Warning Review for Venclexta (Venetoclax)…read more I was prescribed Venclexta by my oncologist Dr Rosen at Hematology Oncology in Fort Pierce Florida, after 12 years of being under their care. After about a month on the medication, I began experiencing serious side effects: * Skin discoloration * Severe illness and fatigue * Hair loss * Two new tumors in my groin area I reported these symptoms to the nurse, but I was told to "just keep taking it." I became increasingly sick and went to St. Lucie Medical Center for evaluation. Despite this, my oncologist insisted I not stop the medication. Out of concern, I called the manufacturer directly (AbbVie). They immediately told me to stop taking Venclexta and inform my doctor. This contradicted what my oncologist had advised and confirmed my fear that something was very wrong. This medication may help some, but my experience was deeply harmful--both physically and emotionally. What was worse than the side effects was the lack of proper medical response when I needed help the most. Please be cautious. Trust your instincts. If you're experiencing severe side effects, advocate for yourself, and seek a second opinion. Venclexta is powerful--but not without serious risks.

The drama once the injections were completed between the 2 individuals that worked there was laughable. The licensed individual injected, called the receptionist in and they went all smiles commenting "oh what a difference", along with many other comments. I made an appointment for the following week in attempt to either correct the problem or discuss why the procedure didn't work and was met with a rude and unprofessional reaction. No understanding, no suggestion of a fix except to say "well we'll have to do more injections" which equates to "more money". Just such a rip off. Make sure you go to your own dermotologist !!!

It is one of those "early detection is key" ok fine. Everyone at this facility was great. I was checked in promptly, quickly called back, greeted by a friendly nurse and got my bed for the procedure. The anesthesiologist visited first, respectively asked me about my concerns, allergies etc. Then my doctor for my procedure was next, I was ready, I was prepared. It was time for me to go in. Once I was wheeled into the surgical room, the anesthesiologist assistant knelt by my bedside and told me he was administering the "sleep" medication while looking in my eyes. This may seem small but for a nervous patient, this was very heart warming to me. My procedure was successful and over before I knew it. If I ever have to get anything again, I will go here.
