during the window the manager stated. Clearly a miscommunication. I also was hoping they would have sent a different gentlemen to let this one rest, as he clearly needed it. He cleaned the exterior as quickly and thoroughly as he could (and it looked nice), but by the afternoon on the second day we are several hours past the agreed completion time, so I concluded the job. He did not have time to complete the interior sides of the windows, but the manager still charged full window clean price. This review has nothing to do with the tech, as he was a very kind, hard working individual. I really liked him and would use him again. This is about the manager/owner. Overall, I think the manager needs to be much more realistic with scheduling. If you say you CAN do the job, then do it- you're on the hook at that point. If you are unsure, do not say you can just to try to win business. Setting the appropriate expectations of timing (for both arrival and completion) will go a long way in customer happiness. I am rating this company solely based on the character of three washers, Joe, Martin, and Alex. After they finished their window washing job they helped a man in distress, a man they didn't know. They were trust worthy, helpful, honest, and caring. I'm sure they are as good as the next guy when it comes to washing windows, but I doubt you will find a more thorough team. read more

He did a beautiful job. I called him, left a message, and he called me right back, gave me a ballpark estimate, and we set up a time. His cleaning was much better, more thorough, than the last person we hired. He's a real perfectionist, even going back up on the roof a third time to get rid of a last streak (without being asked to do so). I had both the inside and outside cleaned, and about a third of our half our 29 windows are French windows. These are very difficult, basically 9 small windows per window, and it's easy to leave smudges or streaks in corners. They're perfect. He's a very pleasant, responsible young man. I did comparison pricing. He wasn't the cheapest. He wast average in terms of price. But his work is WAY above average. read more

The company canceled the first by appointment by message, didn't return a phone call, text or email for more than a week, finally made another appointment, called just before the appointment and said they might not be able to make it again. They finally showed up very late. They left the door wide open a total of 7 times. I have dogs and had to constantly watch them to make sure the dogs didn't get out. I repeatedly asked them to please shut the door but as they were leaving, they said it was my responsibility to keep the door shut. They also left the corners of all of the windows dirty and left streaks on many places on all of the windows. I showed them where I could easily remove the streaks with my bare hand, but they refused to redo the windows. The hired worker spent the whole time talking on the phone on the walkway in front of the house. Horrible people! If you hire them, you will regret it! read more

I recently purchased a living social to have my windows cleaned. Prior to purchasing, it requires you enter your zip cope to make sure you are within the approved radius. Mine was approved so I purchased it and scheduled an appointment. The first time, he asked to reschedule for personal reasons, which I was fine with. The second appointment, I left work early and ran home, only he never showed or called. Once he finally returned my calls, he stated traffic was bad and he was working too late on his apt. prior to mine. So I gave him a 3rd shot, for a Saturday morning apt. He calls 10 minutes prior to my apt. stating there WILL be an additional mileage charge. I explained that was not the terms and conditions of the living social, but he did not care. After confirming my address for weeks, he tells me this 10 minutes prior to my apt. Three strikes, you're out in my book. I told him not to come and I would get a living social refund. The most unprofessional vendor I have dealt with in some time. I will never know if he actually is a good window cleaner as I will make sure I do not deal with him again! read more
