I recently asked for a simple service, a medallion signature guarantee that Chase Bank provides for…read moretheir customers. I have been a customer of Chase Bank for 25+ years. I have several hundred thousand dollars in the bank. I needed the signature guarantee to transfer money from my work 401(k) to my brokerage account at another institution. Chase refused to do this for me even though I have been a loyal customer of theirs for several decades. Of course they would give me the signature stamp if I was transferring my money to their bank and they would give me a signature guarantee stamp for other transactions. I'm not sure why they would refuse service to me, I even offered to pay for it.I am thinking of closing my account there. Typical big bank. They are using my money to loan out to their customers and giving me zero point nothing percent interest on my money.
