Unethical and Predatory Practices I visited his office for…read morewhat was a simple sinus infection. Dr. Tandon did not take the time to listen to my symptoms. Instead, he immediately attempted to perform an endoscopy without my consent and billed me over $1,000 for it. This was entirely unnecessary for a routine sinus infection. They also invoiced for 45-minute visit when it literally took 5 minutes I left the appointment with no prescription, just a book recommendation on Amazon. When I later messaged the office about worsening symptoms (yellow/brown mucus), I was told I had to schedule another visit--less than a week after my first appointment. Only after I said I would have raised the issue with my insurance did Dr. Tandon call me later in the day, saying he could not prescribe an antibiotic without a CT scan but he would have done an exception For reference, I ultimately resolved my infection with a $6 antibiotic prescribed elsewhere.

I saw Dr Tandon yesterday with a flu at 102.2. My body had been in pain from head to toe and I was miserable. His nurse (Erica) was a sweetheart and was very hospitable as she told me twice "If you need anything, let me know" This is patient care! When Dr Tandon came in, he got right to business and asked me about my symptoms as well as discuss what I've been feeling lately. He makes eye contact and is very forward in his approach. This is a doctor who LISTENS and actually shows care. He's efficient and talks with you as he performs anything so nothng comes as a surprise. Book an appointment with him today. There's no wonder why he's at 5 stars. I've been prescibed tamiflu and am on my way to feeling better. Thanks Dr Tandon and staff.

But the last straw came when I called to have a prescription refilled. The receptionist told me that I had to come back in for an appointment. When I asked what the appointment was for, she replied "don't worry, they don't have to go down south or nothing"! Are you serious? I know she wasn't the doctor, but I don't want my health care (any part of it) in the hands of morons! At least try to sound like you're smart and professional!

The front desk staff was very friendly, as was the nurse who did my intake. The nurse even deducted 4 pounds from my weight, to allow for the clothes/boots...thanks, Gustavo! :) I saw Dr. Weiss, and he was fantastic. He was friendly and down-to-earth, and really took his time to check me out and ask questions. He explained everything in terms I could understand, without being condescending. Another thing that I love about this practice is that they're very up-to-date with technology. The doctor typed up my prescriptions and "sent" them to my pharmacy immediately - by the time I got to CVS, the prescriptions were ready. I highly recommend The Doctor Is In, and Dr. Weiss in particular.

He shrugged and told me that I should just "keep taking phenylephrine". I expressed concerns about side effects because I've been taking it for almost two weeks but he said to "not worry about it...it would just go away by itself " and to make another appointment in a few weeks if things didn't improve. Two weeks later, symptoms have gotten worse. It took another month to get a 2nd visit: I told him that the headaches got worse inspite of taking phenylephrine; that I'd attempt to stop but severe headaches returned. I reported getting dizzy spells and nausea. He didn't offer a theory as to why this was happening. He didn't say much except to see a neurologist. He couldn't recommend any. I got an appointment with a neurologist after a few weeks. By then I've had about 2 months without symptom alleviation due to following Dr. Hector Rodriguez's advice. The neurologist listened to my concerns, took a thorough history, and informed me I've been having phenylephrine reaction - that this medication's side effects included dizziness and nausea and brings about severe headaches if you get used to taking it and stop abruptly. (Basically, a withdrawal symptom.) She gave me an effective regimen to wean off phenylephrine and to take care of the sinus symptoms. I wish I had gone to her two months before. Dr. Hector Rodriguez is supposed to be an expert on sinus conditions but inspite of my expressed concerns he never told me about a common OTC's side effects. Even on the 2nd visit he didn't give sound advice about the impact of the drug or how to alleviate the symptoms. I found out later that my brother-in-law also picked him from his network; went there once and decided not to go again because of the doctor's dismissive attitude. I've had the good fortune to have been helped by competent, caring doctors, but I couldn't count Dr. Rodriguez among them. I have nothing to gain by giving him a negative review and will be posting a positive review of the neurologist. Please spare yourself a similar experience and find a specialist who will listen thoroughly and give informed advice.

It required immediate surgery as it was 1/2 millimeter away from my brain. BEWARE of Dr. Keenan. I'm so grateful I found a new care team that saved my life. If I could give zero stars I would.

Doctors around here really don't get much credit…read more.. That being said, since I'm already in the system for Riverside Medical Group both visits were super easy. I tend to get ear infections every couple of years. Found Dr. Sayani Niyogi from another location a while back. That place wasn't available then so ended up coming here instead. Check in a few weeks back was so easy . I was even allowed to bookend an appointment with a family member. This time ( today) I arrived a little bit early for my follow up appointment. Both times her office turned out to be empty. Actually got finished within a half hour twice. Four different doctors work out of this suite. They are only here a few times weekly. So this office really doesn't get very crowded. Also of some note, there is a two level parking lot right outside. As this address has several different specialists that work out of the first floor. Lucky me.

Riverside Medical Group has been having continued challenges with patients being able to contact…read moretheir doctor's offices. No answer, being left on hold and disconnected, no return call from doctor, etc. Dr. Niyogi was shockingly unprofessional and rude. She performed nasal surgery June 2020 on me at Hackensack University Hospital. A second staphylococcal infection returned within a week after first. Tried over three separate business days to notify her and her office. As above, no returned messages after having to call repeatedly to get someone on the phone. Upon bringing the subject up to her in person at a scheduled follow-up appointment the next week, I was told to "get the the point of all this as she had other patients waiting." I'm 55 and have NEVER been treated with such a lack of respect or care by any member of the medical profession. Further, I've worked with the Medical Council of Canada in doctor/patient relations so I'm knowledgeable on this. Most definitely seek another surgeon in my humble opinion.
