My boyfriend and I booked massages for our stay last weekend. I received the hot stone massage and he received a deep tissue massage. This experience is part of our top 3 massage experiences. We have nothing but great things to say about Well Being. First, we started off by filling out a questionnaire about prior massages we've had, what we like, what we don't like, and any problem areas that we had. We were offered tea to drink while our room was getting prepped. When we went into our room, each of our massage therapists (Elysse and Heidi) talked to us about what we wanted out of our massages. They were both very nice and gave amazing massages! The overall location/rooms were very nice. We enjoyed listening to peaceful music during our massage (instead of people outside the room, which is a complete turnoff for us). Ummm wow what can I say!!?? I literally had the BEST massage here by MARISA ESPINOZA! Ok first things first, we made an appointment for 3 on that same day, but we had some car trouble trying to make it to our appointment. Naturally I called the shop and told them we were working on it, they were very sweet and understanding. After I hung up, they called back and Nick, who works there told us they would be happy to come help us!!!! What!? Talk about CUSTOMER SERVICE!! Luckily we jumped the car and it worked so we rushed over and made it 3 minutes after. I couldn't believe they would offer to do that and I was so appreciative. I can't rave enough. Came up to Tahoe from the Bay for my boyfriends birthday and I wanted to treat both of us to a couples massage and I am so glad I picked this place because I had some corrective work done on my left leg, back area that bothers me almost everyday and left feeling so relaxed and in zero pain. My pain level was at a high before the massage and she really knew how to get into those areas and release the tension. I wish I could find someone back home to do the same techniques! We had a wonderful couple's massage here on Valentine's Day! I was with Aubriana for a deep tissue and she was fabulous!!! This place is amazing. The folks are kind, considerate, and excellent masseuses! We came here as a family to have a family massage day, and had an amazing, relaxing time! :) They made my 80 year old parents feel comfortable and served them hot tea while my husband and i had our massages, and then took good care of my parents on the massage table. It was truly wonderful! Nick was my masseur and he performed an amazing, thorough deep tissue massage. I have had massages in the past, but this massage was one of the best I've ever had! I was able to get in the same day and had a massage with Nick! It was probably one of the best massages I've ever had. I've been massaged for many years and I am pretty picky. He was so good. Hit all the right spots. Absolutely wonderful. You walk into all the crystals and aromatherapy. It smells so good, before you have anything done you're already relaxed. I wish my massage could have been longer, but they were busy. You are greeted by a friendly receptionist and it didn't take long at all for me to go to the back for my massage. He didn't end the massage a few minutes early to make sure I was dressed by the time my hour was up, it's always so annoying when places do that. On a whim my partner and I booked a couple's massage for the same day at Well Being. It exceeded both of our expectations and we both came out saying it was the best massage of our lives! Sarah massaged my partner and I had April. April listened carefully to why I was there and what I wanted paid attention to before the massage began. Afterwards we had a debrief and she said she could tell what my muscles and body needed - it felt like it! It was not just a standard massage, she was really feeling what my body needed from her. She got in deep to some deep-rooted knots and hit some pressure points that made entire limbs tingle! The massage spaces are off of a sweet little shop filled with crystals and stones, aromatherapy, bath salts, and other self-care products. This shop sits opposite Lake Tahoe and has a fantastic view. The staff is laidback and knowledgeable. There is yoga and Buddha inspired home decor. This place smells lovely with all the hand crafted soaps, oils and incense on site. I overheard the staff talking about massages and asked to have one that day. I do wish that there was a large sign that highlighted the massage services for increased visibility, if I hadn't heard the conversation I would not have known that the shop does massages. They were able to squeeze me in an hour later for one of the best massages I've ever had (Swedish, 60min). If you are looking for chill vibes and wellness products in Tahoe this is the place to go to! They also have yoga classes here, I wasn't able to try a class but its nice that this option is available. read more

My therapist was Marisa - she was amazing! When I'm home I usually get a massage about once every 4-6 weeks, but was definitely overdue. Marisa was able to work out my knots, but not with too much force or undue pressure. And the price for a 90 minute massage was quite reasonable for a comparable experience elsewhere. I am not one for the unwanted feedback, but I cannot pass on this experience and not share it. The lady up front was nice and polite, however the "sweedish massage" I received from NICK was THE WORST I have ever gotten. I cannot speak for the other individuals in the staff. I am perplexed reading the other comments in regards to him, because he was so unprofessional, and not thorough with the treatment that I can honestly say I would not want to waste an hour of my time ever again, even if he'll do it for free, or sadly enough....even if the facility would pay me to do it again?! The purpose of a massage is relaxation and release of tension; sadly I could not wait for the time to pass, so I can get up and leave. Although he said at the end "I will see you outside" he did not even have the common courtesy to show up at the end of the session to greet me. I have left the tip with the front desk staff. I have had many massages prior to this, and every single masseuse has shown up at the end of the session and exchanged a couple of words, and greeted me on the way out. Not sure if the session I had with NICK was "subjective" - all I can say is that I left VERY sad, frustrated and unhappy, reason why I am writing this review. The saddest aspect is that I was very much looking forward to it, as a pampering time...which I don't get much?! I was pretty embarrassed to let the lady at the desk know about how bad the entire thing was, but I certainly hope this note will help others in the future...and maybe NICK, himself. read more

She has so many skills that it would be difficult to name them all. She is intuitive about what is going on in the body as there were times she knew certain spots on me that were having trouble before I even knew.
