Admitted on July 18th straight from the ER! He was moved @8pm Yellow Tower Rm 701. Head nurse that night was Brandi 2 others joined her to check his skin?? Treated him pretty roughly they stripped him pulled his sweats from under him left him totally naked on bed no covers what so ever on his privates or body as they checked his skins?? Came here for a sprained foot.. drove into garage for the emergency room and was told to take a ticket that I'd have to pay per hour on the way out. Went up to the first floor which was the triage area of the emergency room and it's set up like a war zone there's people customers and nurses or employees sitting all over the place mixed in with the people with their computers the lady that checked me in had an attitude which I didn't appreciate when I was feeling like crap from my foot I was moved to my room fairly quickly I asked five employees if this was a county hospital or private and not one of them knew the. While I was sitting in my room and I had the bed away from the door all I could hear was all the giggling and chatting going on in the hallway by the employees personally I think maybe the door should be closed we don't want to hear any of that when we're feeling like crap read more

The care that my mother has received both times she has been here in the last month has been truly phenomenal. She came in as an emergency, and from the admitting ED Physician to the specialists who provided her care, everyone was incredible. The nursing staff in the Green Tower, and now twice in the Blue Tower, THANK YOU!!! You all provide exceptional care! Her quality of care is the reason she was able to get discharged after a few days. People have their complaints about wait times. Anguish or a loved one is hurting. The list goes on. However, it's taking a little bit to get a room ready because someone back there is being intubated at the very moment you are complaining, someone is having their first stroke, or someone has just passed away. The people I just mentioned come first. Those are true emergencies. The ones bashing Wellstar Kennestone, it's not that you aren't cared for. Great morning staff and night staff were amazing. They took great care of me without any problems, they answered all my questions, and they're always on time when I needed them. This might have been the one of the most amazing performance and attitudes that I've had since I've been going to Kennestone. I hope the ladies and gentlemen nothing but good Blessings and Love. I agree that the majority of employees at the hospital are helpful & good people. The nurses seem to have a lot to do & make the place bearable. But right now my husband is in the ER & has been there for 2 days. He was brought in by ambulance because his glucose was over 500 (that's bad). They are feeding him a high sugar & carb diet. To make it simple - his sugar is high & the hospital is feeding him sugar. The worst part is I have NO ONE who can help me! I was transferred via ambulance from Alabama to the trauma ward Green tower, for an open broken fibia, tibia and ankle they did surgery pretty quick and put me in a shared room till a single room opened up. Everyone on that floor was super nice, very compassionate and took time to listen to me and encourage me, i was in for 3 days, pain management was spot on, they made sure that they got ahead of the pain, so pretty much every 3-4 hours around the clock i had some sort of medication. Have had my wife to this hospital too many times. The hospital doctors seem more focused on discharging her than treating her. Several times we have been back there within a week. Today was discharged and was supposed to call in an antibiotic but didnt. Residents run the hospital and scary that some of them will be full fledged doctors someday. read more

The nursing staff is AMAZING on the Green Tower new section room GLL41 room (i.e. ground floor lower level). However if EVER assigned Team Attending Physician Sara Sambandham, Digimon M Belele Resident or Chinonso Ani Resident be sure they NEVER enter your room AT ALL without 1st requesting a patient advocate in attendance via the Charge Nurse/their Supervisor or however high you have to go if you have to be inpatient at anytime without family/friends present due to circumstances as you will be in for subpar care, many headaches just trying to get treatment/diagnostic testing planned upon admission (36 hours for an approximate 20min MRI one example) & incorrect RX called at discharge not discussed at last encounter!! They may be smart enough to have the MD behind their name BUT certainly DO not belong in a setting treating patients especially an Attending teaching such bad practices to Residents embarking on their career. Her arrogance & lack of consideration of impact of these actions on the rest of the staff, myself & even the outside pharmacy team shows exemplifies what is wrong in our world SELF ABSORBED SUPERIOR attitude without ability to use common since beyond her narrow framework she "trained" without learning to be a well rounded physician with a true desire to care for & improve patients period. Clearly her hypocrite oath was just something said to get that cert, title, power & more than anything $$$ but will never be considered respecting enough of the MD title in actions only paper PERIOD!!! read more

