Avoid this branch like the plague. I withdrew a large amount of cash for a vehicle purchase and the teller, Kimberly, shorted me $300. I have no way of knowing if it was purposeful or accidental, but I do know that it's upsetting that my bank can't get something right that should be elemental. She counted the money in front of me using a counting machine with a digital display. She ran it through twice, saying: "The machine may make a mistake once, but it'll never make the mistake twice!" If only. The digital display showed the right amount, both times, and she sealed the money in two envelopes. When I got home, I counted it. I counted it again. And again. I got two other people to count it, too. Each time the same result: I was short $300. I've never had anything like this happen. The shadiness, or, at best, incompetence, is extraordinary. And costly. To me. I filed a complaint with the main WF customer service team and if it's not rectified this bank is going to lose yet another customer. read more

Worst customers service hands down. Left the establishment in tears. Employees as well as manage will do the bare minimum. I was told "they didnt have time to help me" due to it being 30 mins before closing and they had a line out of the door. It was absolutely embarrassing, the worst part is that no one would lift a finger to help me. If they would of just taken a few moments we could of resolved the issue instead they put me down in front of everyone in the building and then left a crying while a line of people starred at me. I was truly honestly disguisted by the lack of empathy and effort. Never have i ever been treated so badly. Never ever will i reccomend this bank, especially this location. I got better customer service from the liquor store that can cash checks than this place will ever have. read more

I've been doing my personal banking at Wells Fargo since I was a teen, which is more decades than I'd like to admit. This branch makes me want to take a shit on the lobby floor and throw it at the prison-visiting-room glass wall separating the patrons from the tellers......like I'm a gorilla in an ape house at the zoo, which is how the assholes on the other side of the glass make me feel. I've been depositing fairly substantial draws on profits from my businesses for years with no problems. But last time I did so earlier this month, using the ATM at this branch, I was informed by my electronic receipt that Wells Fargo would be holding my check for TEN FUCKING DAYS. I walked into the bank and asked a reasonable question: WTF? Ten days? You're going to take possession of the funds from my business account and sit on the money for TEN DAYS? They explained to me that the ATM was on a "different system" and there was nothing that they could do about it. They advised me to come into the bank next time if I wanted to avoid a hold. So today I come in with a deposit for a substantial five-figure sum, and following their earlier advice, go inside to visit a teller. The teller does the perfunctory stuff and then says, excuse me, because of the size of the deposit, I need to get it approved (like always -- no big deal). Her supervisor come forward, runs the checks, and then asks me, "Were you expecting to receive these?" Because I wrote the checks and didn't "receive them," I don't immediately grasp what she means by the question, so I ask her to explain. She obliges me by repeating the question, word for word. I tell her that I heard her the first time, but I didn't understand the question and was looking for clarification. She repeats her question a third time, word for word, like what she heard was, "Eh, missy?! I didn't hear you! Come again?!" Finally it dawns on me: Was I expecting to receive the two checks from the person who had written them? (That would be me, as should have been clear from her thorough examination of the checks.) I tell her sort of.....I had taken end-of-the-year draws on the advice of our CPA, for tax purposes. She then informs me that there will be a hold on the checks. I explain to her that I had been advised after my last deposit to come inside to make deposits if I wanted to avoid a hold. I said that I'd been banking with Wells Fargo since the mid-1970s and my last two deposits were the only times I've ever been told that the deposits were subject to holds. What gives? She says, "Lots of check fraud." I repeat, "Yeah, but I've been banking with Wells Fargo for decades, and the holds on my deposits are a new thing. Haven't I built up some credibility by now?" She says: "The holds are done by the computer. It's random." I respond: "Random? If the computer is doing it, it's not likely random. Is there a deposit size threshold or a rule of thumb or an algorithm or something that triggers the hold that you can share with me, for future reference?" Her (dismissively): "No. It's random." Me (incredulously): "There's no rhyme or reason to it? You're really saying it's random?" Her (icily): "It's random. Have a good day. I recently had fraud on my account. Purchases were being made in Texas (I live in Ca.) and Wells Fargo never caught it. Had I not been on top of checking my account I would've been out that money. After several phone calls and a visit to the local branch a few times i finally got a claim going and I was eventually reimbursed but still such an inconvenience of my time. Recently, I went in to deposit my check. Upon checking my balance I realized it never posted to my account and come to find out it was deposited into someone else's account. Luckily for me I saved my transaction receipt so figuring it out only took a phone call. Without that receipt I don't know what would of happened.. read more

