I unfortunately, however, will be searching for a new chiropractor because I feel like I was wasting my time here. I'm pregnant and was constantly expressing my concerns only to be told it was normal because of pregnancy but was not offered any alternative forms of relief. I feel like the doctor just did his five minute adjustment routine as protocol and didn't really listen to me when I expressed constant discomfort of my lower spine. The pain is to the point where I am quite nervous to go into labor. I guess I just wish he would have offered to try other methods of adjustment instead of just sticking to his routine and chalking up all my suffering to be an "unavoidable part of pregnancy." I do understand that there are some things you are going to expect with pregnancy but I didn't seek care to be told it was just how things were going to be, I seek care to find a solution to my pain. In his defense, there is a limitation to what can be done on pregnant women, but I feel like this isn't that surface level. I had completed 2 courses of physical therapy, been given pain medicine, had an MRI and nothing was taking away the pain. My doctor's solution was pain medicine. I prefer a drug-free approach to pain relief, so I requested to see a chiropractor. Hesitantly my doctor agreed. Dr. Kendall worked with my insurance company to get a global referral, after my physician's office said he was not covered. He made an immediate appointment for me and started cold laser therapy. The relief started quickly. I continued seeing him for several months as he continued working to realign my spine and relieve the pain. Throughout this time he managed the paperwork with the insurance company, keeping me out of it as much as possible. Even when the insurance company was not paying the bills Dr. Kendall continued my treatment and treated me with complete professionalism and respect. The insurance paid a portion of what was billed. Dr. Kendall considered that payment in full. Dr. Kendall is a gem. He has a personal attachment to his patients and cares about each one. He understands chiropractic medicine and believes he can help others with his 30+ years experience. He does not ask you to become a weekly patient for realignments. Simply to work with him to create a healthy schedule that will work for you. Every time I came into Dr. Kendall's office I was greeted immediately. No matter what. On more than one occasion, I arrived ahead of my appointment by at least 30 minutes. I still received attention without any wait. He is extremely conscientious of being considerate of other's time. I wasn't informed enough to know Dr. Mary was the gentle one, Dr. Pete the aggressive one who wasted no time to cross the boundary I said was creating a crisis response and to avoid. It cost me to see others undo his work but knowing I was in need I was naive enough to think he'd lighten up. When you're the patient in pain and needing expertise, you tend to hope.....my mistake. My body is sensitive from muscular skeletal misalignment and subluxation and was referred to this office. I left the office 2 different times not being able to take a deep breathe - once the right side, once the left. It's the exact area I told him to stay away from. It's why I wanted to see the records to find what could have been misinterpreted. I don't think anything I shared was heard. Just judged. Fortunately, I was referred me to the best chiropractor I could ask for and we're still undoing damage from my last visit with Dr. Pete from around 1 month ago. It's like the wild wild west among chiropractors who do what they do and in this case, make things worse. There are many to choose from and I'm glad I found the one I don't have to say a thing - they fully know the sensitive areas and what "sensitive" (to be careful, not aggressive) means. Issues could have been avoided, but they don't care, listen or follow up. I was impressed because Milostans are knowledgeable, but for me it was a bad experience and thankfully led me to caring office who is all about customized approach vs fitting into a mold, creating more damage as I found @ Milostan.
