The bank staff knew their customers by name, they talked as friends, they could even bring in their pets, which were also known by name and given treats. The bank manager handled the setup of my account personally and I left feeling as though I was seen as a person, not an account. I am getting all the services I would get at one of the major national banks, including online bill payment and debit/credit card, and I have the satisfaction of dealing with a local community bank that did not accept TARP money. I would encourage anyone to move their money from their national bank accounts to this community based (and Community FOCUSED) bank.

Fees for services are better than most banks and credit unions. Any changes I have had to make to distribution of money have been handled quickly and efficiently. I have my pension directly deposited into my accounts and they go without any hitch. Not only do I have savings and checking accounts with TFCU, but I also have my primary credit card with them. I recently realized in the middle of the night that I had been scammed. I called the credit card phone number and they got on it right away. They canceled my current credit card and gave me a totally new one and they were also able to have the money refunded back to my credit card account. I have to do my banking online because I do not live near a branch but so far, so good.

Everything was running smoothly until I noticed late 2025 that they stopped updating my balance. Won't even go into the calls I've made n the responses. Can't get a call back or an email. N now they're saying my August payment is late but it was processed ion August 19th (due the 21st). Now I have to take time out of at least one day... probably more... to go to a location n straighten this out. Additionally, they're website SUCKS n u can't make additional payments to the principal like at normal banks. I've reported them to the Better Business Bureau. You should do the same!
