    Hello again My Yelp Family!!! I have patronized this branch for years!!! It is a very convenient…read morelocation for my family. This Citizens Bank is located in Upper Darby, in the Bond Shopping Center. It is surrounded by ACME, Sally Beauty Store, PetCo and Dollar Tree. Across the street it is still considered the Bond Center and there is T-Mobile, Starbucks, Tru-Mark Credit Union, a nail salon and a pizza store. Erica, Branch Manager and Rasheen, Lic Relationship Banker are what make this banking institution shine!!! If it weren't for these two important individuals, Citizens would be up the CREEK!!! Miss Erica and Mr. Rasheen are two smart and knowledgeable people!!! They know everything there is to know about banking!! They can answer any question you may have. This is my go-to-branch when I need to know anything about my account. This branch was recently renovated and it is simply beautiful!!! An ATM outside the branch, an ATM inside the branch and a drive-up ATM. What more could you ask for after banking hours!!!! Erica and Rasheen always greet customers with a warm smile and how are you doing and how may I assist you today? They know my entire family and can call them by name and remember all of our names when we are not there. I love these people and Citizens should give each of them a raise and a huge bonus!!!! I forgot to mention that one of my jobs was market research. I received a Priority envelope in the mail and it asked me to purchase 5 gift cards from Ebay and 5 gift cards from Amazon. It asked me to purchase the gift cards from CVS, Walmart, or any supermarket such as Giant. Enclosed in the envelope was a $2,360 check. I was skeptical of this and decided to ask Rasheen about it. As soon as Rasheen saw it, he said it was a SCAM!!! Erica happened to be nearby and she echoed it SCAM!!!! My Citizens bank account would have been affected by this and I would have had to pay this money back. Thank GOD for Rasheen and Erica!!! They saved my life and my banking accounts.     I stopped by this Citizens at the suggestion of another customer after receiving a fraud alert last…read morenight. The wait time for Citizens' phone support has been over 60 minutes all day. So I figured I'd try my luck here as I'd heard they do card replacements on site. I arrived at about 4:30pm on a Wednesday, assuming they were likely open until 5. I discovered pretty quickly that they actually closed at 4. Well, I felt pretty silly. Was it a big deal that they were closed? No. Was I frustrated that they were closed? Yeah, after all, I'd have certainly taken care of this over the phone if I'd been able to get through. Was I kicking myself for not checking their hours? Of course. So I'm walking back to my car, silently fuming, as a young woman with a Citizens name tag on walks past me toward the building. "We're closed!" she exclaimed gleefully. "Yes, apparently." I said back to her. "Going home to our families." she said back, with a needlessly condescending and self-satisfied tone, to which I simply replied "Enjoy." Like, was any of that necessary? I was already walking back to my car, having found out they were closed. Like, it costs absolutely nothing to just not be a jerk, and yet this woman felt the need to do so. As a person who works in customer service, I get it, at the end of the day, I wanna go home too. But purposefully seeking out an excuse to be rude is just something else. Y'all really need to re-evaluate your work culture if this is the kind of mean-spiritedness it's producing.

It looks magnificent inside the branch now. This branch has expanded recently. The individual offices are larger. Also the teller stations are people friendly. No more standing on either side. There is an ATM inside the branch where individuals can conduct their transactions after hours for example. Also there is a drive-up window there. The hours there are Monday-Wednesday, 9AM-5PM, Thursday, 9AM-6 PM, Friday, 9AM-6PM, Saturday, 9AM-2PM and on Sunday, the bank is closed. The drive through hours are the same as the regular teller hours. This branch has a parking lot, however many people patronizing other businesses park here. There is a Starbucks nearby and many people park in the Citizens lot instead of parking in the Starbucks lot, because there are other businesses in the shopping center that people patronize such as Republic Bank. The Branch Manager, Mr. Glenn moniters the parking lot to make sure that the people there are Citizens Bank customers. There used to be an ATM outside the branch, but it was taken down when the renovations started. There are also safe deposit boxes available at this branch. The employees: Anton Gobin/Universal Banker, Kathryn Adler, Senior Teller and Erick R. Glenn are magnificent at their individual positions. My family and I are always greeted with a smile and friendly conversation when we arrive. The area of Wynnewood has many well-known businesses across the street as well. There is a Giant, GameStop, Wells Fargo, DSW Warehouse plus other companies. Check out the area - it is well maintained. Good night Yelp Family!!!!

