It had everything you need and what they had was top notch. *AMBIANCE* Cozy, elegant, and stylish. There is some history to this place and you can tell two things: 1) It is family owned and they are taking good care of the place, and 2) the interior decoration is outstanding and they family put a lot of effort into getting it to where it is. Overall, the place is very quiet, peaceful, and a great place to relax. *SAUNAS* Their saunas met the mark with a high margin. The hot sauna is hot! The infrared sauna makes you sweat! The low heat sauna is great for relaxing! The water pool - cold! The steam room - great for skin cleansing and relaxing. They were all kept very clean! *ETIQUETTE* No clothes of any kind allowed in the saunas. Place your towel under you to cover your full body and to capture your sweat. Saunas and dressing room are co-ed, in fact the entire place is co-ed. Behave respectfully and politely. Ask the staff for any clarification, as they were super polite, helpful, and kind. When you check in you get a fluffy robe and slippers. You can shower. Linger from room to room. And get in the zone for whatever treatment you're going to get. Even though the location is crazy hectic, once you're in there and in your robe you completely forget you're in the heart of the city. I went in for a facial and it did not disappoint. I usually find that many of the facials in Amsterdam are just an application of various products and are not very clinical. This was not the case at all. You could have eaten lunch off of my face it was that clean and smooth! The arm and leg massage was a pleasant surprise. (I asked her during the massage, she said 2 years - quite new for an LMT) I also should have gone running when I mentioned I had plantar fasciitis (a very common condition) and she thought that was "an infection". She was very nice but unfortunately the massage was a complete waste of the small amount of time and money I had. Her hands were shaking by the end of the 45 minutes with only moderate pressure. She joked that "probably no pressure was too deep for me", but that's definitely not true. She just wasn't able to do it. She told me she only does relaxation massages. Really, this is the manager's fault for giving me a relaxation therapist instead of being honest and saying they didn't have any deep tissue therapists available. Would have appreciated some honesty instead of wasting my time and money. Super disappointing experience :(

I left to the place she pointed at which was a restaurant and they had no idea what i'm talking about. Not to mention it was night (~8pm) and freezing cold. I had to leave my belongings inside the massage place because they were pretty heavy and while waiting in the crowded restaurant and bring in the way of employees and people i was worried about losing my personal items. At the end when i got back we made a deal : i had 40 euros and an hour massage was 50 euros. They offered to give me 40mins massage (which is unfair i was short €10, why not give massage for 50 minutes instead?) i think they saw how desperate i was after waiting and hustling around the streets for an atm and offered the lowest they could. And the end the most unpleasant experience was the male masseuse who while giving a massage would creepily peeked from the edge of the certain and check me out. I could tell he just was thinking i'm going to steal a product from them. Again Pooh massage and customer service was staler and if it was just her I would give her a 5, but the other employees were really off and made the experience extremely stressful for me. In response to the owner's message: they said we only accept local card : my card does have a chip but they did not even bother to check. The employee said there is an atm and did not tell me where exactly. This caused me a lot of trouble. I did not day anything about the closing time or complained about it. The fact that your respond mentions it and talks about it in length suggests you only responded to pretend you care about the customer feedback and not really care what the feedback is about hence I'm goi g to review this place with even a lower rate.