Horrible I can in on an ambulance and they sent me to the front lobby anyways and said it would be faster after my blood pressure dropped 2 times and I could g hold my head. I ended up waiting 6 hours and I think I'm having a miscarriage and no one has pulled me to the back or anything I haven't spoke to a doctor and they are refusing to give me water after being here all day . The staff are rude and disrespectful they don't care if you live or die they spend time gossiping about patients the doing there dang job. They took my blood I told them I haven't ate in days and needed some water and the refused. A man was in the lobby trying to understand why nobody contacted him about his daughters body being moved she had apparently died a couple hours prior and wouldn't let him see the body just for them to tell him it was moved. This man just lost his daughter you don't see not one staff member doctor literally anyone walk up to him and comfort him or explain what happened no one talked to him nothing instead I saw nurses gathered around waiting for him to go off and talking shit under there breath it was disappointing and saddening. Large hospital with many specialties. Trauma, Neuro Surgery, Cardiovascular open heart and vascular surgery. The old hospital (Green Tower) needs an entire makeover for the patients and the staff. Their new tower (Blue tower) is much larger but clearly the architects had no input from nursing when creating this addition. Facility is large and has grown poorly for the fucntionaliy of patients, family and staff. They would definitely save your life but its difficult to navigate. read more

This has go to be THE WORST Hospital in Georgia. It's so dirty and run down. Some of the staff are nice, some are assholes. I was admitted and was placed in a shared room bc only covid patients get their own room. There was a shared bathroom in the hall. This place felt like jail. The shared bathroom was gross like ewwww nasty gross, who would possibly want to shower in there. How is this sanitary? My roommate was a "non violent" mental patient who would yell things at me but because she was non violent they wouldn't move me. I had a procedure done to see about my stomach and they had to put me to sleep, when I woke up, my mouth was busted open and cut. Swollen and bleeding. Nobody had an explanation for why this happened. At this point I felt very unsafe so I wanted to leave. I signed myself out and then I was told I couldn't get my referral nor my prescriptions bc I signed myself out before being released. I was a fall risk but the nurses refused to help me with a wheelchair bc they said they don't assist when you sign yourself out. What happened to human decency? They called hospital security bc I was taking too long to get my things, mind you I was very weak, who ended up being nice and apologizing to me several times. One nurse saw me struggling and grabbed a wheelchair and my belongings. She assisted me outside where I sat for 1.5 hrs until my ride was able to get me. This was the sickest I have ever been and a very scary experience for me. I had to wait way too long in a very scary emergency situation in the lobby after passing out and experiencing very dangerous symptoms. The two first nurses that helped me get the IV in did the best they could in a very traumatic situation. I was placed in the pediatric unit due to a lack of beds. Those nurses were absolutely all the sweetest and most caring people ever. They could not have been any nicer to me and my care was excellent. Especially my nurse. She was absolutely so kind and really made me feel better. Then I was moved to a regular emergency room. That bed was great. The room was nice. The chairs were absolutely miserable. My friend who stayed with me tried two chairs and ended up sleeping on the floor to be able to lay next to me. The nurses were not as nice as the pediatric nurses, but my care was good. Everything seemed to take a very very long time. At points, I was waiting hours for medicine. Even to get fluids initially took a very very long time and I was in absolute agony. While I was in this room, a woman came on the TV and asked me a few questions. My biggest complaint of this entire stay is just how rude and judgmental that woman was to me. I was having pancreatic issues and this woman made a comment towards drinking that this may be a wake up call for me. It was honestly so uncomfortable and I really was in so much pain. Very much not appreciated and not empathetic. Truly a miserable representation of health care. Terrible bedside manner for any medical staff. For someone not even there with me to have such little compassion and be so rude was horrendous. Unacceptable. I was moved the next day to a Non Private room. There wasn't an option for another bed. That bed was not as comfortable and the room was pretty small. There wasn't an option for my friend to stay with me and I did not like that at all. The nurses and care in the staff in the Green wing were all great. Sam especially. She was absolutely so kind and empathetic and truly the sweetest person ever. She had compassion for situations where she heard about the rude TV woman (seriously awful). Any time I needed water, broth, coffee, etc. I had it basically immediately. My care was good, but just took a really long time in most cases to get medicine. But my doctors were nice. The nutritionist was also incredibly kind and compassionate. I liked her a lot. I did not think the food looked great and I was served peas which I am allergic to. I actually was never asked what food I was allergic to before my food was served. And I have a lot of severe food allergies. But I was too nauseous to eat so I can not comment on quality. Overall - I give this experience a 5/10 due to how long it took to receive medical attention and because of how awful the TV nurse was. Sam and the Pediatric nurses were the best. read more

