I came here to get clearance for oral surgery after an oral surgeon from Emory University referred me here because she was concerned about a heart condition I suffered from when I was born. My experience with the cardiology team at Children's Healthcare of Atlanta couldn't have been better. Dr. Phelps was very kind and detailed throughout the entire visit and gave me clearance for the surgery. I was amazed at how she never questioned our diet (my mom and I are vegans and we have had a few other doctors that weren't from Children's try to convince us that this type of diet is bad) and I also couldn't get over how she is a doctor of osteopathy which we are really fond of! The nurses were also very friendly throughout the entire visit. I would highly recommend Dr. Phelps for all your cardiac needs!

She wanted to confirm the type of appointment I needed and followed up with me same day and was able to get me scheduled for an appointment on Monday. Long behold Monday comes and I get a phone call stating that my appointment would have to be rescheduled. At this point I have already made the necessary arrangements to have my appointment today so of course I would be upset about a last-minute change. I talked to Kimberly the supervisor who was extremely rude and actually took offense to me being upset about a last-minute change to my schedule. She was extremely condescending and at that point I requested to speak with Dr. MichaelFelder regarding the change and the reason why....she promise me that I will get a call back from the doctor after they were done with clinic and long behold I'm on the phone with her and that rude attitude once again.....prior to us hanging up I made it very clear that I did not want to schedule an appointment until I spoke with the doctor directly. I cannot uproot my schedule knowing that a last-minute changes just a phone call away you have to be respectful of people's time and the changes that very well may impact them she called me back insisting on scheduling the appointment, she talked over me while I was rearranging that I still would like to speak to the doctor and then she made me aware that Dr. MichaelFelder would not be returning my call it's a shame that this review had to go online when I really could have expressed this with a simple phone call. Kimberly stated that I can go ahead and do that review because the doctor still won't be calling me back. If these are the type of people you have working at your office I refuse to do service with this location. This has nothing to do with Eggleston because I think they're great Children's Hospital but I also want you all to be mindful of who you're going through to have your appointment scheduled.

Technicians that operate the Echocardiogram, Carotid Ultrasound and Electrocardiogram are amazing. Very well trained and a wonderful bedside manner. Going for a check up can be stressful enough. But billing issues can really add to the visit. Not at Cardiology of Atlanta I've only had 1 billing issue and they were efficient in explaining the type of coverage I had and how it works. Dr Wilson is amazing. Never rushes through the visit, very thorough and explains all the test results in detail but in a way you can understand. Just a top notch Cardiology group from the time you walk in until the time you leave. So glad I have this team on my side.

I had an experience here back in December of 2025, and it took me so long to share because of how…read moreuncomfortable I felt about the entire situation. I am young and used to not being listened to, but this visit took it to the worst possible level. Dr. Mabile has ignored my pain on multiple visits before this since 2022 and never provided any medication or numbing, but what I experienced with Dr. Illston can only be described as casual cruelty. She first left me in the room for over 45 minutes, then came in and out repeatedly, leaving for long periods. She also refused to re-prescribe me my birth control, which cost about $2.00 with insurance, even after I asked. She instead prescribed me Slynd (which they seem to be pushing lately), which costs over $200 even with insurance. During the pap smear "attempt," I was given no pain relief, and she ignored my discomfort and pain and tried to tell me that a tampon and speculum were the same size; therefore, this should be no problem. She also inquired about my sexual activity and virginity status, then recommended penetrative sex as a way to get used to the pain. Needless to say, her comments were extremely inappropriate and rude, bordering on discriminatory language. I would not recommend this practice to any woman of color or queer person, as they are not affirming or understanding in the slightest. Dr. Illston, in particular, should be fired. For such a medically invasive field, one would hope they'd be better, but practice does not care about you or your feelings.

Her type of care is top notch! In an hour I was seen and done. In an hour!! Which actually didn't feel like an hour. Have to pay for parking. Free up to 30 mins FYI. Clean office! This is my first time visit, had to go downstairs to get blood drawn, wasn't a success. Wasn't feeling the vibe anyway. Went back upstairs, Melinda, she drew my blood so quickly, I didn't have time to pass out! Lol. Overall great experience!!
