I've suffered from heavy menstrual cycles for the past few years. My Kaiser doctor suggested that I try an IUD to slow down the bleeding and, because I trusted my doctor, I decided to try it. A month later, I went back to the doctor and learned that I had developed a cyst in my left ovary in addition to the multiple fibroids in my right ovary that I was already suffering from. The doctors then said the cyst could possibly be cancerous because of the color.
