If I could give the firm a zero star, I would. Mike Campbell and his team are HORRIBLE. They are grossly incompetent. Who six months after a closing emails the seller and says you owe the buyer $600 because of OUR mistake. Whoops. Well this firm. And why is that - because they forgot to file certain paperwork with MULTIPLE COUNTIES!!! They also forgot to give the buyers paperwork for homestead to reduce the tax bill. And now the buyer should be on the hook for the extra tax bill No way. Buyer - you need put your big girl panties on along with the lawyers taking responsibility for not processing the paperwork timely, causing you to get fines. NOT THE SELLER!!!! They did not properly educate the buyers on the closing. Additional background why C&B deserve a zero: Our buyers went into default. C&B did not follow proper GA protocol to protect the seller. And then made the buyer (us) pay fees when the buyer was willing to. The lowest of low in terms of quality. Always about who is paying the bigger portion of the bill even when the buyer is 1000% at fault. And then to get an email saying you screwed up so the buyer should pay more money. Suck it rich lawyers - you make the mistake, you pay. That's business. The reason you lose customers as a result is because of poor treatment and bad customer service. Most people don't take the time to select a closing attorney for their real estate closing. Most people should. Just had to pay interest on a tax bill because Campbell & Brannon - which was holding onto $675 of my money in escrow to pay said tax bill - now claims they never received the bill. Why did the they just hold onto the money instead of depositing it with the county? I think the answer to that is obvious. Then, they asked me to send them the amount due so they could pay it. All the while continuing to hold on to the $675. No thanks. I paid it directly so I knew it would be done right. So before picking a closing attorney to handle your home sale, do some diligence. Make sure they'll do some work for you and handle your affairs competently. Safe to say I'd never use them again. read more

I was the seller of the house and the buyer hired Camille Brannon, co-owner of Campbell & Brannon, LLC as the closing attorney. Experience with Ms. Brannon led to my conclusion that Ms. Brannon lacks due diligence and professionalism. The closing involved an amount to be paid to a third party. The amount should be calculated according to a specific section of the law. Ms. Brannon obtained an inflated number from that third party and put that number on the paperwork for me to sign. She did not confirm with me on the accuracy of that number beforehand and simply asked me to sign the document on the day of the closing. I refused to signed and asked her to go get an explanation from that third party how he reached that number. Ms. Brannon rushed out of the room, leaving a roomful of people in a long wait. She came back with a substantially smaller number but still, it was incorrect. I asked to speak with the attorney of the third party, but Ms. Brannon said, " I don't have time for this any more." disrespectfully. I flew from out of state to get to the closing and I did not want the trouble of having to fly in again. I signed. I later asked for the explanation of the second calculation and Ms. Brannon sent me a scratch paper with handwriting that is hardly legible, which she produced while she was on the phone call with that third party. Ms. Brannon has all sorts of 'explanations' for her behavior, for example, it is the third party's fault not to give her the number beforehand so that she would have a chance to let me take a look, it was my attorney's job to dispute the amount afterward. I found all that irrelevant---she did not do her job as she was expected to. I also do not believe the disrespectful behavior of Ms. Brannon was due to stress --everyone has a bad day some times, I will give you that. However, in Ms. Brannon's case, she cheerfully announced that she was moving in with someone the minute she stepped into the office. Namely, she was in a cheerful mood that day. With all the above, I consider Ms. Brannon's behavior on the day of the closing a demonstration of her own judgment. read more
