We were not impressive with their competency. The lawyers put the wrong individuals on the deed. The bank said they had communicated our request to the lawyers so I'm not sure who is to blame. However, we then had to submit a quit claim deed to correct this. Months after closing, we still never received confirmation of it being recorded at the county so I followed up with our attorney. He couldn't find it in the public records and realized that the post-closing department had misplaced it and never sent it in to the county. How in the world does that happen and not get noticed internally? read more

They have been holding my property tax from the sale of my home for over 3 weeks now. Even with documents from my former mortgage company and the Clayton county tax page stated that it if flagged as payment from escrow. Very frustrating. If they would have got the closing done on the original date, this would be a non issue considering my former mortgage company paid the day before the second closing date. Just overall not a good experience. Also Christy was rude and unprofessional when I called to ask questions. Most times you don't choose your closing attorney, but if you can, I would stay away from this company. read more

I am now stuck coming up with 12,000 including a late fee because she didn't notify the buyer or seller that the new tax bill would go to the incorrect recipient. This afternoon I was in Braselton GA on business, and saw the Weissman firm's location on Hwy 53. I knocked on the door and asked the young lady why answered the door what law the firm practiced. She informed me that it was real estate; I then asked for a business card, BUT WAS REFUSED ONE. Thinking she misunderstood me (maybe thinking I wanted to leave MY card?) This firm made this the worst real estate class ever. I held the mortgage on my son's home and 24 hours before the closing I realized that the they had never contacted me to arrange payments of the balance and release of the lien. I had to contact them and then get all the paperwork done and notarized on an emergency basis because they "forgot" to arrange for the lien release. The closing was held and they do not have the monies or the documents to release. They explained that their firm in Boston had failed to get the documents here on time. Now I am waiting for my monies to be delivered. It was supposed to come yesterday, the day after the closing, but it was delayed until today. It was supposed to be delivered by 10 :30 but they decided to save a few dollars and send it by "Next Day Saver" rather than"Next Day." if you are offered the use of this firm, Run, do not walk, too the door and find another law firm. read more

I had a closing on a home yesterday at Weissman, Nowack, Curry, and Wilco PC. The attorney was named Tyler Dunn and he did a great job. He walked me through all of the documents, explained what I was signing (and why) and even made sure I was satisfied with the services they provided as the Settlement Agent (I was.) Not that this matters, but they had an excellent selection of drinks and a big bowl of candy that we all helped ourselves to. Nothing makes a long, boring real estate closing better than a professional attorney and good snacks. If you have an opportunity to choose a closing attorney, I recommend Tyler Dunn at Weissman, Nowack, Curry and Wilco, PC. read more

At least 10 people have quit the Weissman post closing department within the last couple of years, and they all quit because of the same person. The manager, hired because she's a relative, has zero real estate knowledge or experience. Doesn't even know the difference between a Warranty Deed, Security Deed or Affidavit. She gets in people's faces and fusses at them, and they can't even go to the bathroom without her running around asking people where they went. I'm surprised she doesn't make them clock out to pee. Then she makes the post closing people stay late and work on weekends because she doesn't understand why the work isn't always finished. You have 14 offices and 5-7 people working on files. Do the math! That small group of people cannot complete that many files in a day, and taking away their home life won't help. Here's a tip - get rid of the clueless manager, or teach her the work so she can help instead of staying home on the weekends while her staff has to come in. read more

I will share the facts and nothing but the facts. The Weissman Law firm had "security" issues, which caused their computers to be locked for over a day. Every time I logged into their website to check on the status of closing documents that I sent them, the site stated that I never submitted the document. The closing agent said that they were having "system" issues and could not retrieve the documents. Finally, they delayed the closing twice because they lost the contact number to the lender. The offices are clean with free wireless, which is why they at least receive one star. I recommend working with another closing agent. read more

Kathye valued my concern and acknowledge the error made by her closing attorney. She took full responsibility to resolve the issue in a timely manner. Hi, I am a real Estate investor and had a closing today at their Dunwoody office. Trudy Gorman was my closing officer. I was told the buyer will be there too which was not correct and they signed at a different office. She was extremely rude, inpatient and not helpful. After I signed the paper work Trudy Gorman did not even staple them or put them in a folder for me and just left the sheets on the table for me to pick up and leave, and I asked her if I could at least get a folder for my documents which she brought me one. They also emailed my agent that all the money will be paid to the seller (me) at closing even though they knew there was another party to sign as the seller the following day and when I asked for my money they said (very carelessly and rudely) "that was a mistake that we had made and your money will be paid to you tomorrow". Trudy was the most unprofessional, careless and rude closing person that I have seen in my entire career. I told them that I would never bring my business to their firm anymore and would like others to be aware of their poor and lousy service too!! read more

Sitting here 20 minutes after my closing was scheduled. About to walk out. But thought I'd kill some time and write a review. Note to businesses, do not give customers free time while they are pissed at your business. Out come the phones for those negative online comments that last forever. The reason for their lateness: they did not have my forms printed (the easiest real estate closing ever) and overbooked. It's the day before a holiday, I have things to do. Why even bother making an appointment at all? What's the point of an appointment if you can't keep it? Someone just came in and said they were almost done printing my forms and it would be "just a few more minutes". The worst is they are acting like this is OK. I informed them it is not and got a perplexed stare. Someone there didn't want to work a few minutes overtime yesterday or come in early today, it's ok to waste client time but not yours. So disrespectful. Now I am going to check my social media or maybe find someplace else to write a review about this 30 minutes I can never get back. And if I'd known it was 30 minutes up front I would've come in 30 minutes later and done something with my valuable time. read more
