I've been coming to Welch Chiropractic for many years. Mark and Marla created an environment focused on, not only what they can provide with adjusting your body according to its needs, but also helpful exercises to do at home for maintenance and strengthening. When their son, Clay, took over he kept the same quality and care that his parents created. Luckily, the visits are quick (who wants to spend an hour+ at a doctor's office?) But they are extremely thorough in making sure that your needs are taken care of. Because of their initial assessment and knowledge they can see what your needs are. However, they always ask if there are any other pains that have come up since the initial assessment and address those quickly and precisely. I used to be a skeptic when it came to chiropractic treatment. I was a non-believer. I first saw Dr. Mark Welch for treatment about two years ago when I was feeling some minor back discomfort. I had a series of several treatments and felt so much better. After my discomfort left I didn't need to have additional treatments. Then one day last summer I woke up with what felt like a kink in my neck. This suspected kink just hung on causing me horrible pain. I decided to make an appointment with Dr. Mark right away. I completed a series of treatments but did not experience any relief. He tried everything he could think of but nothing worked. If you've ever had long-term pain you know how frustrating it can be. You just want it to be over. What really impressed me though was the fact that he came right out and told me that what we were doing was not helping. He recommended I try yoga, which I did and my pain was soon gone. Dr. Mark could have easily kept taking my money and doing treatments but he has too much integrity for that. He also does not perform manual manipulations. He uses a little clicking device along the sides of the spine for the readjustments. Dr. Mark explained that this device is much more precise and less traumatic to the body than manual manipulation. Both Dr. Mark and his wife are chiropractors at Welch Chiropractic Office. I was scared away from the chiropractor last year. My first and last visit consisted of some serious tugging and yanking. So much that I was frightened. The human body isn't supposed to be pulled like that, right??!! Not too mention, I think my head is supposed to stay attached at the neck, or no? Anyhow the husband talked me into trying the chiropractor again, so I headed to Yelp to do some research. We went in to see Dr., please call me Mark, Welch. He was awesome!! He uses a very different technique than I've ever seen. He's great! I am in the middle of a series of treatments because my back is a mess. He's honest and up front. Some stuff can be taken care of with 1-2 treatments, others need a bit more. The husband was feeling pretty damn good after one, figures it would be me with the crazy issues! read more

My back has been a mess... Tried acupuncture, but that just treats the symptom. Gave chiropractic a try, but only because the Welch's don't put the sumo holds on your body. Very impersonal. They don't want to hear what you have to say, you input your issues into a data base, then wait for your spot in a shared room. You even put your own sanitary paper down, this is supposed to be state of the art I guess. Boom bang anything else? Next! I felt like I was being herded and manipulated beyond anything chiropractic and I did not appreciate a slap in the face because I had the need to talk about my condition. I am a person not an animal waiting to be dipped. BUT, the worst of it is this. It took a long time to get coverage for this type of medical benefit. A bargaining unit benefit. In a blinking of an eye, this state of the art practice was able to eliminate my coverage; even bypassing my insurance carrier who did not receive any request for authorization at all. After having bad experiences with several chiropractors I decided to never go to the chiropractor again. That was until I had a pinched nerve that kept me from moving my legs. A friend recommended Welch Chiropractic and promised me that my experience would be different and worth it. I was carried in to their office and I left walking. I have been a loyal and otherwise satisfied patient for 20 years now. In the last few years tho I have noticed the focus of the practice changing. Now you are pumped through like an assembly line. Now you share a single room for adjustment with as many as 4 or 5 individuals in the room. This is you, Mark or Marla, assistant, one other patient on the table and one waiting. You get approx 5 mins of Mark or Marla's time and I feel there have been times when I've come away with either the same amount of pain or even more. All in hopes that you will return at least 2 more times to get any relief. The focus is no longer on patient care and pain relief but on how many people they can pump through in an hour. I would like to say that I recommend this place but after what happen to me cant do it. I went in for back pain and they where able to somewhat fix it still feel pain once in a while but messed up my hand more than it was before. This place does not feel personal with the chiropractor put you in with other people which is uncomfortable also the main reason I gave it one star is that they sent me to collections reason being that my insurance did not pay for my treatment which is understandable but they did not adequately attempt to contact them after I found out I was in collection because of them I call to ask why they didn't know I asked why I was never mailed a bill they said that they did mail but they where returned undeliverable so I asked why didn't they call said they did but I never received a call so I told Lindsey I will be visiting their office to get more details soon after I get a call from the head honcho himself Mark asking why I was going to visit explained myself and he said that their nothing he can help with to deal with collection agency and after that just said im hanging up and that was it credit ruined because someone was too lazy to do their job and head honcho to macho to deal with a customer read more

I can't find a place to say that I'd give a 5 star rating but that's what I'd give to the Welch Chiropractic Office. I originally tried another chiropractor to help my back but couldn't allow myself to be twisted and popped the more common way. Then I found out about Marla and Mark and decided to try their office. Marla (and Mark) use the activator method which is so much easier. Marla takes a device which taps the spine in the places that's needed. No bending, no painful popping. I can't believe that I lived with back pain for so long but no longer. Marla is excellent, compassionate and able to give adjustments and suggestions for helping keep my feeling good. I've tried Mark twice and he's also excellent. read more