    Fair warning: If you do a counter withdraw here, count the bills…read more I keep my checking account here purely for convenience. If I could deposit cash into an online checking account, I'd drop TD. With TD, you'll have the convenience of the coin counter, branches all over, good hours, dog bones, etc. You'll also have the inconvenience of the additional non-TD ATM fees, but this review should be more about the 5501 branch. For a good number of years, the ATM would be regularly out of money. I haven't had it happen to me at this location for a few withdraws now, but it was happening at a 50% rate. Usually, it isn't a problem but just an annoyance. I would have to walk in and do a counter withdraw, wasting everyone's time. But when they are closed and I can't withdraw cash, it is beyond an annoyance when this is the only location in the area. About 10 or 15 occurrences of this (I'm patient), I finally walked in for the counter withdraw and asked the teller what the issue was with the ATMs at only this location. I got a lot of push back from a female teller in the form of "You will just have to find another ATM" and "No, we won't refund the ATM fees if you use another bank's ATM" and the best "Just do a cash back somewhere". I was in a rush at the time and briefly told her that there was a slogan behind her that said "America's Most Convenient Bank". She definitely didn't like me saying that. She gave me my withdraw ($200) and off I went. I normally count it then but an ATM withdraw turned into a 15 minute stop so I took it in an envelope and left. Driving down Kelly Drive, I thought about how I annoyed the teller and the thought came to me "I bet she shorted me". This has never happened to me, and I've never heard it happening to anyone, but the thought crossed my mind for whatever reason. I pulled over, expecting $200, and counted only $160 with the withdrawal slip showing a $200 debit. Furious and also nervous they wouldn't believe me, I called the branch and got the same woman who just shorted me. I told her the situation, explained I had no time to come back, and she gave me a frantic reply of "Oh! Let me correct this and credit your account $40". I didn't like the person who just shorted me to then correct it, so I told her to not touch a thing and have the manager call me. The teller credited it back to me anyway though I told her not to. The manager called me very quickly, I explained what happened, she confirmed the credit difference, and I came in a few days later for a gift card with some cash on it. I never saw that teller again. I can't say I'm 100% sure she did it intentionally, but it must be terribly difficult to make the mistake of counting to 8 bills instead of 10 on the day I challenged her logic. And to almost instantly credit me the $40 without second-guessing or questioning my identity is strange.

    My friend went in today to withdraw money from his checking account. The banker asked him why he…read morewas withdrawing the money, which was already inappropriate. He calmly replied, "personal matters." Instead of processing the request, the banker told him, "YOU NEED TO LEAVE," with no explanation. When my friend politely asked why, the banker repeated, "YOU NEED TO LEAVE NOW." My friend was shocked by how hostile and dismissive this was. There is no excuse for treating a customer this way, and the interaction felt discriminatory and completely out of line. My friends and I have been loyal Wells Fargo customers for years, and we have never experienced anything this racist or disrespectful. At this point, switching banks seems to be the only option. RUN from this location.

She should be the manager!!!! I had a situation that needed to be resolved and even though it wasn't Ms. Kee's specialty, she assisted me. If it weren't for her, I know that my concern would not have been addressed in a pleasant manner. All managers should be this professional!!!! Ms. Kee has been employed for seven years and it shows!!!!! Ms. Kee treats her clients with respect and goes above and beyond to ensure satisfaction. Ms. Kee is kind, thoughtful, pleasant and knowledgeable. She is efficient and knows her position inside and out. When I have another issue, I will be calling on this fine employee to assist me again!!! Have a blessed day!!!!!!
