My sale was a tricky one, partly due to me being in the UK and the house having short term rentals booked in the calendar. It was also in a strict, gated community. TJ handled the challenges patiently and professionally and was always very responsive on phone, WhatsApp and email. In the end, multiple offers were received in less than a week and TJ helped select the best. The service didn't end there... In the days and weeks leading up to closing, inevitably some finer points had to be negotiated and TJ chased both the buyer's agent and title company proactively to ensure closing happened on time. I went…read morewith Tab when my husband and I started looking for our dream home while expecting in a tough, competitive seller's market in summer 2023. I looked at over 20 homes with him and we made an offer on one. Tab was really unprofessional, condescending and cocky, and a bad communicator. We were only able to put in offers with the VA loan. Since we were first time home buyers, we didn't know at the time the differences between a VA loan vs. convential and that many sellers/agents didn't want to deal with the extra requirements of a VA loan. Instead of explaining this to us, Tab just assured us he could "convince" the sellers even if they said they weren't accepting VA loans. We just went along with it since he has been in the business a while. However, unsurprisingly, our offer we put in on a really nice home was denied, and we wasted our time since the agent said up front when we asked that he and the seller weren't accepting VA. In fact, the night that we went to the Compass office to put in the offer, Tab told us as we were working on it that in his experience most sellers don't even look at VA offers, especially in a market like this where they get plenty of cash and conventional offers. Why did we waste our time then and get our hopes up??? We couldn't believe how he failed to explain any of that until we were already putting in our offer. After we got denied, we went with another realtor who clarified whether or not VA loan was accepted before even going out and seeing a house, and we were able to get the home of our dreams right after our baby was born for a great deal! Tab was extremely unpersonable and unprofessional, always ran late, and left me out of important communications that he would try to just talk to my husband about, which was also sexist of him. Entrust someone else with your important home searching journey because he's really not cut out to be a realtor.
