Walking up to the building the had great marketing signs of specials they were offering for IRAs and Certificates. As I walked into the location to women immediately greeted me. I noticed how clean and night it was inside and how then have a complimentary coffee station for customers. This was perfect for this unusual cold March day in Charlotte. The clerk assisted me with my deposit as well as answering my questions regarding my debit card. Again I've had the account for quite some time and never used it. So I wanted to make sure it was still doing ok and my card was ok. They provided great assistance and informative on ways to activate my card if needed as they no longer offer this feature in store. They didn't try to talk with me about opening more accounts or solicit anything to me. I truly appreciate that trulient. Over all I had a good first experience.

During his time there, he never called out once, consistently stepped up whenever the branch needed help, traveled to other locations on short notice, and even took on lead teller responsibilities without proper compensation. He built strong relationships with members and was the top-performing teller in his branch. Despite all of this, he was let go for being late three times -- each instance by about six minutes. There was no pattern of poor performance, no history of misconduct, and no consideration given to the overwhelming value he brought to the team and the members he served. The decision shows a complete lack of appreciation for loyalty, work ethic, and dedication. For an organization that promotes community values and member relationships, this treatment of a reliable and high-performing employee is deeply disappointing and is absolutely unethical. It sends a clear message that hard work and commitment mean very little here. Anyone considering working for Skyla Credit Union should be aware of how quickly and unfairly you can be discarded, regardless of your performance or dedication. Last week the bank called to warn me that a credit card payment would not clear due to lack of funds in a business account. They assisted me with a transfer of funds to cover the payment in order to meet the 2 pm. deadline. They ultimately saved me a service charge of $36. I was very grateful! We have had a few other quirky situations with kid's in college and living out of state and I could call and get answers to my questions/problems. We have two business accounts, HELOC account and a joint checking and I will never leave First Citizens. We have banked at the big name banks and the turnover and personal service has never been there! You will always get a smile when you walk into First Citizens and I guarantee they will learn your name if you go regularly. Thank you for all you do!

This branch along with the bank have offered me nothing short of the worst experience that I ever had with a bank. Not only did they completely messed up my account, they simply dropped the ball in every aspect of that situation. At the time of this review, they have some of the lowest APR for vehicle loans for the general public - 2.49% for up to 84 months. Yet, there is some issues that they need to address especially since they service the entire nation - even if they are small. To join the credit union - they are still doing paper applications, which has to be mailed if you are out of state - no reason to do this anymore in 2020. Also no reason to send e-mails regarding your account instead of through a secure, internal messaging system. After one's credit is pulled for a loan is when you learn, that they have a monetary limit how much they will loan for a private sale. So this excludes high-end vehicles. This should be notated somewhere on their website or even before you apply for a loan. Speaking of the website, after you login, it could definitely benefit from upgrades at least in terms of navigation and options to the user - very basic. While the staff were friendly and quick to respond to my e-mails - they should probably have more staff on hand and adjust a few shortcomings - especially since anyone can join this credit union.
