A few weeks back me and my family was in the nearby area and my second born daughter was taking some pride in doing some mural hunting and she spotted this piece and few others in this 3 block radius that I've never noticed before or are brand new. This is a massive and beautiful piece. We believe in you prepare to believe in yourself is a strong Moto and the hands breaking the chains is beautiful symbolism. Overall I am a sucker for murals or public art with positive messages for the community. It's much needed in these rough times. This one delivers that and still sticks out as vibrant and creative.

The mural pictures a very accurate painting of the town roundabout and business that is about 1/4th a mile down the road in the "town" portion of Fairdale. Very accurate mural that even captures the long time Dairy Queen that has served blizzards to Fairdale residents for years. Overall it's always good to see public art in areas. It will be interesting to see if this mural outlasts some of the business down the street and becomes a more historic painting.

There is also a beat up car that looks like the incredible hulk destroyed that is painted up in front of the painting. I'm not sure if this is part of the Art of just a coincidence. It looks to destroyed to be an accident but this is a rougher neighborhood so who knows. My kids and there friends enjoyed it through as you can tell from the pics as I got the "take a pic . Overall solid addition to the local public art scene in Lousiville Kentucky. A few other nearby pieces in the area of you at a mural or public art fan.

I made my own free outdoor art gallery. This piece is on a garage door and seems a bit aged. It is in a somewhat industrial area. I don't know when it was made or who made it. It has a slight sign of vandalism, A bright yellow "B" on it, which may be some type of tag. It is intended to give you the appearance of looking through a tunnel to a windy road. I can see it, but it not as good as some of the other 3D murals that I have seen. There is lots of free street parking available to for you to get out and check out the mural. Be careful though because cars race up and down the street. I guess they have places to be. However, it is not a very long stop anyway and you probably could accomplish what you want to in the comfort of your vehicle. Definitely a must see of Louisville public art. So, as I have mentioned, it is best to plan out stops at many of the other wonderful murals that are within a mile or two and make a day of it.

Me and my friend and fellow yelper Jeremy J spent a Saturday afternoon checking out places and public art in the Shelby park and Nulu neighborhoods when we stumbled upon this piece. We was unable to find an artist and until we got right up on it we could not tell what it said. I do enjoy the green Colors and design of this piece of public art. Overall pretty cool and easy to find mural. Just pop a right outside the doors of Logan street market and stay on the same side of the road and you can't miss it.

Like I could easily be convince that the woman in this mural is suppose to be Cindy Crawford. Located on the side of the Kroger on 26th and Broadway this huge mural over very well done and boasts the message of being proud of being from the neighborhood. The neighborhood has seen more downs than ups and is known as the roughest part of Louisville. Positive messages and togetherness is a great combatant to some of the pitfalls one can endure living here. This mural is part of turning the narrative around and showing pride of being from that area. Overall a great mural that is very visually pleasing and well done. Great message and great art. Beautiful addition to a Westend area that has a rapidity growing public art scene.
