I recently made some changes to our accounts with Gail Legere…read more I went in this morning and noticed that I wasn't seeing them done as of yet and inquired. Gail got right back to me and said that they were done, but she needed to call electronic banking to make them visible to me. Minutes later the issue was rectified and I was able to see it. Thanks Gail. Thats why we use a community bank. They know us and respond promptly!! Just the best!

It was a pleasant experience to open accounts at Stamford branch today. I was immediate greeted by…read morea staff and the banch manager. Ms. King, the branch manager, was very courteous and friendly. She also explained acoount features and fees to me patiently. Most importantly, Bankwell doesn't nickel-and-dimed customers to death. So far, I'm also impressed with the quality of the online and mobile banking tools and they're easy to navigate around. Furthermore, the phone bank customer supports were very help and nice. I'll provide another update after banking with Bankwell for at least a month.

This organization, situated in Fairfield County, as I am, was a good place to start. Two visits in 24 hours to the branch have been very satisfying in terms of service. They even remembered me! Seriously that's a big deal! I immediately saved $144 per year getting rid of my Bank of America checking account and working with this organization. I only wait for a piece of plastic to arrive ( minor inconvenience) so I can start to resume my normal life with only one Financial institution in place. They've been pleasant to deal with and actually remembered me from day one today to day two! That in itself is remarkable in this day and age where corporate and banker greed is starting to take over our society! Peace out!

I've been dealing with this office for a few years. They're usually good, being that I don't really…read morecall or ask for much, but if I could give them 0 stars right now I would. I have 6 different policies with this office. I called them to add a new homeowner's policy back in August. I got a quote which we spoke about for 2 days strait and adjusted limits and so on and I gave the rep on the phone a credit card to process the premium for 6 months. I explained that there is no escrow for the insurance and that I would be paying out of pocket. Everything was accepted and he emailed me the quote from underwriting. I called regarding a different matter a couple of days ago and then asked about paying the upcoming payment for my homeowner's policy only to find out that they never processed the premium payment and that the policy was not started. She originally said the bank didn't send the payment, I said there was no escrow and that I personally gave a card to use. I do not check my statements because I have a ton of transactions on them but I spoke to the rep at that office a few times over a two-day period and he said that everything was taken care of. The owner of the office couldn't do anything except tell me that she "understands how I feel" and when I pushed for a resolution she said she would contact underwriting and the answer is that there is nothing that they can do. I don't blame underwriting. I blame the incompetency out of this office. Not only am I without insurance for the past 6 months, and that this will definitely cause an issue for me in the future, but her office never started a policy that they would've also made a commission on. This is absolutely unacceptable!
