Then I realized that I had to see a dr. The only thing I has easy access was google. After reading previous feedback. Thought we would take the chance. We took a cab to the clinic. I went in and explained my situation. Ya at that moment I realized. My health insurance from the states was not really valid. Long story short. I was really happy that these folks were able to see me with in 30 mins and write me a prescription. I was able to get filled in the same building. Granted we paid cash, was happy that these folks worked with this tourist to get a dr visit. Dr. Gahly was very knowledgeable and understood right away the problem! Thank you for caring!

Dr. Ajayi was our family physician. From the beginning of our interactions, I experienced what I…read moreperceived as a rude, dismissive, and unprofessional attitude during appointments. On one occasion, I was trying to translate for my brother because he has limited English proficiency. The doctor interrupted and insisted that he answer questions on his own. On another visit, when my mother tried to help me answer a question during my appointment, the doctor stated that only I should respond and said that if my mother continued speaking for me, she would have to leave the examination room. My mother had a painful skin lesion on her leg for about six months. At the first appointment, the doctor examined it, identified it as a mole, and said it could be removed at a follow-up visit. We returned as scheduled and waited for some time. However, during the follow-up appointment, she unexpectedly said it was not a mole but an ingrown hair and advised my mother to go to a cosmetic clinic and pay for removal. I pointed out that she had previously said it was a mole and expressed that, in my opinion, it did not appear to be an ingrown hair. In response, the doctor stated, "Are you going to teach me how to do my job?" Later, my mother sought a second opinion from another physician, who confirmed that it was not an ingrown hair but another type of condition. During the same period, we requested referrals to specialists: a dermatologist for my mother and an ENT specialist for me, due to ongoing breathing difficulties. The doctor told us that the referrals would be sent directly to the specialists, so we were not given copies. Over the following weeks, I repeatedly called the clinic to check whether my ENT referral had been submitted. I was given different explanations each time: sometimes I was told there was a backlog, and other times no one answered the phone. When I called again because my breathing issues were ongoing and I wanted to see a specialist as soon as possible, I was informed that Dr. Ajayi had refused to send the referral, stating that she believed I had been rude to her. I was also told to find a different clinic and a new family doctor. I strongly disagree with this characterization. From the beginning, I treated the doctor with respect. However, I believe that patients have the right to ask questions, clarify contradictory medical information, and advocate for their health or the health of their family members. My intention was never to be rude; I was simply raising concerns and seeking appropriate medical care. Unfortunately, throughout our time as her patients, my family and I felt that our concerns and health issues were not taken seriously. We often did not receive adequate attention or follow-up for our medical concerns. As a result, my entire family decided to transfer to a different family physician. I understand that finding a family doctor is not easy, and I do believe that physicians deserve respect. However, respect must be mutual. Patients also deserve professional, respectful, and attentive care, and their medical concerns should be addressed properly and in a timely manner. Throughout my experience, I believe I remained respectful; when I raised concerns, it was only in response to conflicting information or what I perceived as inappropriate handling of medical issues. Advocating for one's health is not disrespectful--it is a necessary part of patient care.

*starts smashing keyboard in a blind fit of rage*…read more Okay, now that this is out of my system, I will explain why I go into a blind fit of rage whenever I think of this place. The blonde receptionist. You evil, evil, EVIL creature. You may possibly be the bane of my existance. Back story: I have allergies. BAD allergies. Like "Hey, I have a constant sinus and lung infection" bad. I'm allergic to cats, dogs, dust mites, mold and mildew. So this is all year round. So I started getting allergy shots in January of 2009. I always came here because this is the only clinic in Welland, I think. The receptionist from hell didn't work here then, so everything was great. Since an injection seriously takes two minutes to do, patients who require an injection are bumped ahead. Wham, bam, DONE. I believe the first witch from Macbeth started working at the clinic in August, and now I dread the days where I require my shot. My wait went from less than 10 minutes to get my shot, to average 30-45 minutes. EVERY.FREAKING.TIME. If I had a car, this may not be such a big deal because I can go whenever I want. But NO. I am a bus commuter, so the vast majority of the time I am stuck waiting a half an hour for the bus to come by again, because this evil woman always manages to time it so that I am leaving JUST AFTER the bus pulls out of the little terminal. I have to wait fifteen minutes after my shot (to make sure I don't go into anyphlactic shock and die) so I can always be found after my shot scratching my painfully itchy arm with my nose pressed wistfully against the glass as my ride to freedom abandons me for another half hour. I am SO glad I am moving and will never have to deal with this place again. The worst part about this hag is that she was supposed to do a referral for a friend of mine to a specialist. She told her "Ok, I'll send it off." No keyboard tapping or anything to indicate that she was actually doing her job. So we just took her at her word. BAD IDEA. It's been a few months I think, and this referral was never done. I miss Holly, the GOOD receptionist. You don't work enough. :P The doctors are usually good. My favourites are Dr. Singh and the female doctor I can never remember the name of (sorry!). Damn you to hell, evil receptionist. Damn you to hell.

Whatever I web checked in this time and told me to arrive at 1132 when I got there there was a line up and no one at the desk she was talking to someone in the back -- I could hear her --anyways when she gets up and finally I get to my spot she tells me in 13 min late and I will lose my spot -- I explained how I was here and waiting but she said I was lying and I hadn't been there that long that no one ever had to wait that long 13 min -- perhaps she was afraid to be reprimanded for taking to long to attend to patients I don't know how she figured she knew when she wasn't there when I walked in -- so sent me away and told me to recheck in and now I have to wait 3 more hours for an urgent matter -- I'd rather wait in emerge than deal with that bi@&) If you hate your job get a new one

They always verify with me if it is ok to text, mail, leave a voicemail. I appreciate that. I have been a long time patient of Evergreen and do not trust my care with anyone else. From primary care staff, specialty care staff, to pharmacy services personnel, all physicians and nurses, and all other employees including those behind the scene, I watched them grow from a small one doctor practice into an awesome large revamped multi-specialty building still treating the same community....and then even more. I am also concerned about the unprofessional behavior I have experienced. Deanna has repeatedly spoken to me in a scolding and disrespectful manner, which is inappropriate. In addition, Ryan has failed to return my calls or respond to my concerns despite multiple attempts to contact him by phone and in person. I expect these issues to be investigated and addressed promptly. Please provide a response regarding the actions that will be taken to resolve these concerns.
