I did a ton of research on breast augmentation, using sites such as Real Self & learning about over VS under the muscle, & the newer "dual plane" technique. Many of the photos I saw online frightened me. The results looked so unnatural! I wanted smaller implants & a very soft and natural look. My favorite photos were of women who had the newer dual plane technique. It was a surprise & delight to find out that two of my friends, one who had her implants changed for new ones, & one who had breast reduction, a breast lift, & a little bit of augmentation, were both patients of Dr McNeel. Both of them have such natural looking results that I instantly knew that he was my guy and MPS was the place to go. My former career was in the medical field. So when I tell you that the care & service and communication was THE BEST I HAVE EVER RECEIVED, believe it! Dueing the initial surgical consult, I was allowed to try on different sizes of augmentation in a sports bra to decide what size I was comfortable with. The patient education showed me pre-surgery, two weeks after surgery, three months after surgery, & six months after surgery. The photos online never show this! You get to see how the breasts will likely look once they have settled in! The photos online are usually only two weeks after surgery and nothing else! That's why they didn't look natural to me! All of my medication's were called into my pharmacy two weeks in advance. No rushing around just before the surgery to try to fill anything, or having to wait in a car after the procedure. They prepare you for success! The instructions they give you are clear, concise, and not confusing! That's a first in my experience in the medical field! They always answer the phone, a nurse practitioner or physicians assistant calls you back very quickly to answer any questions you have, if you don't manage to get them at the moment you call Marietta Plastic Surgery. I had my breast augmentation done October 3, 2023. I only used a little bit of pain medication, Tylenol three with codeine, for the first two days. Then I didn't need it at all! After about two weeks, I let some of my female friends know about my breast augmentation & they of course they wanted to see my new breasts. Even just two weeks after the surgery, they were astounded at how natural they look and how perfectly they fit my body. The technique that Dr. McNeel used (dual plane, 225 cc Mentor silicone for my 5' tall, 95 pound body) not only gave me very minimal bruising, which was gone within about five days, but my own breast tissue is over the bottom 1/3 of the implant & they look soft with round curvature at the bottom, full & very natural. And they haven't even finished healing & softening yet! Also, all of the surgical staff that I met with before the procedure encouraged me to bring in photographs of breast implant results that I liked. So I walked in with two pages, approximately eight or nine different breast implant procedures on other people I had found on other websites. Dr McNeel quickly identified one photo set of "before & after" where the lady was similar to me & let me know that her "look" was closest to my predicted end result, with normal variances, of course. Ladies, I have wanted breast implants for six or seven years. I did an entire years worth of research. And I scored a home run with Dr. McNeil & Marietta Plastic Surgery. I cannot encourage you enough to go see Dr. McNeel and make him your surgeon. Also, three of my friends asked for his contact information. I hope that they go to see him and be as happy as I am with their desired breast augmentation. I am a "very fit" person by most peoples' standards. The BEST! Saved my life!…read moreDr. Dua did three surgeries on me from 11/17 thru 7/18. I had a twisted upper intestine that had become gangrenous and 19 " was removed, at the first surgery. If he had not become involved after the third day of my admission, I would have died, within hours. That surgery left me with a massive hernia and a 42" waist, which is typically a 34, now 33! I then had to have everything put back where it belonged, a 4 hour or so surgery and more of my upper intestine removed. After that, I had another small hernia, got pneumonia, and spent time in ICU. Now... I am in 100% good health. I have had virtually no problems. I do not think that it would be a stretch to say that between Dr. Dua's skills, his prayers and the prayers of his family, the prayers of my wife and 1000's of friends and the absolutely outstanding care of the Northside Cherokee staff, that I would be alive today and writing this review. Every member of the staff I encountered treated me with kindness, professionalism, and genuine concern. My room was spacious, comfortable, and exceptionally clean. The Environmental Services staff did an outstanding job keeping everything spotless. On the first morning of my stay, my wife immediately commented on how clean the room looked--something she had never said during any previous hospital stay. The staff thoroughly cleaned and dusted the room, mopped the floor, and even changed the trash bag even though it was barely full. Their attention to detail did not go unnoticed. I also noticed a small device under the sink that I later learned was a Synexis air purification system. It operates so quietly that I never heard it, but I was impressed to learn that it continuously helps improve air and surface quality by generating a safe form of hydrogen peroxide. It was reassuring to see Northside Hospital Cherokee investing in technology that helps protect patients from the spread of germs. The food service exceeded my expectations. There was a wide variety of menu choices, the meals arrived on schedule, the portions were generous, the food was served at the proper temperature, and every meal was exactly what I ordered. Hospital food often gets a bad reputation, but that certainly wasn't my experience here. My discharge process was one of the smoothest I've ever experienced. Nurse Brenda made sure my wife and I had everything packed so nothing was left behind. She asked my wife to bring the car around to the entrance, and within just a couple of minutes I was on my way home. The entire process was efficient, organized, and stress-free. The highlight of my stay, however, was the nursing staff. Their compassion, professionalism, and positive attitudes made all the difference. Brenda and Elizabeth cared for me during the day, while Nancy and another night-shift nurse--whose name I unfortunately cannot remember--provided excellent care overnight. Every one of them treated me with respect and kindness, and they always seemed to have a smile on their face. They should be highly commended for their dedication to their patients. Because I am his mother, they let me nest in the hospital with him so I could breastfeed him. It was a hard five days in the hospital, but the staff did everything they could to take care of both of us. When the doctor eventually came in, I overheard him say, "Uh-oh, I'm in trouble," which just felt unprofessional and dismissive of the situation. The assistant with him didn't greet me, say anything, or acknowledge me at all. The whole vibe was cold and uncomfortable. Between this and my past issues with billing--where I was told I owed something I clearly didn't--this place has become extremely unwelcoming. I won't be coming back.
