Brought my Pet Sulcata Tortoise here because he was under the weather and they specialize in exotic animals. They are very knowledgeable which eased my anxiety. he was diagnosed with a respiratory infection and they gave me some shots to take home and administer there. but they also gave me the option to bring him back every few days and they would give him the shot at no extra cost, I took them up on that! he is doing better and I am glad to have found a vet i trust. read more

Unethical and inhumane be aware of THIS VET HOSPITAL. My dog went missing on 04/23. I posted about him everywhere, including on the Neighbors app. A local neighbor informed me that he saw a woman drop off a dog that looked exactly like mine at Welleby Clinic around 3 PM that Friday. The woman clearly stated she had found the dog. When I tried calling the clinic that same day, they were already closed, so I contacted them the next morning. Someone from the clinic texted me back, asked a bunch of questions about my dog, and then told me they had not found any dog matching his description. I believed them and updated my post, assuming they were telling the truth. However, the same neighbor who initially contacted me called again, insisting he was certain it was my dog and that the woman had said she found him, not that she was claiming ownership. Apparently, if someone leaves a dog at the clinic, they have to claim it as their own. I didn't give up. I kept texting and even offered a reward. Eventually, I found out they had been lying the entire time - they did have my dog, but chose to lie because they wanted money. The kind people who originally found my dog were made to pay for unnecessary procedures like blood work and fecal exams instead of the clinic reporting the found dog properly. This clinic lies repeatedly and is only interested in money. When my mom went in person to ask about my dog, the staff was extremely rude - one man even slammed the door in her face. Avoid this place at all costs. Horrible service and horrible people. read more

Thank you for doing your best. Today marks the third week since my buddy cat "Cooper" had to be put down. Everyone at Welleby was wonderful and very supportive. Special thanks to Elizabeth. She was the first person I met there and the last when I took his ashes home. The results of the cremation were very thoughtful and of highest quality. Nothing is inexpensive these days but they did everything to minimize. We are older with fixed incomes so we appreciated their concerns. I keep reminding myself that "only the living feel pain". Sometimes that helps but not always. read more

Welleby Vet Hospital is amazing! They helped my baby kitten Dolce after I adopted her from Good Karma pet rescue. The foster mom was amazing & the rescue helped me every step of the way. Unfortunately, when I applied for my kitten she had been placed in a Petco cattery to improve her chances of adoption. Even though my kitten was in the cattery for maybe 24 hours total thanks to the quick process from the rescue coordinator and the foster mom. Due to this fact, my kitten was unknowingly exposed to feline herpes. 4 weeks later, my kitten was lethargic, her eye was tearing. I knew something was wrong. Welleby was on Good Karma's list of vets! I'm thankful because they were willing to squeeze me in at a moments notice one they heard her symptoms. Dr. Zimandy helped my kitten get back to full health! I'm super thankful to the staff for this and I've used them for boarding when I've gone out of town. I also am using them to get my son's new kitten up to date on vaccinations. I trust Dr. Zimandy to give me all the options for care for my animals and to have great bedside manner with animals and with their humans who are concerned about our beloved pets. read more

I've had my Cockatiel for 12 years and last week was the 1st time I had to take him to a Vet for a limp foot. On Thursday afternoon, I searched for an Exotic/Avian Vet near me and found Welleby. I made the on-line appt. for Monday. Five minutes later, I received a call from them to come in that same day after work because they were worried about Birdie's foot. Do not come here for emergency test results!!! This place owes me $1,000! Made a urgent appointment for my sick cat. After discussing multiple different routes for treatment it was ultimately decided to get same day results. There must have been a mixed up with the staff and I never received my same day results. Being that I work over the weekends and the fact that they are only open for a few hours I was only able to call them about three times each day until I finally received a response on Monday. By Monday I already need it to get my cat treatment elsewhere not having time to wait for the same day results I had paid for. Finally after getting a hold of the office on Monday I told them I no longer needed the test results and to not send it to the lab. After speaking with a very condescending gentleman it became apparent that my lab work was done and no one contacted me. He kept stating that I was refusing results when I kept correcting him telling him that I paid for same day results and it has been 72 hours since then. They straight out refused a refund the money that I desperately needed to help get my cat medication and hospitalization. They said that they can give me 30% back because I got my results and they did their job according to them. I obviously did what anyone else would do and dispute it with the bank. Unfortunately since this is a medical matter I never received my money back. I not only never received my test results but I never got the money back I needed for medication. They withheld test results and refused to refund me necessary money needed for medication and medical Care in general. I will be taking any necessary cautions to prevent this from happening to anyone else please be warned. If you have an emergency do not come here! I can never forgive these people for what they have done. If my cat would have died this would definitely be a story on the news... Your pets are part of your family you do anything and everything to get them medical attention when they need it clearly this place doesn't understand. Reading the reviews you guys say you are compassionate but where's the compassion when I so desperately needed that money to get my cat medical attention? If you were going to a deny it at least give me back my money. We are talking about a life here not an object or a wrong order. I was charged over $1,000 for medical care that I never received. It's devastating. Though it's my fault for going into debt I would never deny my pet's medical Care. Grow some compassion. Uploaded some photos of the invoice I received and the promise I was given in writing that it would be done in house to receive same day results. read more

