This branch is tucked back in a large office building, right on the edge of the industrial park. I get the impression that most of their clientele are local businesses, though I'm sure that there are plenty of local workers who stop by from time to time. The tellers are friendly & the manager is pretty nice too (he set up my account once upon a time). The ATM is right when you walk into the office building, while the bank itself is in a suite a little deeper in the building. It feels weird for a bank, but I guess it's not anything bad, just different. There are some visitor spots in the parking lot to get you in and out a little quicker. Just beware of the hours...unlike other M&T branches who stay open late a night or two a week as well as some Saturday hours, this one is a M-F 9-4. Great for running out at lunch but inconvenient otherwise for us working folk!

On rare occasions you may have to wait for one or two customers ahead of you, but the service provided when you get to a teller is consistently efficient and friendly. The location along a major artery in Bethlehem is convenient and easy to access. The property is very well-maintained, is accessible for those with a disability, and the lobby is ample-sized to handle up to 4 customers at the same time (there are usually 3 tellers on duty). I prefer a more personal banking experience and this credit union meets my needs very well.

As to the limits, you've only to call and tell them you wish to raise the daily limit for the day. This is a protection for you the customer, so no one can get hold of your card and code and clean you out. If you need a large amount of cash from your account, you've only to call ahead and tell them you need this and they will make arrangements for you. I've been banking with these people for at least forty years and never had a problem and that includes mortgages and car loans. I left briefly because I live in Nazareth and didn't want to go the Bethlehem to go into the bank. I quickly ran afoul of the ridiculous rules and came back to Bethlehem 1st in short order. Of course, that office vanished, but I have moved to Eastern PA. 99% of my contact is Schwab is done online. However, I have visited the Cedar Crest office in Allentown, PA probably 8 to 10 times over the last decade. I live about a half-hour drive from this office. On one occasion, I wanted to withdraw a large amount for a downpayment on a house. I was able to walk in and get the check within minutes. Another time I met with Mr. Brooks for general long-term advice. His advice was very general (diversify!), but worthwhile. Most times I deal with the agent who mans the counter at the reception area. I don't know his name, but he has always been friendly, helpful and efficient. By the way, if I recall correctly, 35 years ago trades at Schwab cost $29 and had to bought in lots of say, 10 or 100 shares. There was an added expense for what they called odd lots. Today most trades are free and it is even possible to buy fractional shares. It has become easier and cheaper to be an individual investor. If you live in the Allentown area this office is a pleasure to deal with.
