He seemed to mean well but simply didn't have any ideas. He kept pausing trying to think of suggestions but never had anything helpful. After five sessions there was still no direction and no plan on what therapies or tools to practice. read more

The only reason I am not giving this service a 5 is because I haven't personally had to use their services for issues in my life. I had the privilege of getting to know David Wells at one time and he truly cares about people. He is professional about his work and his Christian-based service is exactly what it stands for. A true family man and wears the armor of God on a daily basis! read more

We believe that being active listeners, providing sound therapy, and joining the struggler's journey should be standards to benefit our clients. Wells Counseling seeks change through focusing on thoughts, beliefs, and behaviors. Our purpose for Christian counseling is to reach a specific goal for individuals and relational growth agreed upon by client and counselor. History

Established in 2010.

Aggie Owned and Operated. Founded in Houston in 2010, WCS began by serving area ministries and churches who desired to provide on-site counseling to their members and communities. In 2016, after David Wells spent over three years as a Minister of Local and Global Missions, David moved to the Bryan College Station area to reopen Wells Counseling and to continue raising his family in the heart of Aggieland.

Meet the Business Owner: David W.

Having graduated from Texas A&M in 1992 with a degree in Psychology and then from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary with a Masters in Religious Education and a Masters in Marriage and Family Counseling in 1997, David obtained a Texas state Licensed Professional Counseling designation while living in the DFW area in 1999. Then he returned to the Houston area where he became Associate Minister of Counseling Services at Houston's First Baptist Church serving on one of the largest church counseling teams in the state for almost a decade.

Dr. Mays was equally as great. He blew my mind as he told me I sleep w/ my eyes only 3/4 off the way shut & this could be creating some dryness !! WHAT ?!?! No one has EVER told me that, including the follow up at my LASIK center. He recommended several ways for me to address this. I highly recommend Crystal Vision & their team for all your vision & eye needs. I wish more businesses were this customer focused !!!

My husband and I have both seen David, individually and as a couple. He was so kind, insightful, and always great at pointing us back to Jesus. I noticed the comment regarding his office not taking insurance. First of all, I think its hard to actually find counselors that do take insurance. Secondly, he is not in this business to just make money. The second you sit down with him, you will know that his heart is to help people. He truly cares about his clients and it is evident in each session we had with him. So thankful for the way God has used him in our lives. read more

I am a Licensed Professional Counselor and highly recommend David Wells. I have worked with him, and he genuinely cares about the people he works with. He also has years of experience and training. Most counselors do not work with insurance companies these days because they can be difficult to work with. I am speaking from experience. I was blessed to be associated with David Wells following the death of my husband. David is a caring individual that was supportive and helpful in handing my grief. Fortunately I have insurance that covered any sessions I might have needed. I would need to file myself but I appreciate that not having to pay for staff to file for me would keep any fees associated with counseling low and affordable. read more
