I guess I'm a little bit old school and like to keep a secondary financial resource. I went in wanting to open a second bank account and all was going well until they checked my background and unbeknown to me, there was a ding in my history from an old student bank account I had opened over 20 years prior with another bank. It was a free student account that I used in college for school expenses and never used again after I had graduated. The account had become dormant and forgotten and I guess when the bank eventually closed it, it left a ding on my history. For some reason, Peoples Trust had issues with that, despite me going to the original bank getting an official letter clearing up the issue. They had to go in another office to have a private discussion and I was able to overhear what sounded like a pretty condescending conversation about me on whether to allow me to open an account. After some time, they came back and said they were willing to proceed but with all sorts of conditions and limitations, one being that they would not allow me to have a debit card for several months. Basically, I could deposit money but would have a hard time accessing it. What's the point? They treated me as if I was some kind of major risk to the bank. You'd have thought I went in asking to borrow a few million. I simply just wanted another resource to deposit my earnings. How is that a problem? Seems like they have some "trust" issues of their own. Basically, I decided right then and there it was a no go, and I couldn't trust them with my money and therefore will never consider them in the future. I believe their name is nothing, but a falsehood based on what I experienced.

CIS transferred our loan to another lender effective January 2, 2019. As of today the transfer is…read morestill incomplete. Therefore, the credit bureau is showing the loan as open. This negligence is holding up the process for us purchasing a new home. We call weekly to resolve and are continuously told by CIS it's "processing". This has been the worst lender experience ever!

State Farm? More like State Fraud or State Scam. They are constantly changing something about your…read morepolicy just to try and sucker you out of more money. Sad thing is a lot people probably just go along with it and let them railroad them however they wish but not me. They once sent me a check and said I was due a partial refund because my policy had been adjusted to reflect a lower rate. I was actually pretty happy. Well over the course of the next several payments the rates fluctuated and were never consistent. The most recent payment I paid in full for 6 months. Not 3 weeks later I get a bill asking for more money as my policy had been changed and if I didn't pay up they would cancel my insurance. I have never submitted a claim. Ok by me as they didn't have to cancel it because I did. I wasn't about to send these suckers any more money. Their not gonna use me to make up for all of their bad drivers. At the end of the day the joke was on them. I dropped them like a hot potato and had them send me a check for a refund. Needless to say I found the same coverage substantially cheaper from another agent. If they start the same crap that State Farm tries to pull I'll drop them too.
