I had just been in Utica for a couple of weeks and got a terrible sinus infection (August 28th) Went the Virtual appointment route, took a bit of time navigating the website (when you're sick everything is harder) Anyway, got a wonderful nurse who was very nice my meds were called into the local Walmart (they were great)! I brought a friend into the New Hartford office on Sunday. He had deeply cut his hand while trimming a bush. Blood was everywhere and we stopped the excessive bleeding and went to Wellnow. He was greeted by being advised since his insurance was Medicaid, he would not be treated or looked at as they do not accept this insurance. Well if you think of Urgent Care which WellCare has the market on they would take Medicaid. Rather they refused to do anything and suggested he go to Wynn Hospital. ARE YOU KIDDING ME????? Not even to assist him in some humane way, I treat animals better. There billing dept is an absolute disaster. I have extremely good healthcare being a state employee. They had an issue with being able to pay my co pay. The link sent to my phone finally worked. My responsibility is $30. I paid both co pays at the time of visit. The receptionist did not tell me about the credit card authorization form. It was disguised as hippa and patient consent to treat. They have been taking weekly automatic payments out of my account. I have paid for over $180 extra for my $60 patient responsibility. Their billing call center is in India and is absolutely no help. "They said there refund team will review and decide if I get a refund". That was today 5/7/26. The last call on April 24th I have on recording that I am apparently current and I will not be charged anymore. Guess what. They scheduled another automatic payment for $60 on 5/10/26. Steer clear. They are a dumpster fire. Or don't use a debit card, use a credit card so you can dispute it. read more

My husband came in with blood shot red eyes that were very irritating and uncomfortable to the point he could not drive and we made an appointment we were the second and only patients when we first arrived and our appointment was at 2:36pm the time is 4:02pm and we still have not been seen. Just know even if you have an appointment you will be wasting your entire day here for a doctor to look at you for a minute and send you your way. Beware of fraudulent charges after your visit! They charged me $175 the day I was there just to give me a $30 splint for my hand. Then 2 weeks later someone manually entered my card for another $150 charge without my consent! This place is doing shady things in the financial department! Went to Wellnow at the direction of my prospective employer for a drug screening. The appointment had been set up two weeks prior to my arrival. When I got to Wellnow in North Utica, I waited 5 minutes for the receptionist to get done playing with her phone until I was rudely greeted. I told her why I was there, and she told me there was no appointment in my name. After calling the employment agency, they not only gave me the name of the person they talked to, they also told me where they would find the FedEx package. Now this threw everything into disarray, because they couldn't just blow me off. Their expert fix? They can't cut hair for a follicle test, and I needed to drive 30 minutes across town in rush hour to go to ANOTHER Wellnow where they could perform the procedure. This is the most unprofessional medical environment I've ever encountered, and I've had VA healthcare for 20 years. How this place is still open still baffles my brain. read more

Went at opening at 8 am and didn't get out until 11:30. Went in with major abdomen and back pain and they made me sit in a room for 3 hours just so i could have a tele-appointment with a "provider" and the only thing they did was check vitals and tell me I had to go to the ER. I am not paying for that visit. Making me sit all damn day without a word from anyone while I'm in extreme pain. I seriously feel like calling a lawyer regarding this neglect. NEVER AGAIN. read more

Watch your billing. Went on 10-12-24 and paid the required co-pay. On 11-20-24 noticed that Wellnow deducted $49.49 out of our bank account on 11-18-24, without our knowledge or permission. Called to see if this was actually them or a fraudulent charge. When asked who authorized the charge they stated that we did. Ummmm, we haven't been there in a month and paid our co-pay at time of service. They firmly stated that we signed the paper giving them authorization to take out money. Yes, for the co-pay on the date of service. They said that because we gave them the authorization they can take money out even if your not there and without your signature. Then to make matters even better it was discovered that they made two accounts with the same name. I wonder how long that's been and how much they made off of that? Needless to say we are only getting $30 reimbursed and that our co-pay didn't cover the bill. Yeah okay! NEVER will we go to another Wellnow!!! read more

I went here a couple weeks ago with a work related injury, was put on a waiting list, and wasn't seen for an hour and a half. When they did see me, the care was decent, but then they sent my prescription to the wrong place, and even the wrong state. When I called to get it corrected, I was told the receptionist would tell the doctor when he came in an hour later. Five hours pass and I go to my pharmacy and, low and behold, my prescription wasn't there. I call back and am told she forgot to tell the doctor. This was eventually corrected. Now, my boss needs the paperwork to fill out an accident report. I called to request it be sent to me, so I can send it to my boss, but the same receptionist tells me that my boss needs to request it. When he did call, they refused to give him the paperwork. I had to call back to request it be faxed to me so I can hand walk it to my boss. Hopefully, whenever they fix their fax machine, this whole nightmare will be over and I will NEVER have to deal with this place again. GOOD RIDDANCE! read more

Quick service, poor listening skills. I told the RN my complaints of nausea and vomiting for 12 hours , reiterated the same complaints to the NP. The NP spoke to me for 2 minutes and listened to my lung sounds, she came back in to give me prescriptions for coughing and congestion......I did not come in for that. Waste of time. read more

May 31, 2019 I went in for sinusitis. I explained to the nurse practitioner I had it. She spent about 5 minutes with me. Mainly asking about my mother's health. Who by the way loves in Alabama. Never been there. The np decided I needed a ct scan, ekg, stress test, and cardiac enzyme work and then told me " we don't do dizzy here" I never spoke to or saw a dr. They couldn't do blood work and then she had me decline transport by ambulance. After I told her she was scaring me I went to St. Elizabeth hospital... they were laughing because they couldn't believe I was sent as a cardiac patient. Because of the lack of service I received at well now I now have a 2200.00 medical bill. I've ask several times to speak with the owner. No one will respond. My medical diagnosis aT St. Elizabeth was sinusitis. Absolutely a terrible experience. She had no idea what she was doing other than to scare patients into thinking they are cardiac. I'd recommend finding a different place if you are sick. They have no idea what they are doing there. read more

First of all, it is impossiblr to contact this Urgent Care Clinic as the ONLY phone # to call is 315-279-3214 as all you will get is a busy signal or they have the phone off the hook! I went to their office on Genesee st., N. Utica, NY to get tested for the Virus 19 on Monday, 5/18/20. They took a blood sample and 4 pieces of paper stating I would be called within 24 hours if my test resulted in a positive (meaning it was urgent) or if it was negative, I would be contacted "shortly". Today is Sunday, 5/24/20 and FINALLY a man left a message on my voice mail at 7:15 AM to return his call - which I started to do since 10 AM (it is now NOON) and their phone is still ringing with a busy signal. There is NOT Voice Mail for this "Urgent Care facility " where you can leave a message so all you are left with is a great deal of frustration and no call backs ever made.