DO NOT TAKE UR PET HERE FOR ANY EMERGENCY, THEY WILL DIE, THEY DO NOT CARE ABOUT UR PET!! MY PET IS DEAD AFTER SPENDING $800. I took my 3.5 yr old rabbit here because he was having breathing problems, he was already in G.I. stasis which I made them aware of, but I told them he's suddenly started having breathing problems which he's never had during G.I. Stasis. They told me his lungs looked fine and everything looked fine besides the gas in his stomach which I've treated many times. They never explained why he was breathing heavy through his mouth. But they told me he would be stable especially with the medicine they already gave him, they said worst case scenario if he somehow got worse I would need to hospitalize him tomorrow so they can watch him overnight. They even sent me home with 2 weeks worth medication because they didn't think I would need to come back. They didn't do their due diligence to check all of him or make that decision that he needed to be hospitalized overnight on oxygen. Not even an hour later my poor baby suffered a seizure and died in my arms, I couldn't even f*cking use the medication!!! please if you love your fur babies avoid this place for any emergencies. Brought my rabbit here for the first time. Very impressed how fantastic all the staffs were. I felt very welcomed. The gentleman who took my appointment was very nice. The vet tech was so friendly and she handled my baby very gently even tho my baby got scared and ran/ jumped all over the exam room. The vet was super kind and professional. She's not one of those vets who push you to get things that not necessary done with your fur baby. So our pup was having bad breath and really dirty teeth and a loose tooth. This was local and highly rated amongst my peers so we decided to make an appointment for a checkup for our pup. The staff were really friendly; the front desk woman was so warm and welcoming, with a great smile. We got in quickly and the vet tech was going over what they will be checking. They took some blood work and we requested for nail trimming. They were thorough, quick, and welcoming. The veterinarian was so nice and professional. She went over what she was going to do during the procedure. She said our dog will be under light sedation. They provided us with the medication pre and post operation as well as directions. Our dog was out of it for a couple of days after the surgery but she is fine now. Her breath no longer smells and her teeth are sparkling white. We had great customer service here and results so we are planning to use this as our go to vet. They also provide dog boarding. The lot is pretty big and the office is large and clean. Clyde (my Great Dane) and I love Welleby. Clyde is on constant allergy medication and they have been so helpful. Everyone is very nice and although Clyde is shy, he loves them. I have boarded him many times and he always comes back safe and sound, after other boarding places, he would have cuts or scrapes from other dogs being too rough. Went on 8/21/21 for a checkup and blood work. Waited 20 minutes before being seen while other customers were taken in ahead. Additionally, staff working that day gave favorable treatment to other customers and acted like my dog and her needs were not important. Finally get to the room, and the assistant had the wrong reasons for why we came. Another vet checked out my dog but did not have her chart to know what was happening with my dog. My dog has a heart murmur and the vet couldn't even check to see! I have been coming here for several years and never had issues such as these. She took her time explaining why my cat could be experiencing his symptoms, and discussed ways to treat it and prevent future issues. Awesome hospital for reptiles!!! I searched and searched for a veterinarian who not only saw but KNEW, distinctly about turtles. My turtle needed immediate care as I had a feeling he had a respiratory infection, and they were able to see me as a walk in, without an extended wait! Kindest people, and very intelligent doctor. Sorry, this is going to be a long one, but it is worth it. My family's experience with Welleby Veterinary Center: I have two dogs. A twelve years old Yorkie and a two years old Papillon; so I have been to a few different veterinarians over the years. One Saturday morning, about three months ago, my Papillon woke up having very bad seizures that wouldn't stop. I raced over to the first vet I could find open at eight in the morning. The doctor wasn't supposed to be in until ten, but instead of making me wait, they called him and he was saving my dog within ten minutes. The outlook was grim. It took a lot to stop the seizures. I was a Total mess. They got the seizures under control and observed her for six hours. She was totally sedated (as she should have been) and still leaning to the left when I took her home. I took her home because when I told them I couldn't afford anything else, they understood. They gave her an IV line (just in case she had to come back) and set up her scripts to be filled at my local pharmacy. They said they would call me later to check on her. DR. WILLIE CALLED TWICE THAT NIGHT, FOUR TIMES THE NEXT DAY (SUNDAY) AND FOUR TIMES THE NEXT DAY (Monday, which was Memorial Day!! He shouldn't have even been working)! I mean what doctor does that!! My children's doctors doesn't even do that. With the doctor's care she was seizure free for about three months. Last night, she had breakthrough seizures for the first time. I couldn't control them with the medicine Dr. Willie had been monitoring her on, so I eventually took her to the local emergency vet hospital. They were very nice and helpful but when I couldn't afford their treatment options, which ranged from $500 to $1300, they started talking euthanasia. I couldn't handle that at two in the morning! I asked them to give her give Valium and let me get her to her vet as soon as the office opened. Thankfully they agreed and sent me home. So this morning, I just walked in, no appointment, to Dr. Willies office. Without dropping a beat they took the best care of us I could ask for. They sat with me and discussed the best treatment options that was the most cost efficient. I spent less than an eighth of what it would have cost at the ER vet (I know they cost for more other reasons but hope you get my point). Thankfully, my little one is home resting now. Welleby Vet Center is nothing short of the best anyone could ask for in a Veterinarian. By far the best I have experienced. I would like to specially thank Dr. Willie's Vet Tech Jeff, who never fails to impress me with his kindness, compassion and service. Jeff and everyone else in this office is wonderful! Last, and maybe most important, they never made me feel bad for being in a panic over my dogs condition or for my two young kids being restless during the visits. This is the best experience I have had with a veterinarian by far. read more

I now have a beautiful cat - Mooshie - and have the pleasure to use Welleby's Vet Center again. The staff has the same wonderful, friendly, caring demeanor as always.......and the Doctor's are the same - very thorough and informative. I trust my pet in their care at all times, and would recommend them to everyone. There are a lot of vets out there, and I can say from past years of experience that all are not the same.