My family has a history of breast cancer & whenever my mom tries to schedule a screening appointment, you are not gentle & do not present with a caring demeanor. Getting these screenings always reminds her of her mother's lost battle to a horrible illness. I never met my grandmother because of this illness either. I am here presently, after my 2nd Kidney Stone Surgery. I can't say enough positive things about Urology Associates and Dr. Michael Bryant. The office, his scheduler, Emma, the Nurses and Drs. at Quantum Radiology who did pre- surgery work were so nice too. My surgery was yesterday and I am in the nicest, new patient room. The nurses yesterday afternoon and last night and this morning have been so pleasant and kind. If you have to go to the hospital, Kennestone is fantastic! read more

Boy, just when you need to be able to give a NO-star review. This review is for Kennestone's ER. My God, it's bad times a thousand. Had COVID-like symptoms (my wife had been diagnosed with COVID the week before, but fortunately she had a "mild" case) in late August. On Aug. 31, I was so sick I wasn't eating, drinking or moving from the bed, was running a fever, coughing up horrible stuff and had an excruciating headache. My wife got worried and talked to my doctor, who told her to take me to the ER. I get there at around 3:15. There's a pretty large crowd but I made a mental note of everyone who was there when I got there so I could rough-guess when it was my turn. I sat on the concrete-hard furniture for about an hour, then was called back to triage. They inserted an IV port, did a COVID test, took some blood, and did a chest X-ray, then told me to go back out and wait. I don't know what sadist designed the ER furniture, but it's the most uncomfortable wait I've ever had. You come in horribly sick, then have to wait hour upon hour on this stone furniture. As much money as Wellstar makes, they couldn't afford comfortable furniture for the sick and injured? That should tell you all you need to know about Wellstar - they don't give a flying damn about patients, just about their profit margin. So I wait. And I wait. And then I wait some more. This has given me ample time to note who's supposedly ahead of me. I watch as every person who was there when I arrived is called back and treated. Then people who've arrived after me start being called back. So after a 5 hour wait, I go up to the front and ask the lady, any chance I've been forgotten? A lady (nurse? Dunno) turns and yells at me, and I mean YELLS, "AIN'T NOBODY BEEN FORGOTTEN! SIT DOWN AND WAIT YOUR TURN!" I'm way too sick to argue so I go back to my seat. At around 9:00, some nurse gets up on a chair and yells out an update to the waiting. I'm too far away to hear most of what she says but I clearly heard her say, "The wait time is running around 5 1/2 hours." Great, that means I'll be seen soon! Not. They continue to bring people back for treatment who got there way after I arrived. I'm so sick and by now, experiencing such a backache from the chair, I can hardly hold my head up. At 11:00 I start to grasp that they aren't going to treat me. I go up to the check-in girl and say, "I've been here since around 3:00. I've seen every person who was here at that time and many who arrived later called back for treatment. Someone needs to tell me if I'm going to be treated or not." She gives me a smug, smarty-pants smile and says, "I can't really say." That's the final straw. I say, "Take this port out NOW. 8 hours and you still can't tell me ANYTHING? I'm out." A nurse comes over, angry that I'm leaving for some reason, yanks the IV port out of my arms, slaps a piece of gauze on, then tries to put a piece of tape on it, which just flops over to the side as my piercing oozes blood. She says, in a very angry tone, "You'll just have to keep pressure on the gauze." No more tape for you, peon! And I had my other hand occupied with a bag of personal effects I'd brought along, so how exactly am I supposed to apply pressure??? So I stumble out the front door into the drizzle, blood running down my arm, bandage flopping in the breeze, every bit as sick as when I got there. What great service! What care! What a bunch of sympathetic humanitarians I've just dealt with! And I wasn't the only one there treated like dog doo on the bottom of a nurse's shoe. There was one guy there who was coughing so violently he was puking. Did they try to isolate him so others wouldn't catch his affliction? No, that would be considered EFFORT! One nurse screamed at him repeatedly, "YOU NEED TO WEAR YOUR MASK WHILE YOU'RE THROWING UP! SIR, PUT ON YOUR MASK WHILE YOU VOMIT!" She never really explained how you're expected to wear a mask WHILE YOU PUKE. Another old lady was in a wheel chair and coughing hard non-stop. No one offered to help, get her away from the rest of the tortured awaiting their turn to be treated (IF that turn ever came). Horrible experience. I told my wife, "Unless I'm 5 minutes from death, NEVER take me to that ER again." We are going to change any Wellstar doctors we currently see. I won't do business with these monsters again. And to cap it all off, Wellstar had the nerve to send me a $1700 bill. I told the lady I spoke to when I called customer "care" (yeah, right) that I would only pay for the care I actually got - a blood test, an X-ray and a COVID test, and not a penny more. Criminals. What a racket these jerks are running. Don't go to Kennestone ER unless you're close to death and can't make it to another hospital, unless you like getting treated like a dog. read more