Closed my account today after 17 years as a loyal Wells Fargo Customer. Have been a customer since I was 19 years old. This was once a great bank. Sadly, not anymore. Ironically, closing my account had nothing to do with Wells Fargo's recent woes related to the scandal of opening erroneous sales accounts on the backs of existing customers in order to gain bonuses by certain employees. Sadly, I was also not surprised by the scandal after having an account opened for additional services with a 3rd party vendor without my authorization several years ago after opening an IRA account with Wells Fargo. I have had trouble for some time with Wells Fargo processing checks and holding them before depositing them into my account for 5-10 days. We are talking about checks from the IRS, a local Title Company down the street, and other in town businesses. They also refused to add my husband as an authorized user on my account without requiring I change my account to a joint account (instead of an individual account). Never had this issue at my other banks. They also made things difficult when wiring money for real estate transactions, or drawing a bank check. Every time I have walked into Wells Fargo for something that needed to be done at a branch, the process was exceedingly difficult and always cost me money. I suppose the moral of my review is not to wait on switching banks if your bank isn't working for you. After 17 years as a VERY LOYAL customer, I was made to wait for some time in order for a business banker to close my account. That business banker never once asked WHY I was closing my account, nor did she state she was SORRY to loose my business or HOPED that I would come back to be served by the company in the future. Talk about unprofessional. WHY did I wait so long? In the meantime, I have had conversations with others who are having similar experiences with holding checks for long periods of time (or even cash deposited in the ATM) for several days to over a week! Makes you wonder if Wells Fargo is riding that interest as long as they can before giving you your money? I'm pretty sure the money was mine all along, but you wouldn't know it by the way your money is treated. Walked across the street to Bank of America. Opened an account. Deposited cash in their ATM. When I got home, I logged onto their online banking service and was shocked that my money was available for use already. WOW! I'm not advocating for another bank. Just pointing out the difference after moving my business elsewhere. And yes. The service was consistently difficult and cumbersome at Wells Fargo, for years. I just couldn't make myself change thinking it would get better and hoping that my loyalty would count for something. I will say that the teller that gave me my remaining interest on one of my accounts was at least nice enough to make a compliment. Great bank, excellent customer service. If there is a wait, I help myself to the complimentaty coffee. If you're in a hurry mobile deposit or the ATM are conveinent. If any issues arise, which rarely happens, it's handled promptly and effectively. The ladies behind the teller line are always pleasant and welcoming. Worst consistent banking experiences. The place is run by zombies. I always go in to the teller window. I write the deposit account number on the back of the checks in the signing zone. They stamp the back, and then cannot read the account numbers. But that is just typical. Then it goes down hill from there. I tried to get a new bank card about 4 times. The worst experience occurred when the assistant behind a desk did not recognize my out of state drivers license. She moved to a glass enclosed room next to her desk and studied a book of licenses for about 10 minutes. I finally gave up and entered the room. Told her "I quit. Give my my drivers license and let my people go." She was stunned because she is brain dead, for which I forgive her. Next time I am in the bank waiting in line, she approaches me and asks how I'm doing. I explained that I just came from the Bank of America where they have more than one teller and no line, suggested she just go behind the counter and open a window. Then my brain started working and I recognized that she was one of "them." It was hard not to flee in fear. Fortunately my wife was waiting in the get a way car and I made a clean escape. I asked at the main desk for help and they referred me to Daniel Whitmoor-Pryer, a personal banker at this branch. Mr. Whitmoor-Pryer went above and beyond to help me complete my paperwork even though I didn't have an appointment. The customer service I experienced here was incredible! read more

Worst treatment ever at Wells Fargo Bank on Pine St. in Redding, CA, especially when I've been a long time customer! Wells Fargo treated us like criminals and I was called a liar by the assistant branch manager, Gabriel (he will deny). Wells Fargo made such a big unnecessary mess of our whole transaction, according to their own fraud department. A wire transfer, they couldn't even complete a simple wire transfer! Even though a call was made to Wells Fargo prior to initiating the transaction assuring my daughter and her husband, that there would be no problem, it could be done. As a new customer with Bank of America, my daughter and her husband were able to complete the wire transfer of their own money to purchase their first home without incident; ON LINE! The person I worked with at Wells Fargo, Dianna, was very helpful and sympathetic, but her hands were tied. The fraud department was useless with their advice, in fact, it made matters worse! We were appalled at the wire department's incompetents. The bank Service Manager and the District Manager refused to help. If it were up to me, after the way we were treated, I would close all my accounts with Wells Fargo; I'm sure my daughter will be closing hers. I personally think it was all a roués to make interest on their money Wells Fargo held for nearly a month; they never intended to complete the transaction. Do not trust Wells Fargo Bank with anything beyond your checking or savings accounts. And to think Wells Fargo wanted to manage our investments; and go through hell to retrieve our own money...I don't think so! I doubt this will show up on Wells Fargo Bank's Face Book page, but it will show up on mine, the online yellow pages, yelp, and anywhere else I can think of! read more
