Significant Operational, Clinical, and Sanitary Deficiencies at Aspen Dental…read moreI am writing to formally document severe operational, clinical, and administrative deficiencies at this Aspen Dental location. A reputable dental practice relies on systemic efficiency, stringent clinical compliance, and clear communication, yet this location fails to meet baseline industry standards across multiple areas. During my visit, I observed staff removing instruments from the autoclave prior to the completion of the full cycle and leaving them to air-dry outside the unit, which constitutes a direct violation of standard sterilization protocols and compromises patient safety. Furthermore, the physical facility shows visible signs of neglect, and the care itself feels entirely transactional and rushed, often resulting in prolonged wait times for a minimal, brief evaluation by the provider. The high turnover of rotating dentists has resulted in highly inconsistent treatment plans that are altered arbitrarily with each new provider, eliminating any confidence in the clinical oversight of this practice. This lack of organizational stability is mirrored in the office culture; the sole consistent clinician on staff demonstrated highly unprofessional behavior, including unhygienic practices and verbally reprimanding staff in front of patients, while the office manager appears too overwhelmed to maintain basic oversight or professional decorum. Although the dental hygienist was a notable exception and performed his duties with excellent professionalism and care, the remaining staff exhibited a palpable friction that directly impacted the patient atmosphere. Compounding these issues is an aggressive and inappropriate internal pressure to solicit five-star reviews from patients--even following interactions with dismissive staff--which appears designed to artificially inflate the location's online reputation rather than address systemic service failures. These combined issues represent significant corporate liabilities and a failure of operational leadership, and I strongly urge regional management to intervene and audit this facility

I have never written a bad review before, so knowing that I even had such a terrible experience…read morethat I feel compelled to do so is a shock to me. For those of you who do not want to read the full story I am about to post, just know that I advise against visiting this practice for any sort of dental care. For those of you who are interested in knowing what happened, it started with me chipping my tooth a few weeks back. I had been to the dentist office prior for a tooth cleaning, but I never met the actual dentist and owner of the practice. The secretary, and the dental hygienist were both wonderful women who cared about the patient's needs and concerns. There is no issue there. After I set up my second appointment for my chipped tooth to get fixed and to get my teeth cleaned, they pushed my appointment back twice. Okay, no big deal but I did have to wait three extra weeks with my front tooth chipped and sensitive to air and beverages. So I finally go in for my dental cleaning today which went fine until I went to see Dr. Corter. The first thing that I noticed is how severely outdated all of his equipment is. All of the tools, and even the chairs looked like something that would be displayed in a museum. So I sit down in the chair and wait patiently for Dr. Corter to come look at my chipped tooth. I was then told that he lives in the same building that he practices out of, and I noticed that he was in his home doing whatever while I- a paying patient was waiting in his char. He finally comes in, and doesn't even introduce himself before he starts jamming tools into my mouth. I have ALWAYS enjoyed going to the dentist prior to this, but he was thrashing the metal tools around in my mouth so carelessly that I'm surprised I didn't leave this visit with another chipped tooth. So he tells me that the tooth cannot be bonded and that he would shave the chip off instead. I knew this was wrong because I have encountered problems like this in the past, and the dentist was always able to fix it no questions asked. So without saying anything else to me he walks out of the room, back into his own home. I tell the secretary that I am unhappy with my visit and I want my tooth to be fixed. The secretary got him back into the room where he proceeded to start yelling at me. He told me that I was sick in the head for wanting something so superficial fixed. He also proceeded to tell me that I should just find some guy with sandpaper to sand it down for me. He was extremely condescending and rude, literally yelling at me in his office. I have never had such a horrendous experience at a medical practice before. This man is CLEARLY outdated in equipment, as well as dental medicine. After my visit with him I promptly cancelled all future appointments because I simply cannot and will not support a practice that does not put the patient's care and health first. I have always taken wonderful care of my teeth and take tremendous pride in my smile. A smile is one of the first characteristics you notice about a person. The fact that he failed as a dentist to make me love my smile and have the confidence back that my chipped front tooth took away is troublesum. I strongly urge against going to this practice for your own public health. My tooth is still chipped and I will now have to go to a more modern practice who implements the importance of the patient in their business. Thank you for reading.