Caution- Question everything and ensure you have someone with you at all times. Wrong meds, four hour wait for help, instructions and questions while still sedated, no wound care instructions about removing bandages, released prematurely before all tests reviewed by doctor - I could go on. I took a family member to the emergency room as he just had surgery and was having complications. What a huge mistake to bring him here. When we got there, it was like a Third World country as the entire waiting area was full. None of the workers seem like there were any hurry to move people along. There were people that had been there for five and six hours at that point and still were waiting. There were people that were there for chest pain and coughing up blood and were still sitting in the waiting room hours later. Half the people were not wearing masks and have the staff were not wearing masks. It did not seem that anyone made it back to a room according to acuity level. We didn't get back to our role until 7 1/2 hours later. When we finally made it to a room, we had to ask the registration person where a nurse was as no one had come in. Nine hours later, when it was finally time to be discharged, she told her she would be back in a few minutes and an hour later she came back with discharge paperwork. Needless to say, this was an absolutely horrible experience!!! I cannot say enough, if you were having an emergency or are bleeding out your eyes DO NOT GO TO WELLSTAR KENNESTONE HOSPITAL!!!!!! I would rather put a towel over the bleeding and drive to A Northside ER. I can only imagine how many people have collapsed and possibly died in this waiting room just waiting to be seen. In June 2024, our 88 year old uncle entered Kennestone's Cardiac Care Center for aortic heart valve replacement. Although he had cardiac arrest during the surgery and passed away three days later, we cannot say enough great things about the quality of care and compassion that he and his family received. Not only was everything about this hospital exceptional, but the staff was far and beyond the best we have experienced. At all times, we felt welcomed to be at our uncle's side. When he was in ICU, our uncle received two on one care at all times, 24/7. RN's Erica Britsch and Jasmyne Rhoton allowed us to observe everything they did to care for our uncle. They were beyond all that we could possibly expect -- highly professional, compassionate, calm, informative, patient, and kind. Eyes were on my uncle at all times. They worked long shifts, and although we were sure that they must be tired, they never showed it. All they seemed to care about was giving our uncle the absolute best attention possible. We cannot express enough gratitutude to Erica Britsch and Jasmyne Rhoton. I would be grateful to have them caring for me after complicated surgery. We would also like to thank Dr. Ahmed AlBadri, MD, Interventional Cardiologist. What an incredible professional! He communicated with us throughout the process, and patiently repeated explanations for different relatives. He even pulled up photos from the Internet on his phone to illustrate the conditions that he was describing. Problem solving with his team, Dr. AlBadri did everything possible to save our uncle, yet respectfully followed our uncle's wishes not to have open heart surgery or to be resuscitated when in a coma. Our uncle did not want to live out the rest of his life in a nursing home, and Dr. AlBadri knew of and respected our uncle's wishes. Dr. AlBadri is exceptionally caring and kind. Finally, we would like to thank the RN's whom we did not meet, but took great care of our uncle during the long night shift: Sophia Larsen and Cierra A. Pfaff, and the kind nurses in the pre-operative unit. Moreover, we would like to thank the entire staff of the cardiac intensive care unit. Various doctors, physicians' assistants, and nurses expressed compassion and were accessible to us. They went far and beyond when our uncle passed, guiding us to a private conference room, providing a list of local funeral homes and cremation centers, and providing us snacks and sodas. They allowed us to remain in the room for two hours and offered the services of a Chaplain. We were "blown away" by this amazing staff! read more

