The Wells antique centre is situated a little way out of the centre of town - down where the old railway station used to be. In fact I think the building itself is an old railway shed or something similar. It's a wonderful place if you're interested in antiques and like to have a rummage about looking for a bargain as it's slightly chaotically laid out and you're encouraged to handle the goods. There's a lot of old furniture, tables, chairs etc - but the goods on sale change all the time so you never know what you're going to stumble across. The prices are very good I reckon - we recently bought a set of four oak dining chairs from them for £40 - and the service is very friendly. read more
