Since our son has been enrolled, we have noticed a huge difference in his vocabulary. He is so talkative and expressive, and I believe that LHP has had a huge influence on that. Our son looks forward to playing with his friends every day. It can be stressful to find a childcare provider that you feel comfortable with and trust leaving your child with, I can say that while our son is at LHP, I know he is cared for and learning! Miss Reena has a 25 year experience in taking care of children from infancy through the pre-school years, and it shows. From our very first interaction we felt safe in the knowledge that our daughter will be in good hands in a healthy, safe, and structured environment conducive to learning and development, not just a "parking lot" for babies during the workday. We were given an after-hours, thorough tour of the facilities prior to enrolling, and we were impressed by the meticulous care with which everything is done, from the Montessori/Phonics methods of learning for all children, to the great variety of play/learning stations, the various activities offered, and the seemingly odd conviction (from a business perspective) to choose a smaller number of children receiving exceptional care and education over a larger number of children without this personalized attention. We have seen enormous changes in our daughter's development in less than two months, with much greater independence in play, improved confidence in exploring the world around her under supervision, as well as practical improvements such as sleep and eating, and we can directly attribute every single improvement to the tireless work of Miss Reena. Although there are no "fancy" offerings such as video surveillance and smartphone apps, parents of both infants and toddlers have open lines of communication in realtime via WhatsApp channels, and a daily personalized report during drop-off and pick-up to address any issues/concerns and offer invaluable advice on everything childcare-related. We have seen from other parents that they completely trust LHP with their children for all their formative toddlerhood and preschool years, and although our daughter is not old enough for the complete learning experience yet, we can definitely understand the strong bond parents and babies feel to LHP. I LOVE the teachers, the small classroom size, the nurturing of my children. I really can't say anything negative. I'd say the only thing I missed, which could just be me, but the parents don't interact at all with other parents. Now maybe it's because I didn't go to that church or live in that neighborhood but they just had no more than 2 sentences to say to me. She is on her third teacher and when I came to pick her up the teacher told me she was sitting in ants and was crying and someone came to her. But nothing was done about it. No apology, no solution, and just a shrug of the shoulders was what we got in response to all of her ant bites. This all stems from Mr. Headley who is the director's father-in-law and he is a leader at good Shepherd Lutheran Church. I also know many people that used to work there and got fired by him and have many stories to tell you about how crooked he is and this business is. If I could attach all the smart Alec and nasty rude emails he sent in response to a logical concern I would. And I'm not sure why he would respond instead of the director but the director ended up staying out of the whole thing and was not there when my husband went to talk to him. We were kicked out and told we cannot come back tomorrow because I did not show up to the meeting and he knew I was not going to show up because I had a previous appointment. He has control issues and they never take responsibility or have solutions for what can be done next and have never made apologies or taken actions or offered to talk to the rotation of staff.

The director was incredibly pleasant and understand of my situation and spent time with me to answer my questions and talk through my concerns. I would be thrilled to have my kids there or to recommend this to other parents. I wish it could have worked out for me, but I wanted to be sure to write this review of my experience there and to let other parents know they should definitely consider this a TOP option.

Our daughter attended this daycare for only two days, and what happened during that short time left…read moreus shocked, angry, and heartbroken. On her very first day, she came home with wet underwear. We tried to give the benefit of the doubt and assumed it might have been an adjustment issue since she was new. But on her second day, she came home soiled with both urine and feces, and when we cleaned her up, we discovered that her skin was raw, red, and broken -- front, back, and between her private parts. This was a severe rash, the kind that happens only when a child has been left sitting in wet or dirty clothing for a long period of time. No child develops skin that damaged from a single brief accident or if they had been properly checked and cleaned. We immediately emailed the center director on Friday evening to report this serious issue, but no one ever responded. The center was closed Monday and Tuesday, but on Tuesday morning my husband went in person to speak with the director. She admitted she hadn't even checked her emails yet. He explained everything and asked for a refund, as we could not possibly send our child back after what happened. She said she would speak with corporate and call us back. Later that day, we received a call from a corporate representative in California. She completely dodged the issue and refused to acknowledge what happened. She kept repeating the same line -- that our child was "checked throughout the day." I calmly told her that if our child was checked and cared for properly, there's no way she would come home with her skin raw and damaged like that. Instead of addressing that point, she just kept repeating the same scripted response and acted as if the rash didn't exist. When I asked for escalation, she refused, claiming there was no one above her to speak with. She also said their "policy" required a 30-day withdrawal notice -- meaning we would not get a refund -- completely ignoring that we were withdrawing because of neglect and harm to our child. When I tried again to explain how serious this was, she became defensive and hung up on me. We trusted this center with our child's safety, hygiene, and care. They failed completely. Then, instead of showing concern or accountability, they deflected, denied, and dismissed what happened. Our daughter came home hurt and in pain -- and all we got from corporate was denial and a refusal to even acknowledge reality. If you are a parent considering this daycare, please think carefully. The lack of care, communication, and accountability we experienced is unacceptable. A daycare should be a safe, nurturing place -- not somewhere a child ends up in pain and parents are gaslighted when they speak up.

However, after meeting with the director to review the results, we learned about these additional requirements and fees that had never been disclosed beforehand. The lack of transparency left us feeling misled and frustrated. Unfortunately, we are now out the cost of the assessment and feel that the full financial commitment should have been clearly explained from the beginning.