THE WORST HOSPITAL EVER!!!! You share emergency rooms with others. They can hear your Full name, DOB, symptoms and your discussions. You can hear theirs, there is no privacy. I FEEL THIS VIOLATES EVERYONE HIPA RIGHTS. ONLY THING THAT SEPARATE YOU FROM OTHER PATIENT IS A THIN SHEET. THESE DOCTORS ARE NOT HELPFUL. I know the lady next to me symptoms, name and her issues. I can hear the Dr. Patel discuss my issue with another Dr. and to hear the other doctor laugh and then compare me to a character in the movie. Like this is embarrassing, not been taking serious. Dr. Patel suggest that I swab myself or they can do it. Like WTH, I can see why ppl don't like coming here. I would rather deal with GRADY then Kennestone Wellstar ever again. America hospital medical staffs are SHIT. Then they put me out the room to sit in lobby. Then they came and discuss my lab results in the lobby with other people near. Not that Dr. Patel was loud discussing my issues but you don't know who can hear even a whisper. Then they took me to another private room to check me out. So ass backwards and then the nurse came back in checking my finger and blood pressure again. Left again registar came in and then left me in there til I found a doctor to see if I could leave. Medicine was suppose to be called in WASN'T, thankfully the Dr. gave me my scripts to take with me. IF YOU DON'T HAVE INSURANCE THEN DON'T EXPECT GOOD SERVICE This is the worst hospital experience ever. UPDATE: Went to the restroom today after getting a female examination from the Dr. Patel and had a blood clot inside me that came out. Seven hours by ambulance to Kennestone... IV accessed in ambulance. When arrived at hospital, was in SVT and Affib. Monitors going off, Bp at its lowest, 189/102. Shaking uncontrollably from pain, anxiety and fear. Nurse brings me Tylenol 3. In my IV as I'm watching blood pour from my iV and crying in pain and she says " your IV has blown! Does she stop... no! Dr order blood work, chest x-ray and CT while on a 12 lead cardiac monitor. Hit my call button 12 times, nothing until I was screaming for help. First seizure... no nurse, no Dr. Lied about my labs, my urine was never cultured and Dr comes in to release me. I'm shaking so hard at this point I can barely comprehend. He says " your head scan is normal. No need to admit u. I screamed at this point, livid, " what the fuck are u talking about?!" Asked for charge nurse. 1.5 hours later she comes in. I was crying so hard and she says " I'm sorry, we are busy, mistakes happen", WTf?! Level one trauma unit! I discharged myself and while waiting on my daughter had a massive seizure outside in the rain. Nurse at desk and the security guard watched, yelled outside in the pouring rain "you good" and as my body is convulsing, and I couldn't speak, they walked back inside! Fuck Kennestone! YES, the wait was long in the ER, but than again, I was not dying or bleeding. I expected for the waiting time to be long anyway. Staff was very friendly from the get go. COVID was still in "full bloom", and the employees were smiling and taking good care of me. The new ER is clean and beautiful and really huge. Unfortunately my husband could not wait in the lobby because of the COVID and he had to go sleep in the car in the parking garage. After 12 hours he went home because I was admitted to the hospital 3 AM Saturday morning. So getting into the room took another 12 hours. That was because there were no available beads in the hospital. Finally when I got a room on the 7th floor in the green tower, It was worth waiting for. Room 714 was a room with a view over Marietta, and beautiful Metro Atlanta area. All the health care workers were wonderful, and most of them also had a great sense of humor. So I laughed a lot during my visit. That made my stay there so pleasant. Only annoying thing was that my IV kept on beeping every time I fell asleep. But hey, this was a best hospital visit I ever had. Nurses even let me stay in the room till Sunday afternoon because the waiting area was closed, and my husband could not pick me up earlier. Go here if you want to die.... My mom was fine until admitted to this place. Went in for a UTI ended up with pneumonia and AFib... she just passed. Too many cooks in the kitchen not enough care and respect for the elderly. This should not have happened. I hold them completely responsible. read more

Recently had a family member in intensive care. Nothing but praise for the crew there. Very well run and organized. Our nurse was professional and super friendly. I believe her name was Olivia. It was comforting that she always had a smile when talking to us in such a critical time. She seemed always present... and handled her task quickly , yet gave the family plenty of time to digest what was happening. She was always up front with us. Our family member eventually did succumb to cancer. The staff treated the family with utmost respect. Great job! read more

I recently was sent to Kennestone from a cycling accident. Bleeding on brain, 3 broken ribs, T2 compression fracture and bruised lung, road rash all over my back. I woke up with used IV bag and hose, pants, and shoes in my bed. My girlfriend had to clean blood and feces from my back side, I asked the staff to help and they walked out. The cat-scan staff drugged me off the taller bed onto the cat-scan machine. The entire staff were rude assholes with the exception of 2-3 people. while trying to sleep that night my heart rate machine kept going off and not one time did a staff member come in and check on it. They never acknowledge or treated my road rash. When sent home they Listed my medications wrong on the paper so I was taking the wrong medicine. I would absolutely love to take action with a lawyer. this is hands down the worst experience I have ever had at a hospital. read more
